We use Skilpad Saal regularly for recreational indoor sports activities.. and have been doing so for many years now. Not only is it one of only a very few all weather facilities available in Kimberley.. but its also very affordable for those in the low income bracket who cannot afford other costly venues. If Skilpad Saal is closed down it will be a tremendous loss to the youth and other recreational sporting organisations in the city.

The De Beers Stadium Indoor facility has been used for various community events over the years and serves as a gathering place for people, destroying it would result in loss of key social space.
The facility also a rich historical or cultural significance for Local community, destroying it would erase a part of the community's heritage.

Health and fitness benefits: The facility provides opportunities for people to engage in physical activity and maintain a healthy lifestyle, destroying it would negatively impact public health.

I am totally against Sol plaatjie Municipality leasing out the wall ...reason being the De Beers stadium is the only athletic facility that is 7sed by various schools where our kids come and train and have ther athletics even me myself growing up made use of the De beers staduim
