Because the whole situation is totally unreasonable.

Shon Matthews (North Vancouver , 2021-11-13)

#603

Don’t take away the food truck.

Steve Hathaway (West Vancouver, 2021-11-13)

#604

This place is the absolute bees knees. Best pasta, best people. All in a locally owned food truck.

Yamil Chain-Haddad (Vancouver, 2021-11-13)

#607

I have eaten at this food truck many times. The neighborhood is flourishing because of small businesses like this. We should be encouraging more, not less, small food and beverage businesses as the area is becoming more populated with condo developments.

Chris Van Veen (Vancouver, 2021-11-13)

District of North Vancouver food truck licensing is behind the times. The community In Vacanza Pastificio serves is under serviced for food and beverage options. This food truck helps support other small businesses in the area. It adds to diversity in food service that creates interesting options. With the addition of the new residential towers in the Seylynn area people are looking for alternatives to Tim Horton’s, A&W, Wendy’s. Come on DNV COUNCIL!! show some support for small business and think outside the box….for once.

Bob Putnam (North Vancouver, 2021-11-13)

Why hurt small business??????

Frances Martin (Pierrefonds, 2021-11-13)

#612

Everytime I go visit my son in North Vancouver, I visit this food truck that has amazing fresh food. For a business to say her truck is bothering them when it is in the back alley is disingenuous. Especially when that business is closed when the food truck operates.

Anne Lacourt (Comox, 2021-11-13)

#614

I’m signing because I have seen how much Vacanza Pastificio has done for the community - Serving a taste of Italy and bringing people together. It brings the area alive, welcoming locals and out-of-towners to discover a hidden gem between unsuspecting streets of North Vancouver.

Cecile Kim (Vancouver, 2021-11-13)

#616

I love this pasta truck and it seems insane the reasons they are being evicted. Slight inconvenience? Come on.

Styles Stewart (North Vancouver, 2021-11-13)

#620

This is bureaucracy at its worst and this area is starved for good food options. The DNV needs to make this easy for small businesses to operate.

Kristen Suess (North Vancouver, 2021-11-13)

#621

We need to encourage community and engagement now more than ever. In Vacanza is only bringing a positive impact to their respective area, one which is proving to be a dynamic locale for growth of economy and residence.

Steffanie Fisher (Vancouver, 2021-11-13)

#623

All Food fruck laws in NV need to be amended

Jaime Ayres (North Vancouver, 2021-11-13)

#627

I like spaghetti

Josh MacInnis (North vancouver, 2021-11-14)

#628

I enjoy the food. It's a great place for it. And when I work I like to go get food from it.

Thomas Mcarthur (North Vancouver , 2021-11-14)

#629

Like spaghetti

Nick Baker (Coquitlam, 2021-11-14)

#638

As stated by Ms. MacKenzie the city of North Vancouver needs to review its current food truck permits if she is not allowed to remain parked on a private property. At the very least there needs to be a compromise made by the city and the landlords of the neighbouring business, this is affecting 3 businesses all together!

Felix Roesner (North Vancouver, 2021-11-15)

#641

Best pasta ever.

Joel LaFollette (North Vancouver, 2021-11-15)

#644

This is a great business to have in the community which I live.

Daniel Naesgaard (North Vancouver, 2021-11-15)

#645

We live here and don’t have enough food options in our neighborhood at night!!!

Addie Davies (North Vancouver, 2021-11-15)

#648

LOCAL, LOCAL and LOCAL!

Fiona Macdonald (North Vancouver, 2021-11-15)

#649

In Vacanza Pastifico is a great addition to the neighbourhood and it’s current location makes it easily accessible to the public and 2 other local small businesses that rely on its services. The food is incredible and I couldn’t imagine losing this gem from its current location.

Alex Crone (West Vancouver, 2021-11-15)

#651

I support this business.

Jocelyn Strang (Calgary , 2021-11-16)

#652

I’m signing because I love the food and that it is in such a convenient location, right in between my two favourite distilleries.

Nancy DeVries (North Vancouver , 2021-11-17)

#657

Small businesses should be supported....

Ali Shankaie (north vancouver, 2021-11-17)

#658

I hope you get to keep your location! And good for you for following your dream!

Gen Crail (North Vancouver, 2021-11-17)

#660

There should be more food trucks. If jurisdictions in greater Vancouver are allowing alcohol in public parks, we should be able to buy food from a truck. The proprietor wants to live and work in their own neighborhood. Let’s not talk about are traffic problems.

