Its not like they will even be able to police this if it is passed... It's like the whole thing about when they wanted everyone to hand in their guns and a few months later it was uncovered as it being an illigal move yet no compansation.... The people passing this should look at all aspects and then weigh the risks. They will be putting houndreds of people out of their lively hoods, which is going to increase the unemployment rate which in the long run will increase the crime rate. Think of all the results that your actions will bring.

This is affecting so many lives, people that love and care for these animals as well as those going around educating and growing a love for nature and animals. These animals such as boas, tarantulas, scorpions and iguanas are used at my school to educate the youth of today.

Please do proper research on all exotic that the provinces want to ban or get permits for... Some teuly will never even have a fighting chance on the wild. will not repopulate with any indigenous animals and cause no harm

This is outrageous how could they do this it's so unsafe plus its cruel to ' to 'euthenaze' the poor things we are helping the population of the exotic reptile I bet it's just another way for them to steal money from us ' for the permits '

The pets that I own aren't just pets to me, they family and I love each one that I own very much. And this legislation has had no proper thought into it? What person is really going to give up there pets that they paid for up to just be euthanized? What about the animal cruelty law?? Because this is just cruel, why put a healthy animal down?

I agree with the strategy of a permit system being properly entrenched for control purposes but to euthanize loved pets is cruelty. My family and kids would be devastated if such a tragedy had to become a reality in our lives.

This will stimulate black market trade and generate crime...

These animals are our babies as much as our children are. My kids love and are extremely attached to them. They give so much joy to a family and are easier to keep than cats and dogs. There are so many dogs that are neglected ans illtreated, maybe that is where all this focus should go. Exotics are kept securely and do not pose any threat or danger. Dont take our right to choose away. We have the right to choose these beautiful creatures.

Some species restrictions make sense, but most are crazy and much too late to be implemented in hindsite, now affecting hundreds of people

I as a exotic animal collector feel this Legislation is very unfair on the exotic pet trade and for collectors in general. I see it as only a way for the government to make more money out of us for nothing.

All snakes should be legal in Southern Africa.

Please direct your resources somewhere else! Where they are much needed! Taking away peoples jobs, incomes etc is a bigger impact than the impact you will be making by asking us all to get permits.

I would also like to know how you would implement this.... knock on every households door and ask "Hi there, do you own a corn snake?"
