COVID vaccine Mandate

I lost my job there because I refused the mandatory flu vaccine.

Jason Crockwell (Pittsfield , 2022-10-26)

#202

There's no science behind this mandate. I also do not believe in forced medical treatments especially when it will not protect and/or prevent transmission. The real question then becomes, why the mandate?

Colleen Henry (Hinsdale , 2022-10-26)

My body - my choice.

Erin Scott (Clarksburg , 2022-10-26)

#211

I’m signing because I believe that we should have a choice whether we wanna put something in our bodies or not. I don’t find where there’s any benefit in this vaccine many people have been boosted for five times and they still get sick. This should be our constitutional right and it’s being taken away from us.

Kim Wright (Adams, 2022-10-26)

#212

This should be an individual choice based on individuals health status and risk.

Carol Bentz (Adams, 2022-10-26)

#215

my body , my choice. No vaccine should be mandated on any employee.

Ryan Norton (Pittsfield, 2022-10-26)

#217

I’m signing because we support our patients right to their body their choice and we should receive the same level of respect.

Alexandria Carmon (Pittsfield , 2022-10-26)

#218

My amazing nurse friends deserve better. This is horrible!

Bridget Keegan (Pittsfield , 2022-10-26)

#219

No one should be mandated to take an experimental vaccine!! Especially that’s giving people myocarditis!!! And are dropping like flies!!! Do you research!!

Tracey Macdonald (Adams, 2022-10-26)

#228

People should have the right to make informed decisions about their own health.

Danielle Racette (North Adams, 2022-10-26)

#229

I worked at BMC for years. Still currently in the medical field with nearly 20 years experience. I shouldn’t be forced into taking something. Allow it to be at the discretion of each individual.

I was injured by the first dose, with neurological damage impeding my ability to walk. I suffer from tremors, brain fog, tachycardia, neuropathy, small fiber neuropathy, migraines, internal tremors, nausea. I needed a walker for 6 months in order to ambulate. I have thousands of dollars in co-pays for specialists and treatment. I was forced onto disability instead of workman's comp. In February while in recovery, I was terminated via an email under the terms that I could no longer receive vaccinations. No one returned my phone calls of desperation. In my termination email they stayed that if I did get another dose, I could re apply. My medical exemption from my Immunologist was denied.

The data has shown conservatively over 4,000,000 people in the nation having adverse reactions to these vaccines. Pfizer admitted it does not stop transmission of covid. This is wrong and the higher ups know it. Forcing the hand and threatening the livelihood of the healthcare workers that know better than these admins and boards because they are on the ground for profit is horrendous. If it wasn’t for healthcare workers the boards and higher ups would not be sitting in their cushy jobs right now destroying our already depleted medical system. Keep forcing peoples hand and that will further divide the trust in our medical system. BMC admins, start leading by example and do what’s right. Fight for your workers and show them you care. Show your workers and the nation why BMC is a good hospital. Not just for workers but patients as well.

Stefanie Tatro (North Adams, 2022-10-26)

#237

The shot doesn't work, people are still getting covid, what happened to freedom of choice and the free country we live in???

Rob n Lisa Gagnon (Southampton , 2022-10-26)

#238

A mandate is not good for anyone. We know our own body and we use our intelligence to decide what is good for ourselves no one should be held hostage to a mandate

Linda Cellana (North Adams, 2022-10-26)

#243

I have had only two shots but no boosters,
I have not had covid, I've only had one false positive test and am comfortable that
my 2 shots are protecting me and I live where there a lot of elderly people, myself being 72 .

Helen Roberts (Adams, 2022-10-26)

#247

I truly believe if I’m putting something in my body it should be my choice. I’m the person that ultimately deals with the consequences of what goes in my body. Whether those are good or bad. We wear masks at work for preventing spread. As a hospital we’re all about respecting each other’s choices. But for some reason not about what goes in our bodies. This vaccine is still just authorized for emergency use?

Dennis Desnoyers (Pittsfield , 2022-10-26)

#249

I have a right to choose what goes into my body. I was made to be vaccinated & get the flu shot. Enough is enough.

Lisa Maston (Dalton , 2022-10-26)

#250

I’m signing for my Daughter. I don’t believe employees should be forced into getting something they absolutely do not want to get.

Tammy Auger (Dalton, 2022-10-26)

#261

I fee I have the Right to refuse. My body…my choice

Angela Scapin (Pittsfield , 2022-10-26)

Let people be responsible for themselves

Robert Cellana (North Adams, 2022-10-26)

#269

..... I am, totally, in agreement with this letter. It speaks the truth.

Nancy Dixon (01247, 2022-10-26)

#270

I am signing because it’s my body my choice and this is still America the land of the free!

Deborah Griffin (Pittsfield, 2022-10-26)

#271

This has gone too far. It was proven that this vaccine doesn't benefit the 'greater good'. It should be an individual choice. The only party that benefits from this mandate is those putting $ into their pockets at the end of the day. There are significant risks to this vaccine that have been minimized by the mainstream media, and mandating them is completely unethical.

