Stop the rezoning of Bromhof ERF 634

Comments

#2

Power grid cannot handle anymore development and we are constantly having issues to restore after loadshedding.

Rodney Smith (Bromhof Randburg, 2022-12-01)

#5

My house will be severely affected by this development. We already have noise pollution with the recent installation of the generator across from my property that supports the Bromhof Spar development. This is zoned as a residential area, not a commercial district.

Laura Oosthuizen (Bromhof Ext 19, 2022-12-01)

#7

This will have a huge impact on an already strained Bromhof grid 14, as well as greatly increased traffic on our road, Buiten Avenue, Tin Road and CR Swart which is so full of potholes which haven’t been repaired in years!

Debbi Gregory (Randburg, 2022-12-01)

#8

I am against the development

Sharleen Ranjith (Randburg, 2022-12-01)

#9

Our water and electricity grids cannot handle this development

Andrei Esterhuizen (Randburg, 2022-12-01)

#11

To turn that corner erf into a fast food area will put too much strain on already busy roads, cause even more potholes, will cause more traffic congestion, specially with robots always out, will put even more strain on our already broken and collapsing water system and power supply! This area was never meant to carry such loads!! And nothing ever gets fixed.

Jennifer Charles (Randburg, 2022-12-01)

#19

The proposed new shopping complex and office buildings will put too much strain on the already crumbling infrastructure.

Wendy Thome (Randburg, 2022-12-02)

#22

1. Electrical grid in the area is already strained beyond its limit.
2. Tin Road itself will become unusable due to traffic flowing into both sides at the bottom.
3. Permanent air pollution.
4. Increased noise levels.
5. Increased crime.

Marge Marge (Sonneglans, 2022-12-02)

#24

The area is already a mess on that corner
Loadshedding is a reall problem
Undesirables hanging around and begging will.only increase

Douglas Lang (Randburg, 2022-12-02)

#25

Grid cannot handle current pressure. And traffic

Ilda Miltiadou (Bromhof , 2022-12-02)

#27

Traffic issues and containing the grid

Karen Deyzel (Jhb, 2022-12-02)

#28

There is no way our electrical sub station will carry the extra load.

And the road intersection is already a mess ... Road is too small to carry extra traffic volume.

Tony Teixeira (Bromhof, 2022-12-02)

#30

We already have a shopping centre that bring unwanted issues. This will be doubled with the new food centre.

Sharon Kennedy (Randburg , 2022-12-02)

#37

The objection I have is due to the current insufficient infrastructure in Bromhof. We struggle on a daily basis with power overloads, blocked drains, poor water quality & supply, burst pipes and massive traffic issues especially in relation to taxis & illegal taxi ranks. There are multiple drug sites that have developed as well. The intersections on Tin road are dangerous especially at CR Swart. I have no issue with development of the property itself because it's currently attracting vagrants, however the right infrastructure MUST be able to boost the area first.

Patricia Ray (Randburg, 2022-12-05)

#42

Infrastructure to small to handle all traffic

Charmaine Green (19 Shianti Bromhof, 2022-12-05)

#47

Fix C. R. Swart Drive.
The road is like a dirt track riddled with pot holes. Now you want to put another development on it.
Does Jhb. Municipality have a City Planning department?

Felix Lillie (Randburg , 2022-12-05)

#49

I’m signing because a mall strip with fast food establishments and potentially restaurants will negatively impact my quality of life. The noise from the generators during loadshedding will be unbearable (especially at night), the fumes from the extractor outlets will impact our health and not to mention the increase in vermin, and the strain on our already overburdened grid. I live in Shiante Complex and my property will be directly impacted as I share a boundary wall with Erf 634.

Kim Napo (Johannesburg , 2022-12-05)

#50

The development is going to have a negative effect on the value of my property

Sue Marshall (Bromhof , 2022-12-05)

#52

I am a resident of Shiante complex and this property is next door. Our property values will be affected and the obvious noise, air pollution and rodent infestation is a concern. Crime and vagrants are another concern.

Alan Palmer-Jones (Bromhof Randburg, 2022-12-05)

#53

Pollution, rat infestation, bad air quality and noise next to our complex.

Vernon Theart (Randburg, 2022-12-05)

#54

I’m signing because I live in the area and I object on the rezoning

Samantha Mc Lauchlan (Johannesburg , 2022-12-05)

#55

Objection to proposed drive thru development next to Shiante Complex

Merlin Sigapragasan (Randburg , 2022-12-05)

#62

This is my area, my electrical grid. We suffer already

Tammy De Bruyn (Johannesburg , 2022-12-05)

#64

I live in the adjacent complex. This will have a direct impact on the value of my property and also affect my living environment, not to mention that the infrastructure cannot handle a development of this nature

Jacqui Carr (Bromhof, 2022-12-05)

#65

The area is has high traffic flow into Strijdom Park which we travel through daily. Already when there’s no power the traffic congestion adds an hour on to our normal traffics

Tamzin Herbst (Johannesburg , 2022-12-05)

#68

I’m signing because I agree with the concerns of the new development and the further damage and stress it will cause to the infrastructure and current residents.

