We Call on Congress to Keep the SBA 7(a) Loan Program Running

As of this Thursday, July 23, the Small Business Adminstration's flagship 7(a) loan program hit its guaranty cap of $18.75 billion. We urge Congress and the President to honor SBA Administrator Maria Contreras-Sweet's request to raise this cap to $22.5 billion so that the SBA can continue to offer 7(a) loans for the duration of 2015. Otherwise, small businesses will be unable to receive billions of dollars in new SBA financing, slowing down economic growth and hiring across the U.S. economy. Please join us in urging Congress and the President to swiftly raise this cap so the SBA can continue offering 7(a) loans to small businesses.
