This is a huge issue that must be solved.

James McPhatter (Boyds, 2021-10-18)

For non-residents to not be able to hunt sika deer and waterfowl on the Eastern shore in Maryland.

Danielle Field (Boyds, 2021-10-18)

#4

Because it’s beneficial to the habitat

Rebekah Dill (Poolesville , 2021-10-18)

#5

I strongly agree with this petition. The eastern shore and its public lands are insanely over crowded with out of state hunters that are able to easily enter our woods with no hassle. No background checks are needed for people that could be repeated offenders of poaching, weapon charges, etc.

Jeff Lare (Port republic, 2021-10-18)

#6

It is ridiculous

Fuck You (Sykesville, 2021-10-18)

#9

I want to ensure the long term substantiality of hunting in maryland.

Brian Hutchinson (finksburg, 2021-10-19)

#10

Hunting Sika deer in the state of MD should be a privilege to out of state hunters who flood the woods and leave no chance for in state residents to enjoy the benefit of the resource this state has to offer.

At the rate of popularity increase of hunting these animals the state could benefit from an lottery draw. If out of state people want to hunt this animal. Draw… the state should show its residents some sort of priority over those who don’t live in the state.

Robert Davis (Thurmont , 2021-10-19)

#12

It only makes sense.

Brandon Goodman (Pasadena, 2021-10-19)

#13

I feel that the population of out of state hunters has grown to an unhealthy rate. There is no other state where a non resident can pay a relatively small fee to get 9 tags for a unique species.

Tom Tyler (Vienna, 2021-10-19)

#14

I agree that overcrowding is a problem. Safety is a concern. The sustainability of the wildlife is also a concern.

Brent Compton (Port Tobacco, 2021-10-19)

#15

I believe, the sika deer population is at risk and opportunity is being diminished with the surge of out of state hunters and I believe the best way to preserve our natural resources of MD is to put a limit of out of state hunters able to come utilize our land similar to how all states in the Western United States manage their populations.

Connor Welch (Indian Head , 2021-10-19)

#16

I agree that there should a non resident lottery

Matthew Hasson (Hampstead, 2021-10-19)

#19

I won’t hunt Blackwater anymore because parking lots are full of out of state vehicles.

Karl Brimmer (Centreville, 2021-10-19)

#24

Not only does the sika and waterfowl population suffer, but also the whitetail and Turkey hunting as well.

Jarod Autry (Pasadena, 2021-10-19)

#26

Public lands in Dorchester County are over crowded.

Matthews Kenneth (Church Creek, 2021-10-19)

#27

Because I agree with protecting Maryland resources.

Bradley Lynch (Denton , 2021-10-19)

#28

I am signing because I agree with everything I just read and think Maryland residents should be able to enjoy hunting this state without being pushed out by the large amount of non-residents that I have seen hunting the eastern shore.

erik wicklein (baltimore, 2021-10-19)

#30

We need a lottery system in place for all Maryland wildlife except small game.

Aaron Meredith (Salisbury , 2021-10-19)

#32

It is getting to crowded with put of state hunters. I have to enter a draw to hunt other states so they should have to do the same for MD

Smith Joshua (Darlington, 2021-10-19)

#35

I see way to many non resident vehicles parked at the public parking spots. We should have a system like most other states

William ALBERT (Westminster, 2021-10-19)

#36

Because its my right to sign petitions i agree with.

Andrew David (Gaithersburg, 2021-10-19)

I want to

Tony Gue (Mechanicsville Maryland , 2021-10-19)

#40

I care about the resources on the eastern shore and the safety of all that hunt there.

Joe Wright (Laplata , 2021-10-20)

#41

This needs to happen ASAP !

William Elborn (Crumpton, 2021-10-20)

#43

In the years that I have been hunting on the Eastern shore, I have seen many lease values increase exponentially due to out of state groups driving demand. I have also witnessed many out of state hunters disregard the rules and regulations of the state and overcrowd public hunting areas to the point of compromising the safety of others.

Robert Andrew (Thurmont, 2021-10-20)

#48

There are way too people hunting a limited resource. I don’t feel the population can handle this pressure year after year as it grows in popularity.

Brian Roache (Mechanicsville , 2021-10-22)

#49

There’s too many people out of state.