Chelsea Palmer-Jones (Johannesburg , 2022-12-05)

#70

This will be a very bad impact on the value of our homes.

Jacqueline Lombard (Randburg, 2022-12-06)

#74

This affects the traffic on route to work as well as residents in that area

Michelle van Tonder (Johannesburg, 2022-12-06)

#80

It will impact the neighbourhood.

Diana Sandu (Randburg, 2022-12-06)

#82

Attract vagrants. Electrical issues in the area will be worse. Traffic will be worse.

Jody Schoenlank (Jody, 2022-12-06)

#85

For nany reasons outlined in the letter i sent to the legal team

Mike Hughes (Rabdburg, 2022-12-06)

#89

Traffic and power going to be a huge problem.

Marchelle Goode (Sundowner , 2022-12-06)

#92

The residents in the area will be negatively impacted by the extra traffic. Roads are not able to cope with the increased traffic flow. Vagrants will become a problem. Noise will also be a problem for residents in the immediate vicinity. The privacy of the adjacent properties will be negatively impacted

Eleanor Schoenlank (Randburg, 2022-12-07)

#96

The road infrastructure is not going to cope with additional traffic .. there is already a shopping centres x 2 in close proximity with extensive food outlets and that creates more traffic and noise. It's a.suburban area not a city center. Take this development elsewhere please. Thank u

Lauren Carr (Gauteng, 2022-12-07)

#99

I stay in the complex next door

Adele Bots (Bromhof, 2022-12-08)

#102

I don’t want fast food outlets on my street , there is already a centre that caters for that and traffic is already a problem

Kwame Mahlangu (Johannesburg , 2022-12-08)

#104

We are already suffering with bad traffic due to load shedding and the shopping center on the corner and the robot that is not always working

Charles Van Der Westhuizen (Randburg , 2022-12-08)

#105

Stop the bullshit that is developing in overcrowded residential areas.

Steven Green (Randburg , 2022-12-08)

#106

Struggling with traffic already with the shopping centre and also the robots when loadshedding

Carla van der Westhuizen (Randburg, 2022-12-08)

#107

That is the route I take to work. The traffic in and around the area is horrendous already. CR Swart is crumbling due to so many potholes that never get fixed. Adding places that cause traffic is a terrible idea. As well as the residents in that area don’t need more problems.

Hayleigh Thornton (Johannesburg , 2022-12-09)

#109

Electrical grid concerns

Tes Ebersohn (Randburg , 2023-07-22)

#112

There will be too much traffic at that corner and the infrastructure won't cope.

Colin Van Biljoen (Randburg, 2023-07-23)

#113

Will result in noise pollution . The development will exacerbate littering and cause traffic.

Mgcini Gumbo (Johannesburg , 2023-07-23)

#114

This development will increase congestion considering the already horrible traffic routes in the community. This development will increase foot traffic, potentially increase crime, increase pollution/rodents and cause noise pollution.

Lindelani Gumbo (Bromhof , 2023-07-23)

#115

I’m signing because Tin Road is already being used as a thoroughfare to CR Swart both ways. The traffic makes it difficult getting out of my property.
Already a serious accident on Tin last week.
Drivers are in a rush and don’t stop at the Stop street cnr Tin and Kelly.
The intersection cnr Tin and CR Swart already very busy and taxis stopped near the robots on Tin both ways.

Gaby Rockett (Randburg, 2023-07-23)

#117

I am signing this petition because i agree that this will only put more strain on the power grid as we already do have a lot of strain on the power grid and it will cause a lot of noise and problems with the traffic flow as the traffic flow is already bad flowing down and upwards at times. It will become unusable. The noise will increase and the already air pollution due to the industrial side of Strydom park will only increase and get worse.

Nicola Mostert (Johannesburg, 2023-07-24)

#118

I do not believe that such a development will be of benefit to our area and community, this development will cause issues such as power outages, traffic congestion and noise pollution and also invade the privacy of the neighboring residents. I belive that it will also bring a wave of crime that is not acceptable, as a result I do not approve of the development being approved.

Jason Naidoo (Johannesburg , 2023-07-24)

#119

I do not want to have a drive through Centre open up due to the noise and traffic issue it will cause.

Andrea Naidoo (Johannesburg , 2023-07-26)

#121

already heavy traffic in that area - and sometime can not use those roads due to all the traffic. The noise, devaluation of property in the area and BIG CONCER about electricity - we have such a problem and have had weeks with no power this development will just add to the power problems in the area. SO NO, I don't wan tot see this development in the area.
