People need to make a honest living and these people are doing that. The people who have complained about them seem racist and have some type of hatred towards these people !! I think they are doing great with there buisness and think something like there advertisement billboard is a eye catching and looks nice ! No need to remove it, Infact it's stupid to remove it

Lovely restaurant great food and most friendly staff. Decor is fantastic how any one can find it offensive is beyond me!!!!!! The owners have worked extremely hard to run this business and they should not be punished for the views of some very silly, jealous and childish individuals!

Having visited both restaurants in the past the standard of food, service and decorations etc is nothing short of fantastic. Whoever this neighbour is needs to have a word with themselves, ridiculous!

There are many facades in Edinburgh which deserve condemnation and Pomegranate is not one of then.

I have never had the opportunity yet to eat in your establishment, I hope to in the future. I am disgusted at the behaviour you have had to endure.

I am so sorry to hear that Pomegranate has been facing such a campaign of harrassment. I cant see any problem with the their outside lighting and signage. The restaurant and its staff are great, why are they having to take such action, it seems so wrong.

The behaviour of the one neighbour who has complained is clearly a personal grudge, harassment and blatant racism against the owners. Restaurants have been on these sites for as long as I can remember and it has never been a problem before. The owners are hardworking people who run their own business. Nothing about either site is offensive. This makes me even more determined to eat at Pomegranate and Hannams. The fact the authorities have served a notice is a joke. It's the neighbour who should be punished. Not the restaurant owners.

Lovely restaurant with acceptable normal frontage. I hope they continue just as they are. If there is a problem with anything the council should give them advice to resolve it. I think it looks great and is an asset to the area!

Something with the complaints is very suspicious. Our city is multi cultural and we are proud of that. This sounds like harassment of another culture to me and should not be upheld and discredited.

Pomegranate is an enhancement to the local area, and far from an eyesore. I live locally and know there are many places nearby with far more intrusive signage and lighting and that attract a rowdier crowd. This smacks of deliberate racist targeting. Shame on CEC for giving in to prejudice.

Can someone post a contact for the council? That way everyone can complain directly.

I find this sort of racist behaviour abhorrent. A very successful restaurant such as Pomegranate only adds to Edinburgh's wonderful multi-culture. We can do without petty minded bigots in our society. Everyone has a right to conduct business without the fear of hostility .

My partner and both love this restaurant. Amazing food, service and staff. How dare someone target you. Stay strong.
