We need to keep the area accessible to seniors and disabled who can’t walk that far and are just as entitled as the home owners to enjoy the view.
This entitlement of the monied needs to come to an end!!

keep it accessible to cars especially with people who have mobility issues.

Sometimes in bad weather I sit in my car and enjoy the ocean.

I’m signing because i feel that all should have access to the road.(disabled, seniors, whomever). I’ve walked my dog there for years. There is plenty of room for pedestrians and vehicles.

I drive down there and park sit at picnic tables with friends and have coffee with friends. Some seniors can’t walk far so nice to drive to watch waves seals etc.

It is important that those with restricted mobility have vehicle access to the oceanfront. I walk there daily and it is fine as it is. A few privileged home owners should not have private access to increase the value of their homes, and decrease accessibility for the general public. Jeepers!

Because I love going there and park right in front of the ocean 🌊 it’s the only place left in sechelt

I believe that all folks should have access to all the beauty of the land!

Keep it open, the boulevard is for all to enjoy. Including those who cannot walk and sit in a car to enjoy the view.

The gentrification of sweet Sechelt is difficult to see. Sigh!

The Waterfront should be freely enjoyed by all, including those with limited mobility.
The petition to have cars banned from parking along the waterfront is clearly a ploy from waterfront owners who feel entitled to an unobstructed view. The rationalizations provided are extremely weak and fall under the most elementary scrutiny. A possible future incident? I don't see these same people, these same waterfront property owners, petitioning against the immensely dangerous intersections and other infrastructural issues which are far more pressing for our growing town, bursting at the seams.
The waterfront of Sechelt is there to be enjoyed by the public at large in all possible capacities. If you are upset that there are more people on the Coast to enjoy that now, feel free to sell and go live up in a small village in the mountains. Your entitled attitudes are not welcome here.

It’s a beautiful place to relax. Selfish bunch of home owners.

There aren't many accessable areas by the water for people with mobility challenges to enjoy. In over 30 years I've neither experienced nor witnessed any pedestrian / vehicle conflict.

I grew up on that water front.
I love bring my children there, it's been that way for as long as I can remember, it's just fine the way it is.

Because there we end to improve public access to the water front not reduce it. It's bad enough as it is!

I bring my special needs son here to have lunch. We sit in the car and enjoy the view. There is lots of room to walk on the grass side (ocean side) but pedestrians refuse to walk there. I get the road is flat for those with mobility issues, but I believe a side walk on the ocean side would be better.

The walkway is an institution in my opinion. Myself included have memories of that relaxing area.

I’ve been enjoying this special place for over 20 years. We have managed to coexist with vehicles with a little trouble. To let a few spoil our access is not acceptable. There has got to be a way to create walking/wheel chair path.

I have enjoyed access to the waterfront for 30 years or more. Leave the access the ay it is.