Kathryn Smith (Pittsfield, 2022-10-26)

#273

It is completely unfair for any organization to force their employees to do something to their body that is unwanted.

Karly Auger (Peru, 2022-10-26)

#274

I Believe mandatory vaccinations violates our constitutional rights.

Stephen Tatro (Pittsfield, 2022-10-26)

#276

I believe in being able to choose

Cynthia Mangiacotti (lanesboro, 2022-10-26)

#277

I’m signing because I believe in my body my choice. As a young female I fear for the future of my health due to this shot. I fear for the unknown of what it can do to me. It terrifies
Me that it might have an effect on me having children and what could be passed down to my child. BMC should not be in charge of what I want to put into my body. I love my job and the people I would with but this is crossing a line.

Nickole Prestipino (Pittsfield , 2022-10-26)

#279

Our bodies, our choice !

Stacy Yon (Pittsfield, 2022-10-26)

#280

Getting vaccinated should be a personal choice. Especially when these vaccine manufacturers can’t even test correctly and guarantee it’s safe. I went the whole first and second wave of Covid unvaccinated and never got it until I was vaccinated. My personal reason for waiting was I wasn’t high risk and I want the testing done to be certain it’s safe for me. You can’t expect folks to take a vaccine that isn’t tested and has no success rate and is having a negative physical effect on the public. This is needlessly putting folks at risk for bureaucracy.

Scott Moore (Lee, 2022-10-26)

#281

l am signing this petition...because:
l should be the one deciding what l want injected into my body. BMC has no right to make that decision for me. If they are. forcing this vaccination are they accountable if l have a reaction (immediate or future) that affects my ability to work to support my family.

Mary J Forfa (West Sand Lake, NY, 2022-10-26)

#283

100% agree.

Ashlee Loehr (Hinsdale, 2022-10-26)

#284

Personal choices for individuals. Mandates for vaccines must respect individuals and their religions and personal health. Failure to provide funding for COVID illness or vaccine reactions unfair.

Ruth O’Hearn (Readsboro , 2022-10-26)

#290

I am no longer employed at BMC. I am also for the vaccine. However, I strongly feel that the risks associated with the vaccine should always be an individual choice. Removing the mandate will significantly improve employee retention and quite frankly that is something BMC needs now more than ever.

Stephanie Rogers (Clarksburg, 2022-10-26)

#291

I believe the vaccine and all boosters are being used globally as an experiment and both being used as a weapon and reduce the world population.

Steve Auger (Dalton , 2022-10-26)

#294

We can’t afford to lose any more nurses ( or employees) by this mandate. This should be an individual’s choice.. how can you put money/reimbursement over an individual and their own rights/wishes?

Wendy White (Peru, 2022-10-26)

#297

Medical freedom and informed decision is important. The nuremburg laws are supposed to prevent these kinds of mandates. My body my choice.

Rick OBrien (Prospect , 2022-10-26)

#300

I’m signing this because I believe this should be a person’s personal choice

Havah Wendling (Pittsfield, 2022-10-26)

#303

I’m signing because the corporate greed of BMC, should in no way dictate what I put into my body! MY BODY, MY CHOICE!

Kurtis Baronoski (Pittsfield, 2022-10-26)

#304

my body my choice, I shouldn’t have to be forced to put something into my body that I do not want. I love my job and love caring for patients but it’s not fair that we are put in the predicament yet again of choosing a job over my own rights to my body.

Meghan Ostrobinski (Williamstown, 2022-10-26)

#309

I agree with all stated above

Shayne Cahalan (Hinsdale, 2022-10-26)

#314

My body my choice

Catherine Perry (Pittsfield, 2022-10-26)

#316

I think it’s a personal choice and we have been putting ourselves on the front line. It should be our choice whether or not we do more vaccines. I don’t believe it should be a condition of employment.

Justine Wood (Dalton, 2022-10-26)

#317

I’m signing because these mandates have to STOP but won’t until enough people stand up and say NO! It was wrong last year and is still wrong now. I am a former employee of 18+yrs, a proud USAF Gulf War Veteran, and a two-time cancer survivor who was granted a fully approved medical exemption by BMC and then summarily suspended without pay, & then terminated because they claimed they could not accommodate exemptions & unvaccinated employees were a danger to their coworkers & patients even though ‘the science’ was already becoming clear that this experimental vaccine did not prevent us from getting or transmitting the virus! I was the one taking the risk but they were clearly not concerned about my health trying to force me to take a shot that would greatly jeopardize my remission. Do you really think that they are concerned about any employee’s health (let alone patient care) by pushing out so many experienced & knowledgeable professionals last year? Sadly, how many will be pushed out this time? Enough is ENOUGH! Please support medical autonomy!