Galaen Singer (West Vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#663

I'm signing as North Van is our new home and we LOVE and SUPPORT food trucks where we live. They were a lovely way to support local, without worrying about indoor dining. Everyone misses out where red tape slows progress.

Monique Maillard (North Vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#664

The rules around food trucks need to more flexible. Rent is too high for many to start a brick and mortar restaurant. Food trucks are a great alternative that add to the community feel of a neighborhood

Karin Jensen (North Vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#665

I live in the area a visit it monthly there are no there restaurant we can walk to that is not fast food

Brad Mills (North Vancouver, 2021-11-18)

The ideal of any government is to create opportunities for their citizens not find ways to destroy creative and expansive ideals.

Gwen E Dunbar (North Vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#669

Food truck business is a new concept that works for so many communities this is one that would benefit the population nearby in the growing Seymour village area.
Hope this helps
Dolores

Dolores Elliott (North Vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#670

Because their food is amazing .I hired them for my sons wedding in the summer and guests just raves about them . We can’t lose them 😢

Elfie Pavlakovic (North Vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#677

This sounds like a fantastic business. I’d love to see more food trucks in the District. Come over to Parkgate sometimes! There’s always plenty of hungry people leaving Seymour and very few restaurants.

Megan Clendenan (North Vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#681

I would love to see more food trucks like they have in Portland. I love the idea supporting local little businesses people can walk to and walk back home to from.

Janine Sartori (North Vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#683

I’m signing and supporting this because my good friend Anthony is a great cook and he works here!!

Jess Wong (Vancouver , 2021-11-18)

#689

This food truck is amazing. Best pasta I’ve ever had. I eat here multiple times every time I visit. Pls keep it where it is! The location is the best and it’s great to eat and enjoy a drink at the distillery.

Laura Grieve (Whitehorse, 2021-11-18)

#690

I believe in Small Business’ The entrepreneur.

Carmen Smith (N. Vancouver , 2021-11-18)

#698

This place is amazing and we need to support small businesses in DNV!

Stephanie Clare (North Vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#699

I am a resident of the north shore and I work in north Vancouver. I feel like there is a need for businesses like Eryn’s I would love to see more food truck businesses flourish on the nshore.

Lauren Tuftd (West Vancouver , 2021-11-18)

#706

We need more variety and choices. I’m tired of eating kabobs.

Reagan Goulding (North Vancouver , 2021-11-18)

#707

This is a fantastic food truck and a great addition to the distilleries in that area. It needs to stay

Monica Moore (North Vancouver , 2021-11-18)

#708

Save the Vancanza Food Truck!

Doug Wade (North Vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#709

Food trucks are fun, I would like more food trucks. A Food truck corral would be great in that area.

Joanie Mitchell (North Vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#711

I believe that this type of business enhances the neighbourhood they service . Food trucks provide good food, convenience, and brighten up the community!

W Vaisler (West Vancouver , 2021-11-18)

#712

I support local business’ , they should be allowed to stay and make the area a better place. The North Shore needs more great food , and food trucks. Say “yes” to the trucks!

Kim Goulding (North Vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#715

The district needs to look at supporting small businesses in that area as they have no strategic plan for food and entertainment for the hip young tenants that are moving in. They made a mess of lynn valley town Centre so here’s hoping they don’t do the same to lynnmour

Martha Molls (North vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#716

We love lower lynn and want to see it develop into a culture hub of food, art and outdoor activity. Supporting creativity like Vacanza Food is the right thing to do. The concept that was looked at for down by the automall were it was vacant lots to be developed used as opportunity to get start up food trucks off the ground.

Terri Connelly (NORTH Vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#718

Having options for quality food, small business success and spin off business in the area is good for NV. If you decide to create idiotic ideas like traffic lights on highway on ramps, try to get something right this time .

Todd Gillard (North Vancouver , 2021-11-18)

#720

I am so tired of the bureaucracy in the District. You can’t make an honest living anymore. The only thing Mayor Little can think of is how to spend more money on bike lanes that don’t get used.

Jen Ellis (North Vancouver , 2021-11-18)

#721

The district needs to encourage and support small businesses. Food trucks, small restaurants promote community. Important to support entrepeneurs.

sharie loychuk (north vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#727

The ability to walk in your neighbourhood to grab good food and meet your neighbours is what the District must promote. I live just off Queens and all of our neighbours dream of a local place we can walk to and grab a glass of wine and some great pasta but at this point there is nothing. That needs to change. Little community hubs like the one where your food truck is builds community which then builds tolerance and inclusiveness among everyone.

