This restaurant is not only a great place for food and lovely service, but it's also a good looking place! it's clean, it's well designed and looks fresh. How someone could feel it is an eyesore is beyond me. There's far worse "eyesores" to look at in the area.

It makes me sad that there even needs to be a petition for this! Has the world gone crazy?

The restaurant provides some exquisite food and should not have to tolerate such behaviour

If people like these losers would use their time and energy for positive and worthwhile causes rather than causing animosity within a community, they would probably be a lot happier in their sad lives. Good luck Pomegranate.

Much as I would like to see the original buildings restored ( see Wiliam Street in the West end) this is half a century too late.... All the businesses in this part of town have signage, lighting, Menu boards - nothing new there, and all fairly tastefully done. Use commonsense Council !

Ridiculous notion from Edinburgh planning dept. again.... Best of luck, your restaurant hardly looks offensive! In fact it looks most welcoming, and embraces Edinburgh's cosmopolitan nature. Good luck!

Pomegranate is a sophisticated restaurant that is a wonderful addition to the local community.

Having walked down this street many times, I am amazed the Council is behind this ridiculous action: the lighting and signage at Pomegranate is no more controversial than on other listed buildings in the area (in fact, I'd say less so...).

I think the person complaining needs to open their eyes and see the real issues on their doorstep rather than taking issue with a sign and menu boards that are in my opinion very nice to look at compared to some of the not so desirable sights in Edinburgh, GOOD LUCK!!

This is a great little restaurant and I cannot understand why anyone would have an objection to it.

I live in a listed building half way down Leith Walk, and am keen to conserve the area. I see far more intrusive and out of place buildings than this one. Please allow the business to survive, we don't need any more empty premises

Such a shame that this business is being picked on for what seems to be an absolutely pathetic reason,I hope they can keep the signage,it's lovely &colourful:-):-)

Racisim in any form has no place in todays society. Shame on Edinburgh City Council. Good luck with your petition
