I object to the two storey building being built in the park

Courtney Bezuidenhout (Ventersdorp , 2020-07-23)

#4

I strongly object to Marloth Park becoming a high density residential Township. The infrastructure cannot handle the current load - water, sewer and electricity takes forever to get connected. Roads are poorly maintained and security is poor. Then, silence and the reason for being in the Bush is ignored.

Paul Rosengarten (Sandton , 2020-07-23)

#5

Unacceptable to have blocks of flats in a quiet nature reserve town

Johan Vosloo (Mbombela , 2020-07-23)

#7

I'm signing because I am a property owner in Marloth Park and as well as agreeing with all the points that the author of the petition has raised , I believe it will be detrimental to the Marloth Park community

Elizabeth Ann Cook (Roodepoort, 2020-07-23)

#12

Its outrageous to think of buildinga 2 story block of flats in Marloth

Thomas Winstanley (Randburg, 2020-07-23)

#18

I am the owner of a stand in Marloth and I am in the process of buying more stands to develop for my retirement. I object against this development at hand as this will break the image and core values of Marloth Park and its surroundings

Hennie Snyman (Johannesburg, 2020-07-23)

#24

The proposed dwelling is not in keeping with the original values of Marloth Park. Also I do not believe the current drainage and water system will be able to cope with the number of dwellings proposed.

Ms. Susan Gray (SOUTHAMPTON, 2020-07-23)

#25

I object as per letter

Cynthia Saphir (Roodepoort, 2020-07-23)

#26

Marloth is a place of sanctuary . Marloth is already a place where people have invested their money in the bushveld to get away from city living lifestyles. Marloth is not a place for two storey dwellings . People in Marloth invest in nature not housing developments. In all honestly it’s unlawful that Marloth residents got very little notice of being able to object to this .

Ruth Smit (Johannesburg , 2020-07-23)

#28

Flat complex will have a negative impact on the conservation and nature lovers!

Louis Coetzee (Kathu, 2020-07-23)

#30

Against this action.
This will change the idea of Marloth parks tranquil holiday destination. Its not a city, its a town hidden in the bush.

Lizette Janse van Vuuren (Komatipoort, 2020-07-23)

#31

I am against the development of a block of flats over 5 erven in Marloth Park

Luan Swanepoel (Johannesburg, 2020-07-23)

#34

Property owner in Marloth Park

Anne-Marie Pretorius (Komatipoort, 2020-07-23)

#35

Because it goes against the ethos and principles of a Wild life town

Carol Gonsalves (Marloth Park, 2020-07-23)

#36

Will take away the purpose of going on holiday to the bush and will hurt the amazing reputation of Marloth. This is a big no no for me. Please do not allow this development to happen.

Chantelle Botha Olivier (Vaalpark , 2020-07-23)

#38

I strongly object against the proposed application to consolidate the abovementioned ervens and to rezone from residential 1 to residential 2 to allow for building of a two storey block dwelling units.

Karen Badenhorst (Nelspruit, 2020-07-23)

#39

We are totally against any huge developments in Marloth Park especially blocks of flats

Linda Merrick (Krugersdorp , 2020-07-23)

#41

Nature should be kept original!

Liza Opperman (Marloth Park , 2020-07-23)

#42

There are always opportunists trying to destroy Marloth Park. They must be stopped. We must be vigilant. This applicant doesn't even have a genuine registered company.

Athalie Besseling (Johannesburg, 2020-07-23)

#44

This development is not in the interest of the wildlife and conservation in Marloth Park.
The noise pollution will also be unacceptable.

Jacobus Loubser (Witbank, 2020-07-23)

#48

If the developers are trying to sneak in a development in a non-transparent manner, it is totally unacceptable.

Christa McEvoy (Marloth Park, 2020-07-23)

#49

I agree with all the points mentioned that this must not go ahead

Amanda Bouchet (Howick, 2020-07-23)

#53

I don’t approve!

Ryan Graham (Johannesburg , 2020-07-23)

#54

Against this type of development in Marloth Park.

Chantal Smith (Naboomspruit Limpopo, 2020-07-23)

#56

Marloth is about nature, not high-density accommodation.

What would the impact on the animals be if these types of developments are allowed?

If they want to build blocks flats, they should consider Komatipoort or Hectorspruit - these are not holiday towns like Marloth Park where wild animals roam freely!

Eugene Stavast (Marloth Park, 2020-07-23)

#57

I own property in Marloth and dont want it ruined . This would be a disaster for marloth park both for its natural forage and forna but also for investment.

