Our Petition has been submitted - Watch this Space for the date it is tabled at Council Meeting.

Hi Everybody,

Today I submitted our petition to the Yarra Ranges Council at their offices in Lilydale.

At this point it has 1,124 signatures (paper + online).  I expect the Council to notify me about the date of the Council Meeting when it is tabled.

Now is an opportune time to table our petition.

  1. It has a significant number of signatures.
  2. It provides this outgoing Council the opportunity to leave a legacy of a commitment to ‘Rebuild Our Pool’.
  3. It provides the nominees for the incoming Council an opportunity to see what is important to the urban community to garner votes.

Since the online petition is hosted on petitions.net it can continue to gain signatures and be presented to the Council again later.

Regards,

Janis

To everyone who has signed the petition to ‘Rebuild the Kilsyth Pool’ – thank you.

A quick update:

There are three petitions ongoing.

This petition (on Council template) - ‘Rebuild the Kilsyth Pool’ started by me, Janis Floyd, = 412 signatures. It includes a Hard copy petition (on same Council template) – from Kilsyth Festival = 192 signatures.

There are two other petitions:

1.    One petition ‘Save Kilsyth Pool’ started by Rachael Thomas = 632 signatures.

2.    Another petition ‘Save Kilsyth Centenary Pool’ started by Phenix H = 121 signatures.

***If anyone knows Rachael Thomas or Phenix H, please ask them to contact me.  We have a stronger voice to Council if we combine our numbers and work together.

Total = 1367 signatures

Any Yarra Ranges resident can sign this petition to ‘Rebuild the Kilsyth Pool’.  It can include people under 18 years of age (minors & children).

Please ask your children to sign and add a comment in their words. Every signature counts.  Learning to swim and water safety is so important in Australia.

Regards,

Janis Floyd
