University of Michigan COVID-19 Booster Mandate

No one should be forced to take a vaccine that requires a person to go against their beliefs and religions

I’m signing because, even though I have parted ways with the university, I believe those working and attending the university should have the freedom to choose what is appropriate and best for their health. The original mandate was an overreach and those attending/working for your institution should not be forced to continually inject themselves with something they do not agree or feel comfortable with.

I'm signing because if mandates continue, despite the obvious number of vaccinated people with covid, I sadly have full intentions of walking away from the medical field after 20 years as a nurse. This is extreme and dangerous. The side effects from this vaccine have been ignored and swept under rugs. This is not the world I want to live in. I worked with covid patients for almost 2 straight years and was thanked by many. Now, I will be fired for not injecting a not only dangerous but grossly ineffective formula into my body. This is a pure shame and I'm disgusted by the greed, lies and discriminating behaviors displayed by Michigan Medicine. I have been very proud to work for this employer but sadly I'm only embarrassed at this point. The best of the best is not willing to recognize the obvious data and is following the dishonest controlling narrative. Michigan Medicine has the power to be a leader and to stand up for not only the employees but the freedom we all love in the United States of America! Pathetic way to use your enormous platform. Please wake up!

I truly believe that it is a person's choice to decide if one wants to put any kind of medication in their body and not be forced to do it. In our constitution we have many freedoms....this should be respected and adhered to...thank you!

I have several family members who work for UofM. I know of many friends whose friends have had heart issues in the past several months due to this incredibly dangerous shot. The latest story was a 15 yr old girl who is now blacking out for minutes at a time up to a dozen times a day. No previous issue prior to vaccination. This criminal behavior has got to stop!

Choice of medical treatment should be based on an individual's health history under the care of one's physician, not forced under anti-American mandates.

My child has the God given right to choose what is best for her health and safety. Nobody should be forced to put a substance in their body against their will as a requirement to get an education.

I feel it’s unconstititional

I’m singling this letter because what you are doing to students is wrong. Especially, considering the dangerous side effects of the vaccine. Many young people are having blood clots and heart issues after being vaccinated.

You have no authority to mandate an experimental vaccine. I’m ashamed to be an alumni of U OF M. I beg you to stop this deadly policy immediately.

Should be a choice of what is administered in your body. Should not be mandated.

My husband is an employee who has had the vaccine and COVID which CDC has now proven has better antibodies than this booster you forced him to get so that he wouldn't lose his job. The SCIENCE and DATA and PERSONAL health of the individual is not being taken into account by a university who supposedly stands for the individual patient's best outcome. You have proven this NOT to be so. So disappointed in this healthcare system and university. My husband has been put at risk by this booster needlessly.

Any medication administered should be my choice whether I want to take it or not, it should not be governments or any other agency telling me.

Daniel Anderson (Whitmore Lake, 2022-02-02)

I believe the booster should not be mandated. Every person should have the right to choose the best medical choice for themselves not the employer!

Your ok with breaking law?
What your doing is unethical and breaks federal law. your council is not very good. Oh that's right their selling out to this agenda but that's falling apart. They go with the money right now it's with you & covid non sense but we are stacking evidence and wins. This ship is going down hard. If you wish to go with it by all means. Your prosecution will be pursued. You are noted in this crime against humanity.

Adverse health effects for low risk students can be devastating. Further long term research needs to be done.

Religious exemptions need be sacrosanct

It is unconstitutional to even mandate a shot. Let alone a booster!

My niece attends UofM and does not agree with the COVID-19 Booster Mandate. She has already paid her tuition and housing costs. She should not be removed from this institution because of this unfair and unscientific policy.

There is overwhelming evidence that these shots are not safe. So not ask anymore, pull their bonds.

I don’t believe a school has the right to force medical procedures on their students. Especially one that is found to be harmful to young men. It is experimental and cannot be a requirement for education. UM is very wrong to encourage students to take a drug that is potentially dangerous.

Dena Giancotti (Troy, 2022-02-22)

The vaccines don't work. We don't know the possible LONG term effects. Many students already had covid. At this point, unless ones personal doctor recommends the shot for a someone - they should NOT take it.