Mark Bell (Johannesburg , 2020-07-23)

#59

Having spent many holidays in Marloth Park as a home owner there. This proposed development is wrong.

Janet Thorne (Jersey, 2020-07-23)

#60

I object to anyone applying to consolidate erven to build flats.
1. This is not a high density zoned area and animals have enough problems with getting food due to development.
2. Once you allow this once everyone has the right to di the same.people will abandon their properties and Marloth will become a slim and a ghost town with noone prepared to pay rates. This is too close to Kruger as well to allow which provides a massive income together with Marloth on the tourist industry. We will fight this ti the death. You will have demonstrations of the third degree to deal with and be unpopular country wide for even considering such a ludicrous idea .

Charles Ramsay (Marloth Park, 2020-07-23)

#62

The intended develpment will change and negatively impact the atmosphere and ambienace of a holiday township where esthetics dictates seclusion in the quiet natural beauty of the African bush. The development will forever and irritrievably change the carater of Marloth Park and the damage caused can never be undone. It should simply not be allowed.

Gerhard Volschenk (Ballito, 2020-07-23)

#63

Marloth Park are over populated as it is cannot allow this

Nico Van Wyk (Marloth Park, 2020-07-23)

#65

I do not think there should be any flats or high buildings been permited to be build in marloth.

Sarel Knoetze (Marloth, 2020-07-23)

#66

We are against the building of flats. This is a wild life conservancy for wild life. We don't have the need for something like this.

Colleenu Human (Marloth Park, 2020-07-23)

#67

Marloth Park is a holiday town. No EIA impact study that indicate a commercial block of flats will not impact on the environment. Thus appears to be low cost housing for mine employees. Go and build on the mine site.

Petro Rossouw (Hoedspruit, 2020-07-23)

#75

I'm not in support of this development!!!

Catharina Zürich (Gauteng , 2020-07-23)

#78

The rules of Marloth Park maintain the integrity and ethos of the township as a low density bush destination and the proposed construction of a building of flats will destroy this

Marion Mason (Randburg , 2020-07-23)

#80

Marloth Park should remain as a it is without further development. The game and wildlife need to be kept conserved in a safe , noise free, pollutant free place.

Dianna Pappin (Port Elizabeth , 2020-07-23)

#81

We dont want this type of development in the park

Bruwer H J (Gauteng, 2020-07-23)

#82

I am an owner and against the building of flats in contravention of the deeds.

Graeme Altenkirk (Marloth park, 2020-07-23)

#85

We bought in Marloth because of the animals and nature not to be in the suburbs. Marloth is a holiday place to be with nature and relax for a holiday not accomdation for everyday. Our animals are the focus here and you taking there space and building a monstrosity. Only one house per ETF not FLATS!!!!!!!!

Jenny Mac Allister (Marloth park, 2020-07-23)

#88

Just a number of valid reasons to consider objection
1. EIA needs to be done
2.No sewerage system can carry such a development
3. Roads infrastructure inadequate
4. Noise pollution - not sure if health dept has a noise pollution policy
5. The area is designed as a nature reserve and the construction and development does not contribute to the overall aesthetics and design of the area
6. A public meeting is required to engage residents on the intention.
7. Change of zoning rights is outside the scope of the area.
8. Spatial development framework must be checked if it makes provision for such a development
9. The detailed plans must be provided before further comments are made.

A public meeting is imperative so that questions could be asked.

Sonja Hartman (Marlothpark, 2020-07-23)

#89

We are home owners in the process of moving there. And under no circumstances will that area be suitable for such a idea. Our biggest reason for wanted to move there, is that it is perfect just the way it is now. We put our last pension money in to be able to move there.

Rina Botha (Sasolburg/Marloth, 2020-07-23)

#90

We are home owners in Marloth planning to move there in the near future. We are pensioners that took our last pension money to be able to move there. The area is not for the purpose of the proposal. Our biggest consideration to move there was becauce it is the way it is at present. The roads, habitat and animal life is extreamly inportant to us. It is perfect the way it is now.

Corrie Botha (Sasolburg/Marloth, 2020-07-23)

#93

As an owner in Marloth Park we object to the developments of apartments.

Andries Van der Walt (Johannesburg, 2020-07-23)

#94

No infrastructure for a block of flats! There will also be too much movement and noise in the park.

Patty Brits (Heidelberg, 2020-07-23)

#95

Marloth Park is not the place to build flats. It does not have the infrastructure, roads, sewerage,
Water etc.

Eric Erler (Marloth Park, 2020-07-23)

#99

This is a nature conservancy and no such development should be allowed. It is against the by-laws of Marloth Park.
I did not purchase a property in Marloth Park to see it destroyed by commercial prospects.

