Thank you BBC for your 75 years of your Tamil service. We do not mind to move any places in the world. But, the Tamil Osai wouldn't change. Where ever BBC moved the name will be there.

In India have lots of Tamils. If anything will go wrong; they will help BBC in so many ways. Keep the spirit up. Good luck. See you BBC in Delhi!

Dear Puthiyavan (Lanka Listners), Thank you for the nice commets about BBC Tamil Service, a service we all love and respect. However, we fear moving BBC Tamil to Delhi is a precursor to its eventual closure in a few years. BBC Management had tried several times to close Tamilosai in the past. But the Foregin Office of the British Government stopped it from happening. The last attempted closure was not more than 3 years ago. Foreign Office stopped funding BBC World Service (including Tamilosai) from this year. So, when the BBC Management tries to close it Foreign Office will have no say in that matter.

Moving to Delhi will lead to its certain closure, that is our fear.

Dera BBC trustees, what's the rationale behind this decision. Nothing can be justified when there is a threat exists to the indepnedence of journalism. I sincerely hope you all see some sense and brave enough to reverse the decision.

We are horified and shoked to note and even could not dream about BBC Tamil division planning to close the operation from London. we all Indians know BBC through its Tamil Division and Tamil Osai.  If it is changed from London to India it will become one among other Radio chennels and BBC will loose its Brand popularity and BBC Tamil Osai popularity.

the proposal to relocate the BBC Tamil Broadcast to India would never lend the same high and impeccable credibility to the programme which has been its forte all along--please desist from doing this if only for the reputation of BBC itself.

This is important. By relocating to New Delhi, there is no way for the BBC to guarantee that Tamil speakers, especially the Tamil Diaspora will be adequately served.

Furthermore, the BBC also cannot guarantee that Tamil spoken by Eelam Tamils (I refuse to recognise Sri Lanka as it currently exists) will be preserved or promoted, especially since there are far more speakers in the UK than there are in New Delhi.

Finally, I view this proposed move as a way for the BBC to further dilute and restrict news relevant to the Tamil Diaspora, especially news coming out of Tamil Eelam, and inject Hindi into the dialogues, which has absolutely no place among Tamils where they are found.

Tamilosai has been one among the most popular language Broadcast from BBC. It is an institution and listners like me have been listening to the programme from 1972 onwards, I request the management to see the programmes continue for the benefit of the worlds Tamil community.

To save tamil broadcast for tamils and one request why its not telecasted in tamilnadu ,india in cable tv operations and dth services if its telecast in tamilnadu ,u can get very good attention from tamil people in not only tamilnadu throughout the world , u should start ur broadcast in our tamilnadu , we are waiting to watch BBC tamil channel in tamilnadu soon , by telecasting in tamilnadu only u can get very.
