spread awareness

THE PROBLEM: Childhood obesity, childhood obesity is a growing epidemic. Currently, more than 1 in 3 Americans are classed as obese. The percentage of children aged 6–11 years in the United States who were obese increased from 7% in 1980 to nearly 18% in 2012. Similarly, the percentage of adolescents aged 12–19 years who were obese increased from 5% to nearly 21% over the same period.

THE SOLUTION: Spread awareness to parents about the potential health risks that may come with being obese. parents need to limit their child’s time in front of electronics and have their child do more physical activities. although being physical helps a little it’s not going to make your child skinny or help them stay skinny they need to have a proper healthy diet. Eating right and exercising will lower your child weight and lower the possible health risks such as High blood pressure and high cholesterol, Increased risk of impaired glucose tolerance, Breathing problems, and many many more. We need to spread awareness to parents about the risks of childhood obesity and give them information on how to decrease the many risks that come with it.