Darin Mac Allister (Marloth Park, 2020-07-23)

#100

I OBJECT to this application. You need to keep in mind that we need to understand and maintain the character of Marloth. Our development structures need to fit the general picture of the natural environment which this “two story block of dwelling units” certainly will not!

Karen Jansen (Marloth Park , 2020-07-23)

#102

I am against the Development..block of flats near gate 1 in Marlith Park

Maria Boshoff (Marloth, 2020-07-23)

As a property owner of Marloth Park, I disagree with the application was made. I object to the developer's intentions, in line with the above statements.

Candice Collins (Johannesburg, 2020-07-23)

Flats doesn't belong in Marloth Park

Maria Botha (MARLOTH PARK, 2020-07-23)

#112

I object
We as owners and rate payers of Marloth Park hereby strongly object against the proposed application to consolidate the abovementioned ervens and to rezone from residential 1 to residential 2 to allow for building of a two storey block dwelling units.

Rita Coetzee (Marloth Park , 2020-07-23)

#114

Marloth Park is a sanctuary for wildlife and humans that need the peace and serenity that this area brings. It allows space and safety for wild animals and gives people the opportunity to interact with nature on a very personal level. It’s a paradise away from the overcrowded and fast pace world where we can live in peace without the noise and disruptive environment outside our chosen piece of heaven. Please do not destroy this beautiful place by making it into the noisy outside world that we want peace from. Please do not rob us of the time, money and effort that all the residents here have put into to make Marloth Park what it is today!!!!

Dahnae Bethell (Marloth Park, 2020-07-23)

#117

We very frequently go to Marloth. Its a place where once relax and enjoy nature.

Do not destroy this place by allowing this development. Too much has been destroyed in this country already...

This is a place of nature dont wreck it

Johan Otten (Middelburg , 2020-07-23)

#119

I'm signing because as a property owner, I do not approve of the idea and strongly object against the proposed application. Our wildlife, environment and infrastructure will be severely negatively impacted.

Telanie Smith (Marloth Park, 2020-07-23)

#120

Buildings of this kind and type don t belong in Marloth. Regulatins have not been followed.

Petra De leeuw (Brummen, 2020-07-23)

#124

Agree to not allow this

Dewald Kotze (Marloth park , 2020-07-23)

#125

I'am signing this because marloth lark is a nature park not a town or a city. it is for people to enjoy nature , in the nature block of flat with high level of occupants will not work , that type of accomodation os for town and cities

Joanne van Heerden (Witbank, 2020-07-23)

#131

I totally disagree with the idea of having flats built in a conservation area such as Marloth Park.

Ivan Harvey (Marloth Park, 2020-07-24)

#133

Marloth park is not equipped for flats due to electricity and water limits, and also space is now limited.

Kathy van os (Malelane, 2020-07-24)

#134

I care for Marloth Park and the animals.

Bianca Schoeman (Roodepoort , 2020-07-24)

#136

This is not what Marloth Park was intended to be. Infrastructure not up to date, water, roads, sewerage, no police involvement

Jacob Jansen (Marloth Park , 2020-07-24)

#137

We want Marloth park to remain as it is and we want to preserve the wild life and bushvelt atmosphere of Marloth for our children and grand children and that is as a wild life sanctuary.

Petrua Van der Merwe (Barberton, 2020-07-24)

#142

We are property owners and invested in Marloth park for all that it has to offer and with rules and regulations that we abide by and comply with and so should everyone else. These should not be negotiable.

James McCall-Peat (Johannesburg , 2020-07-24)

#143

1. No timely notification of re-zoning and of which information system was used.
2. Building of the flats will constitute over-utilization of the land.
3. Noise pollution as there will be more persons in an area.
4. If this residential 2 is approved for these Erfs are passed as legal, it will create a precedent for future developments.
5. Waste water treatment.

Peter Van der Zon (Malelane, 2020-07-24)

#144

We have so few pristine areas in our country. Why oh why does nature always suffer the intrusion of mankind and their greed.

I am owner of 1602 Volstruis, Marloth Park and I definitely not agree with the mentioned development mentioned above.

Monika Krobath (Mürzzuschlag , 2020-07-24)

#159

As a owner of Jackal 754 Marloth Park I am strongly against the built of a 2 story dwelling unit in Marloth Park. This kind of building as well as the notice which was put up too late, is not what we want for Marloth Park and the environment. Therefor I am against this.

