I am a former student of Hazelwood North Primary school and it is surprising to see how little has changed about the road that this school is on. The safety of students and parents is paramount, and the school zone should be set at 40km/h as it is in towns around the Latrobe Valley. There has never been adequate space for vehicles to pull off to the side of church road without causing a hazard to other vehicles on the road. This is an issue about safety, and I believe that the Latrobe City Council needs to take action to improve safety standards around the Hazelwood North Primary School.