Coats William (Berlin , 2021-10-22)

#50

Public land is getting overcrowded.

Larry Kessler (Clear Spring , 2021-10-22)

#51

It will increase hunting dollars coming into the state.

Keith Lewis (Monrovia , 2021-10-27)

#52

To stop non resident hunters that will over crowd, and DESTRUCT our public hunting land here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland!!!

Kyle Sadowski (Centreville , 2021-10-28)

#53

I agree there should be a lottery system to reduce out of state hunters , crabbing and fishing in Maryland

Gregory Passwaters (Earleville, 2021-10-28)

#56

I’m signing because I’m in agreement that something needs to be done to reduce the amount of out of state hunters that swarm Maryland’s eastern shore every fall and making it a lot harder for locals that live here to have a chance especially when out of staters are sleeping in there vehicles hours before legal hunting hours. I think a lottery would be a BBBIIIGGG HELP! And I know blackwater national refuge is federal but they to need to do a lottery as well. It would be one thing if the main sika hunting counties being primarily Dorchester followed by wicomico and summorset counties was the size of the whole state but your talking. 3 little counties and again mainly Dorchester where 95% of everyone flocks to. At the rate it’s going now it’ll be so over hunted no thanks to social media , that there won’t be a deer heard left!

Michael O’Brien (Hollywood, 2021-11-14)

#57

👍 it's about time something is done.

John Grizzle sr. (Darlington, 2021-11-14)

#58

I believe that it's time to take back our home land. Lottery system seems the way to go with the non resident hunters.

Tim Mills (Baltimore, 2021-11-24)

#61

My reason for joining the group is, as a kid some off my best memories are off me and my dad and uncle going hunting every year. Now that my kids are old enough to hunt I want to take them so they can learn about and enjoy nature.

Robert Dasch (Frederick , 2021-11-30)

#64

The growing numbers of out of state hunters coming to MD to specifically hunt Sika deer and waterfowl has become overwhelming over the past several years. The population is suffering, as well as their natural habitat.

Travis Hearn (Delmar, 2021-12-14)

#69

We are as resident losing land and a resource we as taxpayers shouldn’t have to .

Glen Jenkins (Goldsboro Md, 2022-10-03)

#73

I agree. Limited resources too much competition.

Paul Wilkerson (Pasadena, 2022-10-23)

#74

It’s right

Robert Wersick (Bowie, 2022-10-23)

#75

This is a great idea

Tyler Baillie (Pasadena , 2022-10-23)

#78

I believe that the crowding of too many hunters impacts the habitat and herd.

Stewart John (Indian Head, 2022-10-23)

#79

The sika deer population on Maryland’s Eastern Shore is pressured heavily due to out of state residents learning about the species through social media and TV. This sika population will not last with the current hunting pressure.

Ryan Oldewurtel (Centreville, 2022-10-23)

#81

To many hunters, not enough deer.

Ian Fisher (Conowingo , 2022-10-23)

To many out of state hunters.tags are filled up by so many non residents

Jason Lowe (FREDERICK, 2022-10-23)

Sean McGraw (Annapolis, 2022-10-23)

#86

Too many hunters in Dorchester county to support a healthy herd of Sika deer.

Curtis Miller (Elkton, Maryland, 2022-10-23)

#87

I believe out of state residents should have lottery tags for any hunting in our state. Same thing when we go to any other state

Michael Robinson (Greensboro, 2022-10-23)

#88

There are not enough resources for all md residents and non residents

Craig Miller (North east md, 2022-10-23)

#90

I have had to leave after showing up at midnight for a spot and still not having a place to park because of out of state hunters.

Adam Jones (Edgewater, 2022-10-23)

#91

I’m a Dorchester co property owner and the deer numbers are suffering due to over hunting

laumann brian (Westminster, 2022-10-23)

#92

I think it will make the public land hunting more sustainable and not as crowded

Alex Clark (Cambridge, 2022-10-23)

#93

The amount of out of state hunters is getting out of control , they have no intent of harvesting mature deer.

Dylan Ransom (Waldorf , 2022-10-23)

#94

Number of hunters is out of control

Elio Spadafora (Fruitland, 2022-10-23)

Samson Matthews (Hurlock , 2022-10-23)