Christine Quillen (Huntington, MA, 2022-10-26)

#318

I definitely believe that this is all a matter of profit. We should not have to be forced to get a vaccine that has proven itself many times that it does not work. It does not lessen the symptoms, it does not stop transmission, and it does not protect you from getting it. It is a virus like anything other virus. I left my job because of the forcing and pushing and I refuse to come back unless it’s eliminated. Our patients NEED us and we are being forced to get it in order to keep our jobs or leave to find jobs elsewhere. MY BODY MY CHOICE

Heather Melton (North Adams, 2022-10-26)

#320

I don’t get sick and I don’t wanna be forced into something specially when bmc won’t pay us when we get covid

Adam Gamache (Pittsfield , 2022-10-26)

#323

My family and myself are educated and have many decades of experience and were forced out of our careers due to the RIDICULOUS mandate of AN EXPERIMENTAL vaccine with NO recourse if we sustain injury from them

Dennis MOran (Clarksburg, 2022-10-26)

#324

I do not want any more shots !

Ann DeLSignore (Adams, 2022-10-26)

#328

Should be my choice

Christine Barber (Pittsfield , 2022-10-26)

#330

It’s my body and my choice what goes into it. And after the vaccines I’ve had heart palpitations and do not want to chance my health anymore.

Alisa Fabino-Potash (Pittsfield, 2022-10-26)

#334

I feel like we should now have forced to have this booster to be a nurse.
Mandatory COVID vaccines made sense at the start of COVID, because of its deadly nature. COVID variants are becoming weaker, and people should have the option of accepting the vaccine booster or not at this point, as long as they know the risk/ benefit information.

Melissa Patnode (Pittsfield , 2022-10-26)

#340

I chose to get the vaccine but it should be a choice.

Rita Giovanetti (Pittsfield , 2022-10-26)

#341

I’m signing this because I do not believe anyone should be forced to take experimental medical treatment against their will. My religious beliefs also do not allow me to take this vaccine.

Mary Edmonds (North Adams, 2022-10-26)

#350

I believe in my God given immunity.
No more mandates!

Cindy Mazzeo (Dalton, 2022-10-26)

#355

Unconstitutional

Gerald Ely (Peru,ma., 2022-10-26)

#357

My body is still having major side effects from the first one. Please, I do not need any more damage.

BETH RINGGOLD (Pittsfield , 2022-10-26)

I’m an immunocompromised RN. I willingly and proudly became vaccinated (and later boosted) at the beginning of the vaccine rollout, thinking and hoping that the vaccinations would prevent the transmission of COVID.

As I am on immunosuppressive medication, the vaccinations did not give me appropriate antibodies to fight COVID. With that being said, I have also received (WILLINGLY) the prophylactic monoclonal antibody injections against COVID. To this day, I am lucky to say I have not contracted COVID, but many of my coworkers have.

At this point in the late states of this pandemic, now turning into an endemic, I believe we should be given the same autonomy in choosing whether or not to receive this latest booster.

I believe our place of work should be willing to consider and GRANT exemptions for medical and religious reasons, as they do with the flu shot (which they did NOT do with the first mandate - yes, they allowed you to apply for one, but I’m unaware of any one who was actually granted one). They should trust their employees, who, frankly, have been out there serving the frightened community since day one, instead of sitting behind closed office doors writing policies, to make educated decisions about this. They trust us with the lives the community, so please trust us to make our own choices.

Sarah Roberts (Pittsfield , 2022-10-26)

#369

Because I believe in the sacrifices these healthcare providers choice. They do so many selfless tasks on a day to day basis that not many can comprehend. Forcing a mandate like this is wrong on so many levels.

Jonathan Kolis (Cheshire, 2022-10-26)

#370

RN @ BMC for 27 years. I worked night shift in the ICU during Covid. I watching family members say goodbye to loved ones through Zoom. I risked my own life to save others. We reused our N95 for days on end by storing them in brown paper bags. I was kicked to the curb for standing up for my right to refuse an experimental "vaccine". Enough is enough. Stop the financial terrorism. Your employees deserve better.

Danielle Knutson (Cheshire , 2022-10-26)

#371

My fiancée was sick with the chills head ache stomach pain for three days and her arm was swollen and beat red. I’m not your property.

Tom Therrien (Pittsfield , 2022-10-26)

#372

I am signing because like most I am against the vaccine, but in order to continue in school I was forced to get it and now I suffer from headaches that I never had before. I have also tested positive x 3 for COVID!!

Vicki Havill (Richmond, 2022-10-26)

#375

I had a significant reaction (development of a mass in my nasopharynx, increase in blood pressure requiring medication, increase in GERD requiring scoping and having to be on medication twice daily for at least 6 months) and even if my MD fills out the form somehow BMC retains the right to still deny that form!! I should have the right to protect myself from something that is potentially harmful to me REGARDLESS of this previous side effects!!!

Robyn Lamoureaux (Pittsfield , 2022-10-26)

#376

I used to work at BMC and can no longer because I am not vaccinated. Also as a concerned community member I stand by employees having the right to choose

Rachel Desrosiers (Clarksburg, 2022-10-26)

#388

It should not be mandated since it has been proven that it is ineffective

Ellin Omelenchuck (Lenox Dale, 2022-10-26)

#396

I am signing this petition because I have friends that worked at BMC for many years and were fired because they refused the shot. I am personally opposed to the mandatory vaccine requirement.
