I love a quiet Melkbos

G Elsa Venter (Cape Town, 2022-08-10)

#605

I'm signing because of the problems that will come with developing the area...not enough parking spaces, existing sewage problem, etc.

Linda Murray (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-10)

#606

I'm signing because it is not practical to build such a big building in Melkbos for the capacity of all the people that live in Melkbos already.

Annalene Kruger (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-10)

#608

Strongly against a new multiple storey development in Melkbosstrand. It will impact resources, traffic, security negatively. Also a nuclear plant in the town that will negatively impact an emergency evacuation.

Pieter Jacobs (Melkbos , 2022-08-10)

#611

I'm signing because this would totally destroy the character of Melkbos beachfront and in addition set a precident for other out of charecter developments. No,No,No!!!

Clive Miller (Cape Town, 2022-08-10)

#612

This will not fit in with the tranquil town and family friendly environment of Melkbos

Getda Fourie (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-10)

#614

Developments like this do not enhance Melkbosstrand as a coastal village and are only for the developers greed.

John Rodgers (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-10)

#615

I’m not happy with the idea. Keep Melkbos beautiful

Rose Rodgers (Cape Town, 2022-08-10)

#616

I want Melkbosstrand to stay unique

Chantél Roetz (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-10)

#617

I frequently visit Melkbos and just love the little town….so sad that money takes over and destroys what comes in the way

Helen Kriel (Port Nolloth, 2022-08-10)

#623

The development will be an eyesore and not to the benefit of Melkbosstrand as parking will be a problem and I think we have enough business premises as it is! Please do not ruin our little town with this type of buildings!!!

Gordon Swanepoel (Duynefontein, 2022-08-10)

#624

I objected to the proposed development on beach road corner of 10 avenue

Duval La Grange (Cape Town , 2022-08-10)

#626

Melkbosstrand is perfect the way it is.

David White (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-10)

#627

We need to keep the Melkbos village feel. The development of 1 huge structure will only lead to many more in the future which will ruin it!

Geneth McAlister (Johannesburg, 2022-08-10)

#632

No need for more commercial units

Michele Bowden (Cape Town, 2022-08-10)

#634

I moved here in 1987 and have seen how all the developments has impacted Melkbos. Birkenhead, Atlantic Beach, Melkbosch Village, the block of flats where the old Spar used to be and it saddens me to see how all these have changed Melkbos. One more block of flats will become 1 more, then 1 more then just 1 more until it looks like Blaauwberg beachfront, and we can clearly see how tired that area looks these days....

Chris Hartley (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-10)

#635

I don't want the typical multi story apartment blocks in Beach Road

Antoinette Coetzee (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-10)

#637

The suburb roads and infrastructure cannot cope at present
Nuclear evacuation plan is already maxed

Megan Collopy (Cape Town , 2022-08-10)

#640

I care about Melkbos and hope this development does not increase sewage issues, parking - which is already a nightmare and blocking views for other residents...

Fiona Stark (Melkbostrand, 2022-08-10)

#642

It sets a precedent and will result in the losing of the village feel as well as create a TableView beachfront in Melkbos. As a resident that lives in 9th Avenue, weekends are already a nightmare with parking not to mention the Christmas period. We struggle to get out of our house due to their not being enough parking in the area

Werner Lunow (Melkbos , 2022-08-10)

#643

I am signing because the development must take the traffic and parking sufficiently into account. The sewerage problem must be sorted out and adhere to building restrictions

Marié Du Toit (Melkbostrand, 2022-08-11)

#644

I just moved here from Pretoria especially because melkbosstrand Wil not be developed because of Koeberg!

Celestine Swanepoel (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-11)

#645

I have just moved to melkbosstrand from Pretoria, because it Wil not become a development hub!

Marco Swanepoel (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-11)

#648

I'm against development of properties on Beach Road, Melkbosstrand which go against the existing caracter of the properties on Beach Road.

Riaan De Kock (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-11)

#649

The infrastructure is already overburdened and can absolutely not handle any further development.

Deidre Conradie (Cape+Town, 2022-08-11)

#653

Melkbos doesn’t need more buildings it will totally ruin this small little village

Dale Neves (Cape Town , 2022-08-11)

#658

Im signing this because when i moved to melkbosstrand i fell in love with the town and the people. This development will be the first step to changing melkbosstrand for the worst into becoming more like bloubergstrand. We love our town the way it is please stop this

Stevan Myburgh (Cape town, 2022-08-11)

#660

Melkbos must not be built up to the point where the village feel disappears. Overcrowding will impact services and traffic will be unmanageable

Marianne Kuhlhoff (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-11)

#661

Sewerage is gross and should NEVER be pumped straight into the oceans!

Barbara Briggs-Davies (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-11)

#674

f this is allowed to proceed it will be the first of many.
Architecture does not fit in with surroundings.
This erf has a single residential zoning.
How on earth did this get approved when plans for a wider than normal gate didn't get approved in one of the houses in the avenues?

Josie Norfolk (cape town, 2022-08-11)

#676

I'm opposed to the size and height of the proposed building

David Brown (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-11)

#679

Keep Melkbosstrand original and unspoiled!

Jaco Schuurman (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-11)

#682

Die verkeer is klaar erg genoeg!! Dit is soos gewoonlik weer net n geld maak storie! Die ontwikkelaars dink net aan geld en nie aan die omgeving nie!!!! NEE STOP!

