I oppose these apartments! We do not need anymore Pepper Tree apartments in Whitehaven with a lot of crime happening every day. Its embarrassing to the Whitehaven community to watch the news and see what's going on with that despicable rundown place.. You haven't shut down the Pepper Tree with all that crime, so why start another crime infested living area? Do the right thing and don't make this happen!

Sheila McDuffie (memphis, 2021-12-07)

#203

We don’t need this type of living in Whitehaven. There’s already too much crime.

Tara Woodley (Memphis, 2021-12-07)

#205

We don’t need anything else to negatively impact the Whitehaven community.

Eboni G (Memphis , 2021-12-07)

#207

There are already too many apartments in Whitehaven. I'm a homeowner and my husband and I are working diligently to keep the neighborhood up.

Dorothy Morgan (Memphis, 2021-12-07)

#211

We don’t want them to be apartment

Bertrand Dorsey (Memphis , 2021-12-07)

#213

Apartments will lower values of existing homes & allow depreciation of surrounding area.

Kenneth Lee (Memphis, 2021-12-07)

#214

To ensure that the majority of middle-class residents remain comfortable within existing community stabilization.

Cheryl Ballard (Memphis, 2021-12-07)

#221

There’s too much crime around here as it is and there’s no reason why any out of town companies should be allowed to buy or do anything here when they don’t have to see it or deal with drama that goes on. It’s bad enough already that other companies from other states already own or buying properties here and neglect the responsibility for up keeps and crime that’s already happening around to properties all because they don’t have to see it nor deal with it why because they’re in a whole other state where they feel safe

Leon Loveberry (Memphis , 2021-12-07)

#224

We dont want this crap in our neighborhood

Mike Meadows (Memphis , 2021-12-07)

#227

I oppose this rezoning for monthly apartment use. This is a business area and should stay that way. Having monthly apartment rentals will allow anybody, mostly undesirable people, to rent with no liability to the apartment or neighborhood area.

Shirley Jack (Memphis, 2021-12-07)

#228

We do not need this in our area, tourist are here all the time and this is not making WHITEHAVEN a good look for GRACELAND or our community. I think also it devalues our community.

Warine Crawford (Memphis, 2021-12-07)

#230

Because this type of housing devalues the Whitehaven community.

Artis Sanders (Memphis, 2021-12-07)

#233

This will not be an positive addition to the Whitehaven area

Tammy Snyder (Memphis , 2021-12-07)

#234

I live in Whitehaven not far from this site and I agree totally with Michael Harris’ sentiments. We need market rate housing, but moreso we need dining, retail, and lodging options to better serve our tourists. This proposed project fulfills neither of these needs.

Tanya Dawson (Memphis , 2021-12-07)

#236

I want Whitehaven to be a safe place to live.

Bessie Landfair (Memphis , 2021-12-07)

#237

Signing because this kind of apartment will be another Pepper Tree. Whitehaven needs something positive. Being near Graceland will be bad news. Also, this is a very bad decision.

Sallie Johnson (Memphis , 2021-12-07)

#239

This will only bring unwanted traffic and possible crime to this area, which is a high-traffic tourist area!

Catherine Lewis (Memphis, 2021-12-07)

#249

This hotel is a public nuisance filled with drug trafficking and prostitution. We do not need that kind of traffic nowhere in Memphis. Especially on Elvis Presley

Robert Davis (Memphis , 2021-12-07)

#250

I believe in this cause

Wanda woodruff (Memphis, 2021-12-07)

Helen B. Boyd (Memphis , 2021-12-07)

#259

It's a bad idea.

Farestine Smith (MEMPHIS, 2021-12-07)

#264

Oppose the housing of this sort. 137 apt. month to month will generate a huge amount off foot traffic and bring in more cases of theft and more severe crimes. It will be another infestation of crimes in the Whitehaven area on a main popular street' Elvis Presley Blvd.

Ed Jones (Memphis, 2021-12-07)

#265

The Whithaven Community is working hard
to improvement the area. This type of residential change is not a good idea.

Telise Turner (Memphis, 2021-12-07)

#269

We need growth in the historic community.

