I'm signing because without cash if there system goes down we cannot withdraw money, also I like to have control of my money and have it in a form that I can hold,I do not wish to be controlled by a bunch of people who think they are high and mighty either

Scott Carroll (Gympie, 2023-11-09)

Cash should always be available. We can't rely on the internet, electricity or credit cards. Or the digital dollar.

Scott P (Yandina, 2023-11-09)

With today's shortages, blackouts, hacking,WiFi outages we can NOT do away with CASH. It would not be safe to do so in today's world!
It would send many businesses broke with loss of sales on days efpos is down, our youth would loose the form of working for pocket money, NO Tips for workers, NO coins for homeless. NO treats with Grandparents.
Digital would only add extra costs to all, Businesses & the user, the people. There would be NO winning for anyone going Digital only a form of control, extra costs & added stress none of us need especially with today's added extra living costs!
I DO NOT CONSENT
Let the people have their say!
Thankyou

Linda Wagner (Noosa, 2023-11-09)

I regularly visit Noosa, have since the 70s, and cash simply MUST be kept as legal tender, just look at the previous online payment system failures, bank system errors and the recent Optus blackout. Time to be practical and admit cash is always useable

Boyd Scott (Silkwood, 2023-11-09)

#38

I understand how Fluoride is a toxic waste & is toxic to health. Also, it has been used to obtain occupation of countries, by dumbing down said populations in order to make them easier to manipulate!

Sand Heriot (Walgett, 2023-11-09)

Everyday I am reminded of what a debacle our society becomes when we don’t have cash, or the facility for it to accepted.
Council must respect that not all residents have the means of working on computers, do not trust electronic or ph payments and May spend a long time saving actual cash for the overly large household bills now for household rates, water and insurances. And many residents miss important info because they can’t , ordon’t see info oninternet and on important matters still need a letterbox drop. Believe me, you would be shocked at how many are not “electronic” . And will we ever know I if Optus and Telstracan ever promise that no further national internet out ages won’t occur, and on a regular basis, in the future. Thank you. .

Marie Sulda (Cooroy, 2023-11-09)

Such a no brainer, we need cash to keep circulating for convenience.

Annette Clifford (queensland, 2023-11-09)

#70

Their has to be a non digital currency available for use incase internet and or services go down. The recent Optus outage was a perfect example

I vehemently oppose a digital economy where my transactions will be tracked and controlled. I value my privacy and the ability to choose what i do with my own money

Leona Kirby (Noosaville, 2023-11-09)

#81

Voiding Legal tender would require a Referendum by the Australian People.
Otherwise prepare to face jail sentences without a full and proper simple national vote.

Richard Nowland (Sunshine coast, 2023-11-09)

#82

Cash is still legat tender and the recent internet outages showed how silky one method of paying is .

Peter Hunt (Pomona, 2023-11-09)

#84

I'm signing this because we have a valid and legal currency which can be used whenever we require it.

Debra Locke (Verrierdale , 2023-11-09)

Heather Delabertauche (Sunrise Beach, 2023-11-09)

#96

The Globalist Agenda to rid the world & in this case Australia is wrong. Cash is ‘legal tender’ and needs to remain part of our sovereignty. If Australia abides to going digital it will mean adverse consequences for us all. Noosa Council must take a stand and oppose this global monopoly push. Then hopefully ALL Councils will take the same stand and not comply to this digital agenda & collapse of the banking system & our economy.

Susan McEwen (Noosaville , 2023-11-09)

Susanne Huber (Tewantin, 2023-11-09)

#110

Cash is legal tender and there are too many tech issues

Jodie Videon (Modbury Heights, 2023-11-09)

#115

Free choice to use cash should always be available - I use cash for most of my transactions. It's faster, safer, has no fees attached and its extremely useful when banks or telecos crash.

Jo Searle (Noosaville , 2023-11-09)

#118

We should ALWAYS be given the option to pay cash for a multitude of reasons. Just look at how many times “the system fails” and there are cash only signs at the front of stores. But the big one is the out of control fees banks and other outlets may charge us to use a machine once there is no other option……

Karen Egeskov (Peregian Beach, 2023-11-09)

#119

Cash is king and always will be.

Christina Shaw (Noosaville, 2023-11-09)

#123

Jodie Startari (peregain , 2023-11-09)

#135

All councils should give people the chance to interact and pay with cash.

Carmel Pritchard (Birtinya, 2023-11-09)

#136

The recent Optus outages cause must distress, and this only approve the case we need to keep cash as a viable option.

Sandra Leigh (Peregian Beach, 2023-11-09)

#140

We saw what happened with OPTUS on 8/11/23. Cash MUST be an accepted currency everywhere.

Naomi Brown (Noosa, 2023-11-09)

#143

I believe we need to keep cash alive in society to maintain our freedom and stop the slide into a digital currency and social credit system.

Amanda Dickson (Sunshine coast, 2023-11-09)

#144

The Noosa Council needs to pull its head in and listen to their rate payers.

Simonne Celestine (Black Mountain, 2023-11-09)

#145

As a citizen of this country and ratepayer in this shire it is my right to use cash for payments for all services whenever I choose and not be told that legal tender will not be accepted.

Moosheeba Wendt (Cooroibah, 2023-11-10)

#165

I’m totally against a cashless society.

Alina Anderson (Peregian Springs, 2023-11-10)

#166

Cash is legal tender! It’s our currency and should never be denied it’s use! Cash does not need electricity or internet connection and it continues to flow on through the community! This petition comes in perfect timing after the recent Optus crash disabling 400,000 businesses for over 8 hours! Cash would never get disrupted as an energy exchange for goods or services! The biggest downfall with cash is the now reduced ATMS across Noosa shire making access too cash harder ( all by design ) Noosa Council also needs to consider our aging community not being technologically minded and cash is how they exchange! To stop the use of cash would be a loss of human rights in my opinion!

Kirrily Wood (Noosa, 2023-11-10)

#167

This is very important to me.

Grace Harris (Noosa, 2023-11-10)

#171

I believe in the importance of keeping cash alive in the community. I don’t want my money sitting in a bank with them controlling how I use it. I also totally begrudge them taking a fee for every transaction. I want to be free to self manage my finances.

Michelle Thiele (Cooroy, 2023-11-10)

#173

Cash must always be an option of exchange

Tina Kirkham Smith (Noosa, 2023-11-10)

#178

Cash is King!

Sue Davis (Tewantin, 2023-11-10)

#181

Because if we move towards a cashless society we move towards more surcharges for every transaction and also more data collection about every transaction which will be a loss of freedom

John Dickson (Maroochy River , 2023-11-10)

#182

Cash needs to be around akways. As technology can not be relied upon.

Nicole a Robinson (Valdora, 2023-11-10)

Natalie Trahair (Tewantin, 2023-11-10)
