This is a vital path for transport and tourism and also first emergency services.

I love duck creek road, beautiful little run up to o'reillys great for a day trip. This was my first "Offroad" drive and I remember it fondly, driving from some fairly dry conditions and emerging into rainforest with some amazing views, its down right criminal to not let future generations experience this beautiful track!

I was frequently using it to link customers in those areas.
It's a very long way around without it.
Governance needs to change their attitude towards tertiary roads and ensure that the funding is ready for immediate repairs after damaging events

Duck Creek Road was a great community initiative and not only provides a unique experience and lovely views for visitors (and one of the few remaining gravel tracks immersed in nature), but also serves an important safety need to residents and guests of the O'Riley's area in the event of bushfire or the main road is cut.
Beyond this, the road would enable a far more viable access for staff, or potential staff of O'Riley's who reside in the Kerry area.
It is an absolute disgrace that this road has been boarded up and ignored for such a long time, instead of prompt repairs a number of years ago as soon as practical after the storm damage.
The road should remain community baser, and doesn't need to be acquired by local or state government, but some support from both to get the necessary repairs underway would be the right thing to do - even just from the safety point of view, let alone to support the local economy.

Duck Creek Road is a brilliant four wheel drive track that encourages ecotourism and should be reopened.

I love O’Reilly’s but the trip up makes me car sick. A shorter trip would be a miracle.

1. Huge utility value
2. Heritage value
3. Leisure, training value with low ecological footprint for many 'part time' 4WD drivers and their families and visitors, (who are most often not provisioned for 'serious' offroading).

This road needs to reopen

I have wonderful memories of a week at O'Reilly's with three university friends in 1972. There are so many reasons for the long-overdue reopening of this public road through Lamington National Park.

For access to a very wonderful resource on a very challenging road.

I would love better access to O’Reillys. Also it is a hazard to only have one road in case of fire.

I miss one of the few options to explore this land and reach Oriellys summit. Takes way too long via the dangerous one way road route.

Access for locals and adventure bike riders

I live at Kyogle and I like to stay at O'Reilly's with my family and It is much easier to get up there via Lions Rd and Duck Ck Rd.