NaSchenell Robinson (Memphis, 2021-12-07)

#275

Im against the the remaking of Red Roof Inn into low-income housing....IT IS NOT NEEDED IN WHITEHAVEN...there is already plenty of low-income apartmemts in Whitehaven....this will pull Whitehaven backgrounds after decades of booming business that have left either to Mississippi or further east in Memphis...Whitehaven is trying to capture the businesses, i.e. shopping/ eating recreational that made Whitehaven, "The Capital of South Memohi"

Christopher Marshall (Memohis, 2021-12-07)

#287

We to upgrade whiteha ve not bring in more crime.

Delores Harley (Memphis, 2021-12-08)

This project is inconsistent with the plans that have been forth by the citizens of Whitehaven.

Christopher Davis (Memphis , 2021-12-08)

#296

I disagree with building these apartments

Curtis Leaks (Memphis, 2021-12-08)

#311

This project would not enhance our community, but would have an overall negative impact.

Wendell Donelson (Memphis , 2021-12-09)

#315

I strongly disagree with this proposal as it will negatively impact the community. There is no enhancement this proposal will produce to the community.

Vivian Donelson (Memphis, 2021-12-10)

#316

I live in Whitehaven and there are enough low income crime ridden apartments here. If something is to be put there, let it be a more positive enterprises which would be quite welcome.

Rita Price (Memphis, 2021-12-10)

#318

I’m signing because there are more economical ways to provide affordable housing and to discourage temporary housing that may lead to a public nuisance.

Angelique Gray (Memphis, 2021-12-10)

#321

Because I care about the Whitehaven neighborhood. That apartment complex is not what we need.

Natalie Brown (Memphis, 2021-12-10)

#323

We have a serous problem with crime infested low income property’s,like Pepper Tree appt.Don’t need anymore on the main entry to whitehaven, can’t control crime once it’s started.lived in Whitehaven for 71 years, this would lower home values in a middle class community

Lafayette Young (Memphis, 2021-12-11)

#325

I want to make the area of interest better not worse.

Tonia Tiller (Memphis, 2021-12-11)

#332

I have lived in the Whitehaven area since 1978 and have seen a lot changes to the community. We are trying to rebuild our community and this type of housing will not benefit the community. Instead it will hurt the progress.

Alice Payne (Memphis , 2021-12-13)

#338

I’m signing this petition to preserve the integrity of our neighborhood

Chanda Donald (Memphis, 2021-12-17)

#341

This project will not add any value to our area!!

Logan Jackson (Memphis , 2021-12-17)

#342

We don’t need crime to increase. We need better housing solutions.

Sandra Smith (Memphis , 2021-12-18)

#346

I'm signing because the Whitehaven community needs to be able to have a safe community. These apartments would leave open the door to activities that are undesirable.

Carrie Harris (Collierville, 2021-12-22)

#356

Converting this to apartments without credit checks will increase crime in the area.

Carlise Mathews (Memphis, 2021-12-23)

To protect the neighborhood

Tish Towns (Memphis, 2021-12-24)

#366

I’m signing because I believe this will increase the crime rate in the areas.

Erika Williams (Memphis , 2021-12-24)

#367

Whitehaven is a great place to live. Projects should be of value when added to the community.

Inez Siggers (Memphis, 2021-12-24)

#368

To preserve the integrity of Elvis Presley Boulevard, the only road to our city's great tourism venues. These monthly rental apartments DO NOT require a credit check. As a result they WILL PROMOTE crimes of opportunity and contribute to overall community decline and disinvestment.

Lori Evans (Cordova, 2021-12-24)

#375

We don't need anything like this by the Welcon Center. Why would you allow that to happen take this mess to germantown some where else

Joyce Kiner-Davis (Memphis, 2021-12-27)

#381

I have 2 homes in this area and oppose this change as it will bring the wrong element to the area. The Whitehaven area should be preserved at all cost. More attention should be given to one of the most toured areas in our city!

Derichia Wells (Memphis, 2021-12-27)

#385

I believe that this proposed project would have significant negative effects to the community/area.

#390

My family live in Whitehaven area, and they do not need any other nuisances

Marilyn Coleman (Bartlett , 2021-12-29)

#396

Said proposal to rezoning of the Red Roof Inn will negatively affect the community, devalue homes and businesses, provide opportunities for covert behavior, and potentially devalue homes.

Teri Evans (Memphis, 2021-12-31)
