ENCROACHMENT FREE AMINABAD LUCKNOW

Lucknow's most popular and the oldest retail and wholesale market is Aminabad Bazaar. It is famous for its wide range of  products at very reasonable prices. Buyers from across Uttar Pradesh throng Aminabad Bazaar for many reasons. Famous shops not only from Uttar Pradesh but from India, selling clothes, readymade garments, jewellery, grocery, crockery, books & stationery, puri, kachauri & jalebi, kebabs, mughlai food, achar & murraba, papad & wadi, sherbet to name a few are all part of #AminabadBaazar for more then 100 years now. Aminabad has one of the biggest wholesale medicine market in India.

Though, being one of the biggest baazar of North India, Aminabad has been neglected for few decades now. One cannot even walk properly because of the of the chaos created due to traffic and congestion in Aminabad Bazaar. There is no parking system in place. Upto 80 feet wide roads in early morning becomes only 20 feet road by 12 in the afternoon. The root cause for traffic and congestion is only because of thousands of unauthorised street vendors, who have encroached upon the roads; Lucknow Nagar Nigam Varendahs that are meant for pedestrians. Historical parks of Aminabad now have become den for gamblers. Drinking of liquor and youngsters having drugs is a common site in these parks.

Due to #Covid19 Lucknow Admistration and Police Commissionerate Lucknow are strictly not allowing any street vendors to operate after the re-opening of Aminabad Bazaar post lockdown 5.O from 1st June, 2020. A Big Salute to LA and PCL. According to experts there can be big a explosion of Covid-19 positive cases if they are allowed to open. Seeing a rapid rise in past few days of Covid-19 positive cases in Lucknow, social distancing norms, guidelines and protocols towards Covid-19 pandemic can be a unimaginable task to implement, by the admistration for these thousands of unauthorised street vendors.

Former Prime Minister of India, Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji, Former President of India Late Shankar Dayal Sharma ji, there early life was a part of Aminabad. They also regularly visited Sunder Singh & Sons, to drink Sunder Singh's famous Khus Sherbet.

Aminabad Baazar should be 100% No Vending Zone in long term also. Please sign this petition so that No Vending Zone is implemented permanently in Aminabad Bazaar.
