I am
Signing this petition as cases are increasing day by day and as students we are once who are going to suffer if we land up in college . Though we 1 st years were and are excited about this offline but we also need to keep in mind about our safety! So I prefer ONLINE CLASS over offline class . By class I mean exams

Cases are increasing much faster, and parents aren’t allowing us to go to college.

I really think it is unsafe for me and my family for me to travel to Bangalore at the moment. After exams I will have to return to Kolkata and if by any chance I get infected I will be inflecting my old grandparents too.

The cases in Bangalore or on a constant rise with new variants being found almost every month. It isn't safe to travel to or in the city and how do we know who travels through public transport and who doesn't (they are exposed to the virus more than anyone)? I stay with family members who are below the age of 12 and those who are above the age of 65, would college take the responsibility of their health and safety? Why call so many students for something that can be conducted online, a medium that doesn't pose as a threat to life?

Samhitha Garikaparthi (Bangalore , 2021-03-24)

#847

1 Travelling during ths pandemic so far is big threat, coz daily more than 100passengers travel through public transport, even me and other student also need to travel from there house to the cllg, so it may be threat to the students (I mean even students can get Covid)

2 Diffrent students come to write there exams from different places to write there exams , so this also may increase in spread of Covid

3 in all our family , some families have grand parents in there home ,so if a student is affected coming to cllg to attend the exams ,thn the Covid may spread to the family members.so ths also a threat to family and friends

If a student is affected by Covid on the middle of the exam, she may not able to attend the other subjects, so ths also affect her career and her lyf.

So Considering all ths possibility,I want exams online lyk before so conduct the exams as it was conducted last sem.

My life is more important than my exams!!

I m signing here because of the strongest reason. Each n every person has emotions and family love. For our middle class poeple these two are the main sources to survive. Yes education is important in everyone's life but before that we all should be safe to get it. Corona part 2 is such a dangerous one, it's spreading too very fast and it's not only one who's going to get affected from this but the whole number of people around that one person. So kindly agree this for our all future.

I am signing this petition because we not only risk ourselves but our entire families by staying out. Plus, it's impossible to focus and write while you are barely able to breathe. No one knows they have covid until it's late, and it becomes very late when one by one students and the staff and their entire families get affected. Please make these end sems online, for your safety and our safety as well.

Afra Taskeen (Bangalore, 2021-03-25)

#881

Kindly conduct online exams or atleast have it as an 2nd option due to increase in covid situation in Bangalore . It will be difficult for us to reach home if there's a sudden lockdown. There is high chances of getting exposed to the disease if we travel inter state now

I stay far from college like its 20km from my home and there's no buses to come till college. As I usually travel in metro now metro fare's are more costly and moreover there's no proper bus facility from college. It would be better if its online .

Should we risk to attend college just for exam.If anything happen to students will the college take responsibility and the hospital bills. If yes then i am ready to attend college for exam

I'm living in jharkhand which is very far from there and staying in flat which take almost half an hour to reach college by public transport. It is very hard to travel in this kind of situation by public transport and if I try to use some safe means of transport it will be very expensive as a student.

Shalini Kujur (Jharkhand, 2021-03-30)

#947

I'm signing this because not all of us live in Bangalore and leaving hometowns at a time like this is very difficult. Even coming to our pgs and hostels to a big mess and shifting will be tough. Many people have lost their places to stay(pgs) during this lockdown. And pg hunting just before an important exam is near impossible. Even affording hotels or motels for one month's exam isn't financially possible for anyone at this point. Along with the risk of corona there are many other factors that need to be looked at. That's why this is a request to have the exams online because cases are also rising and there's a new strain of virus that has also emerged.

Andrea Watkins (Jamshedpur, 2021-03-30)

#948

It's too risky for us. Especially because we need to stay in pg. We need to depend on outside food. Cases are increasing day by day, leading to danger!
