Stop the informal squatting / settlement of recyclers in Pierre van Ryneveld

Please assist by voicing your concerns regarding the informal sguatting by waste recyclers that is taking place in the Pierre van Ryneveld area.

Two areas has been identified where uncontrolled recycling activities and squating is taking place. Those are the portions of land on Van Ryneveld Ave next to the Centurion Aerospace Village development as well as on Theron / Kruger Ave next to the Centurion SPCA. These activities has grown in the past couple of months the the extend that it can no longer be ignored. Not only are these people living in ghastly conditiond with no access to basic services but it will also create health issues within this uncontrolled environment.

The matter has been reported to CoT on several occations without any real solutions being implemented. We hereby calls on the CoT Administration to relocate these people to a better place and to uphold the constitutional rights of all citizens to a clean, safe, healty and sustainable environment.