Stephanie Olsen (North Vancouver , 2021-11-18)

#729

I support the creation of a fair and coherent foot truck policy in District of North Vancouver.

Leo Violette (North Vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#730

It's time for the District and City of N.Van to change their thinking. My son in Australia has a food truck and very successful and people love the idea of different foods in one small area.

Cndy Harvey (North Vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#732

I fully support small business in the DNV!!

Melissa Evanson (North Vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#735

I'm a sandal business owner myself and have come up against the difficulties of city zoning bylaws. I'm for city bylaws to be gutted and revamped to be more inclusive of small businesses and the unique needs and hurdles we face!

Lynne Laporte (Vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#736

It's the right thing to do.

Lorne Henry Poole (North Vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#741

Supporting small businesses

Perla Suerte (North Vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#742

Businesses like these will shape Lynn Creek Town Centre. Let them stay!

Kristina Andrzejczuk (North Vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#748

The neighbourhood needs more, not less, of this type of innovative, community-minded (to say nothing of delicious) business! Time to get creative, DNV.

Laura Maclean (North Vancouver, 2021-11-18)

#749

I'm signing because fostering small local businesses is important to me

Leslye Brown (North Vancouver , 2021-11-18)

#750

This is a viable business, making customers happy with good food. There are not a lot of places in that neighbourhood serving food. This is a growing area of the district.

Jill Embley (NORTH VANCOUVER, 2021-11-19)

#755

The city and district have to get up to speed with these licenses. Food trucks are brilliant way to offer different dining options to residents and businesses. Supporting local entrepreneurs that are trying to earn a living in a unique and exciting way.

Meredith Holmes (North Vancouver, 2021-11-19)

#757

We need vibrant communities with a diverse and complementary set of businesses to help support their growth.

Carrie McLay (North Vancouver, 2021-11-19)

#758

Want more food trucks in NVD. And thus one does seem to be beneficial.

Steven Breakingbury (North Vancouver, 2021-11-19)

#766

I am a strong believer that this food truck service is well needed within the district of North Vancouver.

Rebecca Sxott (Vancouver, 2021-11-19)

#769

There Must be more flexibility as lease spaces are so expensive. Other municipalities welcome food trucks.

Karen Nitzek (West Vancouver, 2021-11-20)

#773

It is crazy that my home district of North Van allows towers to be built without providing for non driving restaurant options.

Tim Brown (North vancouver, 2021-11-20)

#775

I would like to see more food trucks in North Vancouver, especially in newly developed neighbourhoods which are under supplied by local restaurants.

Sue Chalmers (NNorth Vanciouver, 2021-11-21)

#776

The North SHore needs Food Trucks and a variety of entertainment! Let them stay!!

Sandra Orton Tweed (North Vancouver, 2021-11-21)

#778

Businesses should be given every opportunity to prosper.

Andrew Fitzgerald (North Vancouver, 2021-11-21)

#780

We should be supporting local businesses. Not forcing them to another city!

Renee Nielly (North Vancouver , 2021-11-21)

#789

I'm signing this petition because I support small business. There are so many great craft breweries in North Van, and most of the time, our decision about where to spend our $$ includes "which ones offer food?" Would be great to have food trucks at each of them. We'd be able to spread our $$$ around North Van a lot more.

Nancy Draper (North Vancouver, 2021-11-22)

#791

Food trucks are an integral part of the community. Keep them on the streets! Maybe relocate of all the people living in their campers on the streets instead!

Lana Dionne (West vancouver, 2021-11-24)

#793

I believe in having community based small businesses. I think the fun and promotion of Truck Foods brings to a neighbourhood, a source of character and diversity. What fun it is to walk by or drive by and make the snap decision to buy a meal and take it home or sit in the nearby park on our beautiful days! With all the new development, we need these sort of happenings to promote a sense of having neighbours. Meeting at the Food trucks, what a romantic idea, who knows how many romances may develop!!

Sandra Miller (North Vancouver, 2021-11-25)

#797

Fantastic food

Andrew Castro (North Vancouver , 2021-11-26)

#799

The District’s policies on food trucks are completely archaic and require a total overhaul to bring them into the 21st century. In Vacanza Pastifico should be allowed to stay where they are and to flourish!
