Stage Run Community Petition for Birdsong Thoroughfare Restriction

The speeding and incidents of almost hitting children walking home from school and playing. The sexual harassment the young girls (5-8yrs) have endured from Two Creeks employees, the damage to our roads/homes from construction vehicles. Keep our families safe and shut down the gate.

I am a homeowner that will be directly affected by increased traffic and safety hazards created by this apartment access through our established neighborhood.

Gabrielle Barrick (SAN ANTONIO, 2023-01-13)

#7

I am signing because I am a mom to young kids and the idea that we are at the back of the subdivision but potentially hundreds of people now have access to our road is going to result in dangerous situations for the kids on our road. Not to mention, there are so many issues with the roads leading out of this part of the subdivision, so it’s going to increase road issues as well. They have an exit already straight on to the freeway. It doesn’t make sense to exit through the back of our subdivision.

Excess traffic on this residential street is not acceptable in any way. Access by any vehicle to or from the Birdsong property from Stage Run, other than for emergency service should be permanently barred. A locked gate to ensure compliance should be installed by and paid for by Birdsong.

Alan Bourg (San Antonio, 2023-01-13)

#13

I live on Cooper Valley and do not support the open gate, traffic, and associated apartment persons having free access to the neighborhood via the gate that was only intended for emergency personnel.

Sarah Bronson (San Antonio , 2023-01-13)

#14

I have a daughter who plays in the neighborhood. There are already many speeding cars and adding a gate to a apartment complex (that will likely be filled with young adults who will be partying and drinking) is an absolute hazard to everyone who lives in stage run. The children especially. Adding a private gate to our community is a easy solution.

Ashley Flores (San Antonio , 2023-01-13)

#16

We are already having issues with the SongBird condos, loud music, trash in our yard, workers exposing themselves when using restroom in the open and someone is shining flashlights in our bedroom windows all hours of the night and early morning, having access will allow even more issues.

Eloy and Cynthia Cisneros (San Antonio, 2023-01-13)

#19

I do not want the other neighborhood to have access

Alexandria Smith (San Antonio , 2023-01-13)

#21

Too much traffic congestion and safety concerns.

Thomas Patten (San Antonio , 2023-01-13)

#22

I am resident on Royal field and we don’t want bird song gate to have access to stage run community. It is a big risk to our families and kids.

Shrotri Prasad (San Antonio, 2023-01-13)

#25

I am signing this because we already have enough traffic through our neighborhood and this gate would cause more damage to copper valley road.

Mark Runnels (San Antonio, 2023-01-13)

#27

I live in the neighborhood where my small children and other children play- we are concerned about the increase of traffic and potential danger to ours and neighborhood children.

Tanya Marie Campen (SAN ANTONIO, 2023-01-13)

#32

I am a property owner and walk along neighborhood streets that are too busy with traffic already.
Children will be at risk.
Street is too narrow for a thoroughfare.

Shell McLain (San Antonio,Texas, 2023-01-13)

#35

There is absolutely no good reason for an apartment complex to have an entrance in the middle of a residential neighborhood. It could unfairly increase traffic on quiet back streets, put children at risk, and encourage non-residents to be on the street. Creating that gate makes no sense…it is also more convenient for the residents of Birdsong to use the Two Creeks exit.
Also, we were assured that the gate would not be in Stage Run. Another instance of flagrant deception?

Cherie Benson (San Antonio , 2023-01-13)

#36

We live on royal field, my kids use to play on a road outside as our area use to be so quite.
Since constructions started we have been having many issues like noise, risk of accidents by traffic and construction heavy vehicles, construction workers parking on the roads, Trash and Debris on the road, safety risks for small kids...I can go on and go on.

But we do not want Birdsong apartment community to have entrance and exits through stage run for safety reasons of our kids.

Anagha Chandere (SanAntonio, 2023-01-13)

#37

I live in the community and I’m very concerned about cars speeding in and out and using us as a Thruway. We have already had a few close calls with construction vehicles, and it will just get worse when the residents of Birdsong are speeding to and from trying to get to work or from work.

Jessica Trier (San Antonio , 2023-01-13)

#38

If Birdsong has the right to put a gate on their side of the street then Stage Run should have the right to put a gate on our side of the street. If we can't pass through their gate to go into their development, then they can't pass through our side to go into our development.

