It should be there simple as that!

James Constable (Goole, 2023-09-10)

We all must try to keep healthy and having a sport you really enjoy helps a lot, I played squash most of my adult life wherever I could so know the benefits Squash is extremely popular and losing the court would be a disaster for so many. 😞

Sandra Stevenson (Goole, 2023-09-10)

I was born in this area, I care about what happens to the town

Adrian O'Donnell (Roquebrune , 2023-09-10)

#7

It would mean people having to go out of town to Selby.

Sue Benson (Goole , 2023-09-10)

#8

There is no where else in the local area with a squash court, for a few friends of mine this will have a direct impact on their health and well-being if it closes as this is the only sport they partake in, it would be a loss to the local area for the facility to close and squash courts not be available!

Daniella Poyner (Goole, 2023-09-10)

I’m supporting the people of goole who use this facility.

Michelle Bond (Goole, 2023-09-10)

I’m signing because we don’t want to loose this vital space for a sport so many people love!

Victoria Hovelmann (Goole, 2023-09-10)

#15

The leisure centre is a place for all sports and racket sports are an important part of Goole's offering.

Ruth Lowe (Goole, 2023-09-10)

#16

My friend is passionate about playing squash in her home town and I want her to be able to continue doing so.

Joanne Baxter (Selby, 2023-09-10)

#17

I am supporting my friends in Goole who make use of the squash court regulaly

Rachael Steward (Hayes, 2023-09-11)

Squash is a very good physical and mental sport and a very good type of exercise for beginners too gets your heart rate up and good for burning calories also helps with the mind releases endorphins always feel good after a game of squash

Levi Taylor (Goole, 2023-09-11)

#21

In a time where we want people to be more active we shouldn’t be taking away well used facilities and forcing individuals to travel large distances to pursue sports and activities they love…come on surely there’s space for a squash court somewhere within the leisure centre plans

Claire Walsh (Goole, 2023-09-11)

#23

It would be a shame to lose, as like many things in Goole have now gone and will force people to go to other towns and spend money elsewhere.

Emma Clayton (Goole, 2023-09-11)

#25

It is important to the people of Goole and surrounding area to retain a squash court at the leisure centre thus preserving sporting opportunities for the local community.

Samantha Stevens (Goole, 2023-09-11)

#26

I’m signing as the current squash courts are used and we need to increase facilities in the leisure centre but not to the detriment of current facilities.

Elaine Hill (Goole, 2023-09-11)

#29

I'm signing because all sports need to be included not just the ones non playing people suggest. Keep the squash courts!

Jane Walton (Goole, 2023-09-11)

#30

My son played squash a d racketball at Goole, loved it

Catherine Poulton (Gilberdyke, 2023-09-11)

#32

We need to keep a variety of sports available in the town.

Jackie Byers (Goole, 2023-09-11)

#33

I play squash,or at least try to!

Christian Walker (Goole , 2023-09-12)

#34

People of the town want to keep a squash court and why should they not have one

Diane Bland (Goole, 2023-09-12)

#36

I think it is important to not remove any other current sports facilities in Goole with the investments being made. Bad enough we are losing most of our athletics capabilities- let’s not lose this too!

Sarah Broderick (Goole, 2023-09-12)

#38

In support of those who the squash courts

jessica sharp (Goole, 2023-09-12)

#39

These courts have provided enormous fun and wellness to thousands of local people . Squash teams from all over Yorkshire have played there . But most importantly it's a fantastic sport for youngsters to start playing , my own experience has seen a lot of junior players coming from Goole LC courts playing for Yorkshire and have County champions. This opportunity for future players should not be taken away.
Derek Norris Yorkshire county coach.

Derek Norris (York, 2023-09-12)

#41

Squash is a great game for social and fitness

Andy Marshman (Brough, 2023-09-12)

#42

Consultation should take place when it affects the local population’s well being !

Mark Birtles (Howden, 2023-09-12)

#43

Why should squash players get pushed out of town to play? Council will be moaning when they take their use of all other services out of town too because they've found somewhere better!

Clare Mainprize (Goole, 2023-09-12)

#45

It is short sighted by the Council to abolish existing facilities without consulting with the users beforehand to determine a compromise acceptable to both parties.

Norman Prentice (Goole, 2023-09-12)

#46

We need to add to the facilities not replace them

Kerry Walker (Goole, 2023-09-12)

#47

I'm feed up with the way goole is going, it's just another thing we would lose if they don't put a squash court in the new leisure centre, not everyone is keen on a gym

Beverley Hobson (Goole, 2023-09-12)

#48

My partner uses the squash court every week. It would be a shame if there wouldn't be one anymore.

Elizabete Silite (Goole, 2023-09-12)

#49

I'm signing because I love playing squash !

Girts Raibacis (Goole, 2023-09-12)

#50

I am.

Tammy Dowsland (Goole, 2023-09-12)

#51

Im signing because the leisure centre should cater for everybody, and keep all existing facilities in some form. Squash courts are there now and used and should be included in the new plans.

Laura Saunders (Goole, 2023-09-12)

#52

We need to ensure that these facilities remain available to access locally.

In a world that has become sedentary, stay active!

Trudy Cooper (Broomfleet, 2023-09-12)

#53

Losing squash would be a major loss for sport and fitness in Goole, and the reason why myself and many others pay to be a member each month. A squash court is a small requirement relative to the size and investment of the redevelopment.

Kyle Tyson (Goole, 2023-09-12)

#54

Playing squash is a great way to keep fit for people of all ages

Oliver Brennan (Goole, 2023-09-12)

#57

I enjoy playing squash at the leisure centre

Sam Curley (East Yorkshire , 2023-09-13)

#64

The council need to be working with the publics interests including keeping our 400m running track! Stop only choosing what you think you can profit from. This is our town and you should be listening and acting under the publics authority.

Stephanie Betteridge-Gray (Goole , 2023-09-14)

#67

Sport is for all

Jen smith (Goole , 2023-09-14)

#68

For my grandchildren to enjoy

Ann Hill (Goole, 2023-09-15)

#69

Don’t want the town to lose the squash courts and have to travel else where. We don’t have that much as it is.

Sarah Gelder (Goole, 2023-09-16)

#73

It's a leisure centre it should contain as many sporting actives as possible. This should be above a library, soft play, bowling alley etc.

Gemma Shipley (Goole, 2023-09-16)

#74

I play squash at the leisure centre and don’t want this service to be gone.

Gregg Nolan (Goole, 2023-09-16)

#75

Why take away a facility that is used and takes up so little room.

Patricia Stevens (Goole, 2023-09-16)

#76

There should be a squash court in goole leisure centre. Totally unfair to anyone who plays.

Donna Thornton (Goole, 2023-09-16)

#83

The people of Goole need to be heard.

Lydia Seetulboseea (Goole , 2023-09-17)

#84

Why move the library from a perfectly good building, or the council offices to leave empty buildings. A leisure centre needs sporting facilities and to be able to take part in as many different sports possible.

Alyson Shipp (Goole, 2023-09-17)

#88

Goole needs a squash court

Christina Hogg (Goole, 2023-09-17)

#91

bit by bit the sports facilities in Goole are being removed. Removing the squash courts at GLC entirely will deny opportunities for thise wanting to pursue the sport and importantly those wanting to try out squash for the first time.

Karen O'Neil (Goole, 2023-09-18)

#93

To keep in my own town

michaela clark (Goole, 2023-09-21)

#95

It seems unreasonable to take away this facility which is valued by some members of the community

Victoria Taylor (Goole, 2023-09-22)

#96

I play here and enjoy this being so near

Gary Lambton (Goole, 2023-09-23)