Teresa Hollander (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-12)

#684

I’m a property owner and resident of Melkbosstrand for over 30 years and understand times are changing, but can not see how this sort of over the top developments can benefit Melkbosstrand in any way, Melkbosstranders do not want to live in a Blaauberg beach front. If this development be allowed to go ahead, it will be the beginning of the end for this quant coastal village we all love.

Nicolaas Rens (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-12)

#685

This development will negatively impact the infrastructure of electricity, sewerage and traffic in a very small seaside village.

MARYKE HANGER (MELKBOSSTRAND, 2022-08-12)

#686

I used to live in Melkbos and don't want to see our beautiful seaside town ruined

Glynis Johanson (Puttenham, Guildford, 2022-08-12)

#688

Because I LOVE MELKBOSSTRAND and would HATE to be turned into another Hermanus or Big Bay!!! We should NOT follow suite! PLEASE COCT!!

Albé du Plessis (Melkbosstrand, Cape Town, 2022-08-12)

#690

This is totally not acceptable. There cannot be more multi stories building added in the northern suburbs due to POSTDAM not being able to treat it's current load.

Further, the departure from the zoning restrictions cannot be accepted.

Insufficient parking is proposed

There is no mitigating action to remedy the traffic increase

the current infrastructure for sewage will not be able to deal with the increase.

Philippe Roche (tableview, 2022-08-12)

#692

Melkbos is a small town near a big city where the freedom of small town is still enjoyed. There are so many areas being developed and more than enough currently. Our small town with its small town feel needs to stay that way.

Angelique Steenkamp (Cape Town, 2022-08-13)

#695

I don’t want developers

Helena Willicott (Cape, 2022-08-13)

#701

We do not need this deelopment and disruption in our town. Go to Blouberg.

Hendriette Muller (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-15)

#702

I am signing against the building they want to build in our village.

Natania Taylor (Cape Town, 2022-08-15)

#704

The rules off approval has not been followed, money should not buy a free pass. Not enough parking for the proposed development. Not enough sewerage pipes. There is already sewerage issues. These grounds should be bought by COCT and the purple house ice-cream shop and public toilets should be flattened moved to those grounds with a Life saver outlook unit on top. This should also incorporate an emergency and LE vehicle parking. Proper sewage lines and pay as you go Lockers fenced off to be secure at night.

Deirdre Erasmus (Cape Town, 2022-08-15)

#709

Keep Melkbos the why it is no sky scrapers, one start more will follow. So don't start.

Hester Van Den Heever (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-16)

#713

Want to keep the small town feel

Ilze Esterhuizen (Cape Town, 2022-08-16)

#714

I am a resident of Melkbos and do not agree with this development and the impact it will have on our town and property values around d the development

Gerda Miller (Cape town, 2022-08-17)

#718

Evacuation problems with Koeberg, and sewage problems

Johan Jonker (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-19)

#720

Melkbosstrand doesn’t need these apartment blocks, its a huge impact on this small town that already suffers with sewage and not talking about the traffic and parking

Julian Fourie (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-19)

#723

This historical beauty will be ruined by big buliding

Nataly Matta (Cape Town, 2022-08-20)

#729

This development will change the culture of Melkbos!

Teresa Swart (Durbanville, 2022-08-23)

#730

This development will impact on the village nature of Melkbos and create problems for our already under pressure infrastructure (sewage).

Catherine Gillmer (Melkbosstrand, Cape Town, 2022-08-23)

#732

Melkbos must stay the way it is. Peacefully

Mike gibbons (melkbosstrand, 2022-08-24)

#734

I am a resident and the suburb is already struggling with traffic issues in the morning as the roads are inadequate
The nuclear evacuation plan is at full capacity, with no announcements of any improvements
Existing services are at full capacity

Deene Collopy (Cape Town , 2022-08-25)

#736

Im a resident and know that our town can't handle this kind of development on the beachfront.

Melany Van Heerden (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-25)

#737

We dont want this here and will have a huge impact on environment.

Riaan Verwey (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-26)

#739

I think that this new development plan is absolutely horrible and that it will destroy the look of our beautiful melkbos!👎🏼

Brandon Adendorff (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-30)

#742

Density, over populated, infrastructure, sewerage, parking and various other issues will have negative impact

Marius Venter (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-30)

#743

Something like this should never have made it past the "public participation" stage... I'm not sure there even what an adequate participation period. This development will DESTROY the beachfront on Melkbosstrand

Greg McDavid (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-30)

#746

I live in melkbosstand, and would not want to see this scenic beachside location spoiled by too much development and high rise buildings, as well as the resulting impact on traffic, and associated problems or excessive urbanisation. Keep it a residential beach area that visitors can also enjoy.

Vanessa Cowan ( Cape Town , 2022-08-30)

#748

i agree with everything in the petition. it is disgusting how the sewerage and health and safety in general is affecting melkbos, let alone a commercial residence on the beachfront

Tamsin Norscia (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-30)

#749

I do not approve of this development due to the negative effects in the area.

Richard Knaggs (Cape Town, 2022-08-30)

#750

The restriction of development for safety in an evacuation situation over all these years can certainly now suddenly not be compromised.

The infrastructure is severely lacking for the current situationand densification put the already constrained infrastructure at risk of total collapse.

Liezl Kunz (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-31)

#755

Want to keep Melkbos as it is!!!

Jaco Schuurman (Melkbosstrand , 2023-05-04)
