The block of flats on a beachfront change the face of Melkbos and looks horrible please go build in tableview

Arthur Turner (Melkbos , 2022-08-07)

#203

I want melkbos to retain their village status with caring residents, not to become a noisy, impersonal beach resort

Christelle Le roux (Pretoria, 2022-08-07)

#205

I live in Melkbos and love the character of our town and beach.

Dirk Jonker (Cape Town , 2022-08-07)

#210

No to such commercial buildings in our little dorpie. Sewrage a huge problem currently in Melkbos which needs to be address first.

Fritz Labuschagne (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-08)

#211

I don't want melkbosstrand to be ruined any further. Too much traffic and people. Sewerage is already a problem. Building is too big etc etc.

Judith Van lear (Cape Town , 2022-08-08)

#213

This development is extravagant, and unfair to the neighbourhood of simple housing. I an area where developing of housing for 2 people in an apartment adjacent to a house is prohibited, due to nuclear laws, surely this development is unthinkable. The effect of this huge development on underground water and the beach will be extreme, as we had learnt from Eden.

Albert Maritz (CAPE TOWN, 2022-08-08)

#217

I love our small village

Chantel Groenewald (Western cape, 2022-08-08)

#221

There should be no more development taking place in Melkbos especially if it does not comply with the safety regulations.

Sharon Walsh (Cape Town, 2022-08-08)

#222

Melkbosstrand building regulations Erf 326/327

Suzi Staines (Cape Town, 2022-08-08)

#228

I’m signing against the development getting the go-ahead until all the necessary concerns mentioned have been adequately addressed and resolved. The sewage issue is a huge problem and needs to be sorted asap. I also feel that nothing more than a double storey structure should be permitted in Beach Road.

Janine Burch (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-08)

#230

I don't want this complex in melkbos. The area where it's supposed to go up has very bad plumbing

Claire Reid (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-08)

#234

I'm am opposed to this development as the height and density of the development as well as the issues raised in the petition are unacceptable for this area

Derek Anderson (Cape Town, 2022-08-08)

#236

My kids surf there.

Moniek De rooy (Cape town, 2022-08-08)

#238

I want existing laws to be adhered to, for proper, legal, (environmental and otherwise) procedures to be followed and also for Melkbos to retain its "small, village feeling"

Beverley Fraser (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-08)

#240

I agree that this building will bring in more crime and disaster to this beautiful coastal town.

Mandy Rocher (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-08)

#241

I do not want my home town to become like Bliyberg

Angie Shamley (Cape Town, 2022-08-08)

#243

I don't want melkbos to become an overly populated area like blaauwberg and surrounds. Also, the sewerage is a major concern for me. The invironmental impact we have is so important.

Vicki Bedeman (Johannesburg, 2022-08-08)

#244

The infrastructure cannot be overloaded anymore

Driaan Louw (Cape Town, 2022-08-08)

#251

I dont want the village beachfront changed

Petro Addinall (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-08)

#253

The development not in line with the ethos and culture of the town and will put additional pressure on the already failing sewerage and water infrastructure of the town

Oloff Dreyer (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-08)

#254

Our little town cannot handle this kind of infrastructure. Nothing caters for it. Except the developer making huge money. Never mind the devastation after.

Rene Leach (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-08)

#263

I support all the reasons already mentioned

Isabel van Deventer (Melkbosstrand, Cape Town, 2022-08-08)

#265

We do not need another shopping centre in Melkbos

Tracy Kahn (Cape Town, 2022-08-08)

#270

The shopping area at Birkenhead and in 6th Avenue is more than sufficient for the town.
The height limitations on the beachfront of Melkbos should be maintained, and not be allowed to change the character of the area.
Parking is already a challenge on the beachfront, so this will not work

Leon Reinke (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-08)

#272

Although i am not against development in Melkbos, i am against the level of density planned there and planned for the 1st Ave development.

Jakes Redelinghuys (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-08)

#273

I am very concerned about the sewerage issue. Until that is 100% resolved we can't even think about developing.

Haley Baguley (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-08)

#276

Something must be done to protect Melkbos from problems.

Shamayah Sarrucco (Cape Town, 2022-08-08)

#278

It is against koeberg regulation for safety. It does not hold the requirements, theres a sewage problem in that area, parking will not be enough and it will ruin our little town

Natacha dickens (Mellbosstrand, 2022-08-08)

#279

I am against buildings that do not adhere to the rules and general feel of mekbos

Gerrit Myburgh (Melkbosstrand, Cape tiwn, 2022-08-08)

#280

This development does not fit in with Melkbos beach front. It’s going to ruin the town as it will trigger overdevelopment. And what about Koeberg power station as well as aiding to the sewage problem we already have.

Roger Tipping (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-08)

#281

My family and I have been Melkbos residents for over 15 years. We have seen a lot of development since we first moved here (MyCiti bus station, Melkbos high, the intersection on the R27 and N7, Atlantic Beach Hotel/ Belon Bar & Restaurant etc.), some of these have improved Melkbos as well as the publicity/ 'tourism' for/in Melkbos. As a Melkbosstrander (and I feel I speak for multiple Melkbosstranders by saying this) there has been enough development and publicity. We love our Melkbossie. We love the country/ weskus serenity that Melkbos typically has out of peak season. Although it is good for the economy, we do not enjoy the vast amounts of 'tourists' during peak season in the recent years (namely Christmas time). We most certainly do not enjoy the mess they leave behind when they leave... Building this block of flats will NOT be good for Melkbos. Besides the reasons already named in the petition, all Melkbossers know that in winter time, the sea levels rise considerably and the waves wash over onto the road almost every year. If there is only parking for 20 residents and the complex houses 30 residents, that means the other 10 residents will have to park their vehicles in the beach parking area across the complex (also a detestable idea). Their vehicles will get ruined. If the sea does rise and the waves hit the houses (which it has before) the parking area could be flooded and the sea water may even damage the building. Please, respect the peace and solitude of Melkbos and respect the decision of its residents. We DO NOT want this development. We DO NOT want to be the next Bloubergstrand. Thank you.

