I'm signing because this is a much needed service for our community. If we truly intend to help then it's starts within the community and within the minds of its citizens. This mayoral campaign was ran on helping the community. How is stopping help the answer. How can we as a city provide a special exclusion permit for the sale of a rental house but not in the manner of helping actual people? Why is providing therapy a threat to the city? I'm signing this petition because I feel as tho closing and/or even attempting to close such an asset is very distasteful to the community's agenda.

Natchez has a dearth of mental health services for children and adults. I live on N Union St, and I understand this facility has been a home for orphans and other children. While mental care services are different from a simple residence, my understanding is that this facility is providing short-term crisis care for children who urgently need intervention. These are crucial services.

My person is an Urban Planner at the University masters degree level and knows how Zoning is and can be used to hurt or help In Africans Americans communities! It can be used keep us out or in certain situations! The site of Bruce mental health services has always been used by folks providing services to “at risk populations! The present situation is no different! Amend the zoning code, be part of the intervention where much needed social services exists which the city of plantation Natchez is not providing through taxes or mobilization of grants and help!
