Inshallah Allah knows best, this world is becoming nasty and cruel when it comes to belief in God almighty,we do not relise that in todays world we are moving away from religious practices into worldly gain, these are all signs of the day of jugdement which is not close by.May the allmighty save us from this wrong doings.Religious practices in all religions should be honoured and respected because it brings man closer to good,What are we doing now,Are we getting closer to God or to the Fire?.........Inshallah

Fair, why are other organisations allowed to ring the bell at 6am and we cannot give the Adhaan for our
call for prayer.
In Lenasia, the temple also reads on the mike at 6am
on a Sunday too, when all are resting.

Well I guess that's what this country has come to. Abolish everything that is right and corruption will strive.

The response by all in support of defending the Adhaan is truly admirable. Having been closely associated to this community for many years, I am certain that there are non-Muslim families who would defend the Adhaan along with their Muslim neighbours. Whatever route we take please let us please be graceful and respectful. If possible please let us find a way to have a dialogue with those that are objecting in the interest of lending understanding to the importance of the Adhaan. This would ensure that the entire community Muslim and non- Muslim establish a genuine respect and that this objection against the Adhaan be buried forever.

For starters, the Jamiat Gauteng's address is: admin @ thejamiat.co.za and NOT jamiatgauteng @ yahoo.co.za, as per the Petition24 invite!

That is sufficient to cast suspision on the source and intent of the petition.

Where has the tolerance for other peoples faiths gone? The generation who live there now had their parents there before them living harmoniously with the muslim community, now that people are moving away from faith and toward material, we find intolerance. The mosque has been there longer and will continue the call of prayer.

The Government must just concentrate on running the country and leave us to practice our religions freely. What they want to do in Riverlea is against our human rights.

South Africa is a democratic country and all religions should enjoy equal respect and that applies for Islam aswell. Muslims should be allowed to pratice their religion in harmony.

The petition does not contain any info concerning The Jamiat Gauteng, its obvious that there is some mistake.

Please sent the petition invite which has the Jamiat address on to  religion.voice@gmail.com , we will check and respond thereafter.

South Africa out of all countries in the world!!! People died for freedom... Freedom of speech, no racism etc... now??? No one mentioned that freedom of religion is not allowed and this is a major part of our religion. Again Muslims are targeted... Funny how Pirates and rebels can get away with killing people daily and the world knows where they are and they still doing it, and no one in the world is even trying to do something about it!!!! I stand for Islam and will die for Islam... Allah Hoe Akbar!!!!

If anything, the Adthaan is soothing and comforting to listen to, which many non muslims will agree with. This is clearly work of Shaytaan
