Education should not be free. If you pay for it you appreciate and work towards your bursary and degree.

I am a full paying parent of a NMMU student and he is being with held from his education.
I feel violated as why can the majority of students be kept from education when most of the protestirs are not even registered students.

We need to build a future not break down what we have. If youbdont have self respect and pride you dont deserve education at all.

Students who want to study should not be intimidated by violence.

What about the rest of us ? Thank god the silent majority is finally taking initiative, preparing for higher education is not something prepared a year prior to it, it's something included in future plans since one started their basic education career. Therefore provisions were supposed to be put in place since that very day. It's unfair to depend on everyone but yourself to become a success and it's definitely unfair to disadvantage the students who are willing to make sacrifices to study just to prove a point. Future lawyers and doctors are the ones going about the situation in the wrong way, instead of trying to find a solution in a civil manner they're destroying the very resources they need. Please get us back into lecture halls so we can complete what we started.

My daughter is a student at Nmmu. The current feesmustfall campaign is violating her right to education. I am paying for her education and demand Nmmu to do their part.

This is most definitely a fact and should not be tolerated whatsoever. Life is hard as it is.

Nmmu must act to save 2016 academic year. They must resume activities without delay. They majority of students are not in favour of the current situation.

my children's degrees should not be jeopardised by an extremely small minority of students . I also believe that the university needs to fulfill their contractual obligation to provide the education that I AM paying for

We are supposed to be a democratic country. How can the very few hold the majority to ransom. In a true democracy that would be considered an act of terrorism which is treason.

I am totally against the way the protestors use violence and not consider the democratic right of our kids to study. We are not rich parents and borrow money to send our child to study.it cant be wasted

It's an absolute disgrace that those students who are committed and want to write exams and get a qualification are not been allowed to!

Everyone has a right to be educated

My son is at NMMU and it costs me a lot of hard earned money as well as loans, as we do not qualify for bursaries etc.
The university accepted my money and should therefore see that my son has his right to study protected

I do feel for the students who are unable to afford the fees. I am a 60 year old male earning a small wage and have to cut corners to make ends meet and I cannot allow my son to sit at home and not being able to attend classes. We also have a stake in this matter and as a paid up student, my son has the right to the education that has been paid for.
