I see the burst water pipes all over Germiston, don't waste your time reporting it, as 2 years later, the one near Rand Airport is still running. We need a change. this can't continue half a billion a year in Ekurhuleni alone in lost water due to burst water pipes. Think what could be done with this wasted money.

A friend sold her house in Kensington last year. She sold it easily at a good price to a lady who is the secretary to someone at the Ekurhuleni Council. Whomever her boss is is not the mayor or a major councillor, but she, as a secretary, was earning R90 000 per month. I used to be a PA / Secretary to far more important industrial people than she is, and never earned anything like that amount. If a mere secretary can ear R90 000 per month, imagine what her bosses are earning. It is not justified, especially with the mismanagement of finances and corruption in the Municipality. As rate payers, we are paying for people's unwarranted over-inflated salaries, and we are not getting the services that we should be getting for our rates. It is time somebody put a stop to this profligacy with our money.

I'm concerned that this water crisis will also be played down by the ANC government and that we will be hearing excuses and blame cast elsewhere just like the electricity crisis.

Because I'm tired of people being paid exorbitant salaries for jobs they cannot or won't do.

I m confident that the responsible authorities are neglecting adequate planning and action steps needed to stay on top of the water situation and I want to protest at their delinquency.

I believe in residents' constitutional right to good, clean water for drinking, cooking and cleaning. Humans are not animals.

To try and get South Africa back to the good standard it was in before Zuma took over. Water is the one thing we cannot do without. We cannot survive without water. Also tired of people not doing their jobs and being paid exhorbitant salaries.

As a taxpayer I feel the government at all levels should be.held accountable for basic services, tired of paying for uselessness.
