This location checks off the most boxes for individuals like our son who is blind. He deserve to have full access to recreation independently of a guide or driver as do others in our community. This location is adjacent to the all season sidewalk on the memorized route for groceries and errands.

Lisa Farquharson (Dorchester, 2021-10-06)

I am signing this because our son lacked recreation opportunities in Dorchester as a child due to his disabilities. This location best meets his needs.

Gary Farquharson (Dorchester, 2021-10-06)

I believe strongly in this park and in order for tj to be accessible, it’s important to be centra and near a side walk. Plus, I think it would benefit that area of town in other ways (tourism, visual appeal, etc)

I firmly believe in the importance of inclusive parks etc. for communities. Inclusive play environments help kids learn to accept differences and promote diversity and compassion. I live on the border of Thames Centre and London and access many of the Thames Centre Amenities for my self and my grandchildren.

I believe this will help the youths in the village by giving them better opportunities to learn new skills, be more active on newer equipment with the sports and outdoor activities that kids are participating in these days and to have that common outdoor area where this is possible located within the village, would be fantastic for all people considered.

our nephew lives in Dorchester and has multiple disabilities. In a pre-Covid world we would often come to Dorchester to provide respite to his parents or just to spend family time together. There was really nothing to do with him without driving into London. This park would provide us with a resource. We also know the location this petition is for and think it is perfect for his needs.

I know families and children with disabilities in the area who would benefit from this

sam Sutherland (Springfield, 2021-10-08)

#192

Inclusivity is important for all kids. For kids who can't play at a park due to their health conditions, and for kids who are able to but to see how important it is that no child is left behind and every child deserves a safe place to play, use their imagination, be outside and just be a kid.
Many kids have invisible conditions, low motor function is often not seen for many but a normal swing is not an option as they don't have the balance. Only one example of many.
We should be showing our kids from the start that inclusivity is important and necessary for all.

Nikki Fraser (London, 2021-10-08)

#198

This park is an essential addition to our community and this location is spot on. Accessibility is a huge issue for many families trying to utilize outdoor public play spaces. The benefits that an accessible outdoor space would bring in this area are numerous. No child (or caregiver) should be left out of outdoor play, and this inclusive park would allow so many more families to participate in healthy, active play in our community.