Martha Wolf (San Antonio, 2023-01-13)

#40

It will benefit only those that live in the apartments

Sam Rivera (San Antonio, 2023-01-13)

#43

I live in Stage Run

Marie Cummings (San Antonio , 2023-01-13)

#44

The contruction traffic already is excessive. More traffic along our residential streets will only cause more accidents - and Bridsong already has two gates for use

Timothy Ward (SAN ANTONIO, 2023-01-13)

#46

Less traffic. A lot of kids in the Stage Run neighborhood. Safety is a concern

Veronica Chantala (San Antonio, 2023-01-13)

#48

I am concerned about my grandson’s safety. He is an elementary school student and walks and bikes through this area. I don’t want extra traffic through this area.

Linda Parker (San Antonio, 2023-01-13)

#54

Do not want the gate for the safety of the residents and children. It will increase traffic in the neighborhood.

Jayne Pritchett (San Antonio, 2023-01-13)

#56

I don’t want traffic speeding through my neighborhood endangering children and causing more vehicle noise.

Clay McAnally (San Antonio, 2023-01-13)

#62

I want access restricted and avoid added traffic through our residentisl area. We have children contantly walking , biking, running around the neighborhood, and would not wsnthem endsngered by through traffic.

Vanessa Molina (San Antonio, 2023-01-13)

#63

It will not benefit the neighborhood as a whole

Elliot Rivera (San Antonio, 2023-01-13)

#65

The Stage Run and Birdsong communities are supposed to be separate from each other. Adding this additional gate increases traffic flow through our residential streets and puts bicyclists, pedestrians, and young children at risk. There are already two gates for the Birdsong community. No other Two Creeks community has more than two gates as well.

Alexis Kellogg (San Antonio , 2023-01-13)

#69

I'm signing because a different establishment shouldn't be able to drive THROUGH a hoa protected private neighborhood. They do not pay hoa fees to our hoa for upkeep, so they shouldn't use it. Those people bought their property with the understanding it was a private neighborhood and not a thorough way.

Sara Lee (San Antonio, 2023-01-13)

#72

I don’t want more traffic cutting through our neiu

Lisa Novosad (San Antonio, 2023-01-14)

#73

This gate is one street behind my house and the increased traffic with the construction has become unsafe, even more noisy than could be though possible, and strains our narrow roads.

Tara Ward (San Antonio, 2023-01-14)

#80

I’m wholly against Birdsong apartment having a 3rd gate that leads into our single family home community. People who choose to live in a Single family home had good reasons why they didn’t choose to live in an apartment. You are allowing the communities to cross over way too closely. It presents a bunch of issues for our community from speeders to traffic issues to excess cars since apartment communities have a lot more stragglers visiting all throughout the year vs family homes which is typically around holidays only. None of us want this gate and Birdsong does not need it. It provides no benefit to the Stage Run community and we pay higher taxes and have more children in the streets playing like they should outdoors so we have a lot more at risk. Keep the renters of apartments within their own boundaries and out of Stage Run!

Rita Kellogg (San Antonio, 2023-01-14)

#83

We already see people speeding through this neighborhood and don’t want to see it overrun. I’ve been narrowly hit walking my dogs and if traffic gets worse, won’t feel safe walking them in my own neighborhood.

Stephanie Stanley (San Antonio , 2023-01-14)

#84

Want what was agreed on by both ladies originally to be honored and avoid unnecessary traffic on an residential area that is not capable of handling the amount of traffic that will be generated should this gate is used for anything other than emergency vehicles.

Guillermo Ramirez (San Antonio , 2023-01-14)

#85

I’m signing because this is my neighborhood. I live on Cooper Valley with my husband and 10 year old son. By allowing this gate for general 24/7 use, there is an increased potential of speeding through our neighborhood streets as well as disrupting the area with transient type apartment dwellers.

KC Bosowski (San Antonio, 2023-01-14)

#86

This would cause an influx of traffic that would be filtered out through our neighborhoods. We do not live in an HOA to deal with things like this. We pay fees to ensure the area is kept clean, issues are resolved and our neighborhood is accessible and safe.

Nina Gribben (San Antonio, 2023-01-14)

#88

I don't want more traffic running through our neighborhood than we already have!

Kim Couture (San Antonio , 2023-01-14)

#97

It is very unsafe recently

Hanmei Bao (San Antonio, 2023-01-14)

#98

This was not the original purpose of the gate and will cause unnecessary traffic in my neighborhood.

