Too many animals dying a horrible death by thugs thinking it's ok to put a firework in the poor mites mouth. Animals have been injured, their health is affected by the excessive noise and there is no one doing anything about it ... Time to WAKE UP IRELAND and prosecute those who think this is ok??!

#4 you cannot ban the products of a legitimate industry but Gardai need to enforce already existing law

It is illegal to buy or sell these items to unlicensed people but it can't be banned altogether because there are individuals licensed in the carriage, use and rigging of class 1 explosives for legitimate reasons ie: events, theatre. large fireworks require an ADR but stage pyro or small fireworks can be handled by someone certified in class 1 explosives. A petition for prompting the gardai to actually enforce the law would be more beneficial. There were a lot of adds on facebook selling fireworks by unlicensed individuals this year yet I heard nothing about investigations or prosecutions.
