CRD Volunteer Firefighter Vaccine Mandate

Our community depends on our volunteers. Forcing volunteer fire and rescue personnel to be vaccinated is a violation of human rights, and will have a negative outcome on volunteers that are greatly needed in our communities.

Andrew Spreng (Williams Lake, 2021-12-10)

We need our volunteers. There’s already not enough

Kat Sheppard (150 Mile House, 2021-12-11)

#7

I believe in freedom of choice not Commie Bonnys choice.

Wesley Oviatt (Williams Lake, 2021-12-11)

#9

Vaccination should be each individual's choice.

Marie-Anne Quigley (150 Mile House, 2021-12-12)

#10

Absolutely no one should be forced under any circumstance to get a vaccination.

Christina Anderson (150 mile house , 2021-12-14)

#12

This is nothing short of totalitarianism and pure evil. Even communist Poland didn't threaten to take citizens' jobs away. Next is the gulags for dissenters.

Adam Plasun (Williams Lake, 2021-12-15)

#13

All vaxxed and unvaxxed should be deeply concerned about this. The shortage of emergency service workers may one day endanger your life

Kelly Plasun (Williams Lake, 2021-12-15)

#15

It's not right. Freedom. Vaccines don't work.

Kim LaBreche (White Rock , 2021-12-15)

#16

My late husband was a volunteer FF in Surrey, BC for a very long time until we moved to Okanagan. Being vaxxed means nothing when helping to save lives.

Grace James (Kamloops , 2021-12-15)

#20

i don’t believe in this bs

erwin doebeli (anglemont, 2021-12-17)

#21

This mandate will result in a shortage of fire department members, which puts everyone’s homes at risk.

Laura Dean (150 Mile House , 2021-12-22)

#23

Every person has the right to chose what goes into their body. Any workplace choosing to make a mandate will be facing legal action.

Christina Chaston (Williams lake, 2021-12-22)

#29

I do not in anyway support vaccine mandates or passports.

Rebecca Johnson (100 Mile House, 2022-01-02)

#30

I believe getting vaccinated is a choice and I believe in the Canadian constitution .
The mandate is illigal and illogical

allan Stead (Williams lake, 2022-01-03)

I am a Firefighter for 150milehouse. I have been Volunteering since the wildfires in 2017. It is unethical to be forced into taking a Experimental drug, with no consequences for the people who forcing us to take it. The CRD should be ashamed and held accountable for the Bullying and Cohersion they are doing.

Brian Getson (150mile house , 2022-01-04)

#36

I believe that the mandates are useless and an unjust action towards the people of BC and Canada.

Nigel Mckimm (150 Mile House, 2022-01-04)

#38

what the Govt's is doing is wrong

allan willis (Forest Grove BC, 2022-01-05)

#40

I do not believe the mandate is necessary.

Elger Krahn (Lone butte, 2022-01-06)

#41

We should be given medical freedom to decide what is right for us, not coerced into doing it.
I'm signing because I would like to return back to CCSAR as a leader within that team. I was a highly trained Highway Rescue Captain and Ground Search Team Leader up until the vaccine was mandated. I hate to see the CRD lose out on dedicated professionals with thousands of accumulated volunteer hours, giving back to communities we want to serve.

Ryan Laukkanen (Williams Lake, 2022-01-07)

#42

Emergency services are a needed essential, regardless if volunteers are vaccinated… individuals lives could be at stake due to a lack of vaccinated resources

Rebecca Zonruiter (108 Mile Ranch, 2022-01-07)

#43

Vaccine mandates are wrong. No question about it.

Shania Smuk (Nanaimo , 2022-01-08)

#45

This vaccine should not be mandatory as it causes bodily injury

Louise Brekke (Princeton, 2022-01-08)

#48

It’s over reach and a violation of basic human rights

David Olsen (Elkford, 2022-01-08)

#54

I am signing this petition because everyone should be given a choice to receive any vaccine.

Tasheena Peters (West Kelowna, 2022-01-08)

#57

Vaccine mandates are wrong and everyone should be free to make their own decision. Also more and more people are having adverse reactions or dying as well as still contracting covid. The vaccine doesn’t provide any protection and is doing more harm then good.

Sean Robertson (Mission, 2022-01-08)

We spend time in this area and have family here. No person should be forced to be subjected to any treatment or medication. They have the right to informed consent. What is being mandated has no bearing on an individual’s ability to perform their job or duty. Remove the mandate to truly protect the public.

Lori Nelson (Surrey, 2022-01-08)

#59

No one should be forced or bullied into making their decision to get vaccinated or not. It's a personal choice and our rights to our own body.

Su Luz (Burnaby , 2022-01-08)

This is a life safety matter. I also live in a small town that relies on volunteers and while these unlawful unconstitutional mandates should not be imposed on anyone it is essential we do not loose even 1 essential worker in these small communities.

Just so we are clear, transmission occurs across fully inoculated individuals as indicated by the latest case counts.
As such the merit of any mandate for anyone no longer remains valid or appropriate.

Laurelin Svisdahl (Telkwa, 2022-01-08)

#62

No one should be forced to take any vaccine!

Sandra Harpur (70 mile house, 2022-01-08)

#63

Enough is enough.

Amanda Ford (Kelowna, 2022-01-08)

Firefighters volunteer thousands of hours, train to the point of exhaustion, and place themselves in harms way to help others and their community. They do all of this to be there when people are experiencing some of the worst moments of their lives. Our first responders pull themselves out of bed in the middle of the night, leave their jobs during the day, and miss dinners and events.
First responders are there when we need them, and now it is time for us to be there for them.
NO to mandatory vaccinations, especially for our hard-working volunteers.
Autonomy, or the freedom to choose is a pillar of biomedical ethics and coercion in any form negates the concept of informed consent. Practitioners administering vaccines under such conditions are failing their patients.

Charlene V (Prince george, 2022-01-08)

As an active member of a volunteer fire dept I know first hand that no one cares about your passport status if your putting their house out. These mandates will put communities at risk by depleting the manpower of departments in smaller centers

Brad Painter (Clinton , 2022-01-08)

#68

At this point a vaccine mandate has zero scientific support.

Spencer Hoehn (Vancouver , 2022-01-08)

#72

I recently moved from the crd. And I believe in choice.

Jon Roberts (Vernon , 2022-01-08)

#76

I believe people have a choice what to stick in their body. We have a right to our own body. This injection as far as I am concerned is like torturing a hostage. Thisis wrong. Plain and simple.

Jennifer Hunt (Penticton , 2022-01-08)

#81

Forced vaccination is immoral and government over reach.

Tim Mononen (Chilliwack, 2022-01-09)

#82

I’m signing because I don’t believe that the vaccine mandate should be in place. There is no reason for there to be a vaccine mandate when there is no proof that it is necessary or that it will change the numbers of covid cases.

Gracie Hanson (Quesnel , 2022-01-09)

#85

I was forced out of my career with the RCMP over the vaccine mandate.

I will stand and support anyones personal medical choice.

Curtis Taylor (Prince George, 2022-01-09)

All of our first responders, fire fighters are volunteer.. ALL halls are suffering and putting lives and property at risk because of a ineffective vax , mandate. I feel for the CRD volunteer and community, we are in the same situation here. Some halls lost 7 people out of 10...😕

Jaax Eden (Salmon arm, 2022-01-09)

Vaccinations shouldn't matter!!
Why do I care what their status is. They're there to help me.