Paul Martinez (San Antonio, 2023-01-15)

#105

The access gate in question would be an accident waiting to happen. Birdsong. Apartments have two other ingress/egress exits onto Two Creeks and the Barrow Post exit is not necessary. It’s use should be for emergencies

Barbara Korn (San Antonio, 2023-01-15)

#107

Little by little , our sourranding ambience is disappearing with important changes in buildings and mobility infrastructure. It might be somehow stopped.

Jesús Romero (Mexico, 2023-01-15)

#110

I live in Stage Run Subdivision and am concerned.

Mary Kochel (San Antonio, 2023-01-15)

#112

Having a gate open to our community from the rental community will cause a lot more traffic and danger to our families.
They have two other gates they can enter and exit from

Sherry Phelps (San Antonio, 2023-01-15)

#113

I live on cooper valley. You’ll be opening up our family neighborhood to through traffic increasing the chances of our kids being hit by a car. Also, you can hear illegal street racing happening in near by neighborhoods already, if this street opens is gives them a new avenue for escape at high rates of speed.

Chad Gammage (San Antonio, 2023-01-15)

#114

Fairness of the issue.

Ollie Knowland (San Antonio , 2023-01-15)

#118

Stage Run is already overwhelmed with cross traffic, much of it going too fast on roads that are already in poor condition. Additionally, Birdsong destroyed green space for wildlife, and apparently has lied about the access in question being only for emergency access, and they are now applying for full access. We see how developers lie and conniving manipulate the system to get what they want at the expense of the public.

Sean Wilson (SAN ANTONIO, 2023-01-16)

#119

We cannot handle additional traffic from nonresidence. Less traffic means our kids will be safer walking and riding their bikes.

Jennifer Olivarez (SAN ANTONIO, 2023-01-16)

#121

i emailed our stage run hoa, months ago & expressed my concern about possible traffic thru our neighborhood. hoa responded saying that their lawyer assured them that it was legal to only allow emergency vehicles thru that gate. i guess the joke is on me, lied to. bird song never intended to follow the law. cooper valley is our only access out. this is our neighborhood where children live & play. bird song will turn this community into their short cut out and will leave us with constant traffic and noise.

douglas merritt (san antonio, 2023-01-16)

#156

I live on copper valley and when we were house shopping, we were told that this would only be an emergency gate. That’s not fair. Plus i have young child Which having that train would be dangerous

Chalice Ebow (San Antonio, 2023-01-18)

#157

I don’t want the added traffic coming through our neighborhood!

Esteban Rodríguez (San Antonio, 2023-01-18)

#158

I am signing because I live in Stage Run and do not want extra car traveling in this subdivision.

Gina Rickert (San Antonio, 2023-01-19)

#159

Inhibit the ingress and egress access point (gate) to be immediately and permanently limited only to emergency service vehicles (siren operated sensor) as originally reported by Two Creeks/Bird Song Apartment complex to Bexar County City officials (David Brewer, Chief Inspector, Fire Marshal's Office) during planning phase.

Rick Trevino (San Antonio , 2023-01-19)

#161

I’m directly affected by this project. It is a danger to our community and children. Causing neighborhood disturbances and possibly diminishing the value of our homes. This is not a city street and now we have traffic as if it is.

Sandra Longoria (San Antonio , 2023-01-19)

#164

I support this petition.

John Wilhelm (San Antonio, 2023-01-20)

#166

Increased risk of danger to residents that bike, walk and run in our neighborhood. Increased wear and tear of our neighborhood streets. Increased risk of noise pollution to the homes in Stage Run.

Estela Garcia (San Antonio, 2023-01-21)

#169

This is not what the intended use initially proposed

Raymond Shockley (San Antonio , 2023-01-25)

#172

I do not want to see the extra traffic in this area, one of the reasons I love my property In this particular area of the neighborhood is due to how the traffic is limited to Cooper Valley, Royal Field and Cooper Corral. This is very important to me and the safety of my children and grandchildren.

Kelly Thompson (Blanco, 2023-01-27)

#174

As an eligible voter of the City of San Antonio/Bexar County, petition the City Council of Bexar County Precinct 3 to submit the following final resolution between Stage Run Home Owners Association LLC and Two Creeks/Bird Song Apartments:

Inhibit the ingress and egress access point (gate) to be immediately and permanently limited only to emergency service vehicles (siren operated sensor) as originally reported by Two Creeks/Bird Song Apartment complex to Bexar County City officials (David Brewer, Chief Inspector, Fire Marshal's Office) during planning phase.

Ben Davila (San Antonio, 2023-02-02)

#175

I do not want more traffic through the neighborhood!