Mikayla Edgar (Cape Town, 2022-08-08)

#282

Overcrowding, parking issues, sewerage issues - dont spoil what is left of a clean beach.

Dominic Marsburg (Melkbos , 2022-08-08)

#287

This development will further destroy the character of Melkbosstrand. This town does NOT want to look like Tableview or the Strand. Furthermore, evacuation is already a problem (Koeberg), as well as over- burdening of the infrastructure, especially water and sewerage as well as problems with parking etc., this development is not a good idea!

Johann Crafford (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-08)

#291

I want this development to stop

Tertia Linde (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-08)

#292

Will ruin our small village town, it will ruin the beach road appeal

Verity Carstens (Cape Town, 2022-08-08)

#293

Stop development in Melkbos

Nicola O’Connell (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-08)

#294

I live in the area in Bloubergstrand where this tipe of developing has ruined our beaches

Aria Dunne (Bloubergstrand , 2022-08-08)

#296

Buildind too high and do not fit in with the style of the Town.
Only resedential , no Shops, too much traffic and noise. Does not fit to the tradiional old part of Melkbos. Will spoil the relaxed atmosphere of old Melkbos.

Susanna Mittendorfer (Laakirchen, 2022-08-08)

#300

Of exceeding height restrictions as well as added traffic in our village which is already struggling with the increased traffic.

Juanita Kuhlhoff (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-08)

#303

I’m signing because Melkbos is a unique town that doesn’t need high rise buildings to infiltrate it and destroy its authentic feel.

Aden Kleve (Cape Town , 2022-08-08)

#304

I live in melkbos. If one of these pop up then more will come.

Benjamin Van Der westhuizen (Cape Town , 2022-08-08)

#308

This is not Miami, it's a small coastal village.

Lourens Henning (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-08)

#314

Melkbosstrand infrastructure cannot accommodate such a development - sewage, parking. Increasing height restrictions is to the detriment of the neighbouring houses. This would be the start of the end of village environment of Melkbosstrand

Kerry Bethel (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-08)

#318

I live 2 blocks away and the issues envisioned will cause many problems

Smit Lorraine (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-08)

Im signing because i live here and agree with all the valid points made

MS Van Reenen (Cape Town, 2022-08-08)

Mark Simon (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-08)

#352

I live in the area.

Charmaine Adamson (Cape town, 2022-08-08)

#355

I'm signing this partition because I'm part of this wonderful community and my love for the ocean. I'd hate for human ego to ruin the beatiful little town.

Tristan Classen (Cape Town, 2022-08-08)

#356

Cct does not take the neighbours in consideration, because they see a greater return in taxes and income out of this development.
The concerns of the existing neighbours are therefore of lessor value for Cct. They are therefore ignoring the existing ratepayers complaints as well as the existing building-regulations !!!!!
The developer is only in to make a quick profit and then will seek a other new opportunity!
On a positive way, this makes way for us all to ignore the building-regulations🤔

Phil Stoffberg (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-08)

#362

Keep Melkbosstrand unique. To high. Ruins Melkbosstrand.

Kelvyn Els (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-08)

#365

It’s a problem that needs to be fixed

Christopher Van niekerk (Cape Town , 2022-08-08)

#368

I'm signing because future developments need to be sensitively approached and its especially important to retain the village feel of Melkbosstrand as well as ensuring there is sufficient infrastructure to support new builds.

Paige Kandlin (Cape Town, 2022-08-08)

#371

I just moved to Cape Town to live a better life, and seeing that this could affect Koeberg and many other negative things and the people living here I have chosen to sign.

Amber Olivier (Cape Town , 2022-08-08)

#375

I believe that building is completely inappropriate for the location.

Pat Mayers (Cape Town, 2022-08-08)

#378

Melkbos is such a lovely authentic village - let’s keep it that way!

Paul Martijn (Cape Town, 2022-08-08)

#379

this proposed plan does not fit the limitations established by Koeberg Nuclear Plant and will place excessive strain on our already overworked infrastructure

Sue Robb (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-08)

#380

for all the reasons listed in the petition

Heather Tessendorf (CAPE TOWN, 2022-08-08)

#381

I want Melkbos to be a safe clean space for our children

Martha Myburgh (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-08)

#389

This development is not suitable for melkbosstrand beach front. Not sure how it's even possible as Koeberg would not allow more developments of this size within in evacuation zone

Johan Vorster (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-09)

#391

Besides for traffic, safety etc as mentioned above, this is not what 'our dorpie' needs. This monstrosity is going to take away the peaceful holiday vibe melkbos is known for.

Maritza Norton (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-09)

#396

I have been living here for all my life, traffic is a nightmare as it is.

Annamarie Strydom (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-09)

#397

I live near melkbos (in Morning Star) I do all my shopping in Melkbos and I have a lot of family who live in the town. I agree this new development is not ideal.
