FAMU_MSHA_Accreditation

Greetings Family members, Friends, Alumni, Current Students and Supporters,

The FAMU MSHA’s Alumni and Current Student Body recently found out that the MSHA program's administration withdrew the application for accreditation status in December 2013. This means that the master’s degree in which we obtained from FAMUs MSHA program isn’t recognized by many healthcare organizations. It is extremely important to be accredited because many employers want assurance that graduate’s learning and experience properly prepared them for the wide variety of management responsibilities they’ll encounter.  Not being accredited has limited many alumni in obtaining career offers. This also restricts and subjects the graduates of this program to not have the capability to work at any organization we desire. We were promised that the program would be accredited by 2013 from the program’s administration and faculty members. So now that the decision was made to withdraw the application we are asking for your help. Our hopes is that this petition will go before FAMU's newest President on or before April 1, 2014 pleading her assistance to remedy this pressing matter. Please sign this petition to show your support for the FAMU’s MSHA alumni, current students, and feature students.

Best Regards,

The FAMU MSHA Alumni