M Ten Have (Zoelen, 2020-07-24)

#160

Property owner objection

Marion Beamish (Cape town, 2020-07-24)

#161

I'm appealing against this because it is not in the interest of the park to construct such a type of structure. The EAI impact will be huge, and all the additional traffic will destroy the area

Gary Hanson (Büchenbeuren, 2020-07-24)

#163

The intend of the development of Marloth was never to create such mass residential development such as flats, it does not support the ascetic appearance of the Park, nor does the infrastructure such as water and sanitation cater for such. Furthermore the legal requirement for such notice has not been followed

Jacques Kruger (Meyerton, 2020-07-24)

#164

This development is totally against the rules on the title deeds and will destroy the conservation of Marloth Park. The infrastructure cannot cope with this type of development. His apllication is illegal

Arlene Fox (Marloth Parm, 2020-07-24)

#165

I object to the densification of Marloth Park by the building of flats or hostels. The natural bush environment should be maintained for the benefit of the animals
.

I’m signing because we own a house in Marloth Park, and want to keep it as it is

Owner of Zebra 3490. Do not want there to be anymore noice.

Maarten Wanders (Marloth park, 2020-07-24)

#170

I'm signing because I am against the building of the flats. The infrastructure cannot handle a block of flats, the correct procedure re advertising was not followed.

Riana Pretorius (Marloth Park, 2020-07-24)

#172

There is not enough infrastructure for the current residence. The main road is falling apart and can not carry more trafic. There is water scarcity. A septic tank will not work for a block of flats and there is no surage system.

Alice Myburgh (Marloth Park, 2020-07-25)

#173

Marloth Park is a holiday township & conservation area with specific regulations & conditions in both the title deeds & by-laws. It is not a place to build high intensity flats.

Denis Goffinet (Marloth Park, 2020-07-25)

#175

I object due to the fact that this application did not follow the correct protocol and as a property owner in Marloth I dont think building flat upholds the constitution of the community

Angela Hunter (Marloth park, 2020-07-25)

#177

Because Marloth Park is game reserve and Holiday Township and not a ordinarily residential town. No place for blocks of flats.

Henny O'Kennedy (Hartbeespoort, 2020-07-26)

#179

I am a property owner. The infra structure of Marloth Park can not deal with more people. There are already huge water problems.

Werner Bester (Johannesburg, 2020-07-26)

#181

Marloth Park is a wildlife sanctuary and tranquility. No need for additional noise Pollution. We need more places like Marloth Park in this country. Please save our environment for generations to come?

René Van Niekerk (Boksburg, 2020-07-26)

#182

I strongly object to the building of two story buildings across Erven 138 139 124 125 137. We do not want an overpopulated area. You are taking away the natural resources and destroying flora and fauna. NO NO NO NO NO NO

Sharon Ahlschlager (Benoni, 2020-07-27)

#183

I am completely opposed to this kind of development it goes against everything that marloth Park stands for as well as the reasons stipulated above

It's against any environmental rules

Gerhard Neumann (Jhbg, 2020-07-31)

Chris Van Der Westhuizen (South Africa, 2020-08-04)

#193

As a property owner in Marloth Park I object to this planning application. A block of apartments doesn't fit into a bush environment

Derrick Bell (Blessington, 2020-08-10)

#194

I am signing because that there is a power and water sortage in MP and to build dubbel story flat is not a plus for MP but a hurge problem in all ways.
We can not allow it

J J Erasmus (Marloth Park, 2020-08-10)

#196

I dont think that kind of housing should be in marloth. No roads. Less space for the animal's. To mutch people on and on and on can I go

Susanna Knoetze (Mosselbaai , 2020-08-10)

#197

I'm objecting for all of the reasons set out in the petition drafted by Mr. Wakelin and for other reasons too numerous to record in the limited time given by the Municipal Manager for the lodging of objections.
The Municipal Manager and the Local Authority have deliberately given a severely curtailed period for objection, namely four days, the notice having appeared on a tree on 22 July, 2020. The public is given four days within which to object, either by written notice sent to a private bag in Malelane or by hand delivery to the Municipal Manager's office in Malelane. The legislation requires that a period of 30 days be allowed for objection. The Municipal Manager knows full well that it is impossible for any person in the Republic to ensure that a letter or other document addressed to a private bag reaches its destination within four days. In addition the Municipal Manager knows full well that the travel restrictions imposed as a result of Covid 19 make it impossible for anyone outside Mpumalanga to hand deliver an objection in Malelane. Any decision which may be taken on the basis of this notice will be overturned on review by the High Court so the Local Authority may as well start the process anew.

Pierre Ferreira (Johannesburg, 2020-08-10)

#199

Do not need that type of structure in Marloth park
