The signage and lighting for Pomegranate restaurant is completely in-keeping with the surrounding businesses. It is inexplicable to single out this much loved restaurant.

There is nothing vulgar or offensive about any of the frontage to this restaurant. Leave it be.

This sounds like typically 'Nimby' Edinburgh behaviour, but with a sinister twist....

This restaurant, the name and the building and undoubtably the food.....look amazing!Even on the other side of the world....just from images,it makes my mouth water and wish I could book a table for all my friends....please open your minds and bring the world to your community....give these people chance to shine some good in the world as I am sure they do!

Good luck. I think your signage is elegant and inviting and in no way out of keeping with anything else in the area - a definite improvement on Ferri's, if I may say so.

Edinburgh City Council should consider the racial overtones to this campaign against the restaurant. The motives of the complainant merit very close scrutiny. Pomegranate is a delightful asset to the city restaurant scene, a friendly and interesting place to eat

I live in the neighbourhood and think that Pomegranate is a beautiful establishment - not an eyesore by any stretch of the imagination.

I love it - please never change.

There is a shop over road from my house with the ssame lighting and it doesn't affect my family in any way, so don't see how it can affect someone living above it. As for the colour of the building it is lovely and well cared for unlike some building up Leith Walk

I disagree 100 percent with this person and cannot believe this is going on in 2013. This is a wonderful restaurant with lovely staff and great food and part of the local community.

I think it's great how many people have signed so far, the behaviour of the ignorant should not be rewarded by forcing you to change anything about your business. A particular Italian eatery also in Leith has their national flag on display - they are not penalised! Another city centre one has French writing all over the window and they are quite successful! Your patrons love your service, the open minded and Educated are not offended by you - good luck!

There are half a dozen restaurants on the same street with more prominent signage. Ridiculous complaint.

This sounds too ridiculoous for words. The Council should have a look around and do their job properly not concentrate on such nonsense. I cannot believe that this is even an issue. Edinburgh city council ought to be ashamed of themselves. Racist

Fine food at reasonable prices - it is difficult not to suppose that the problems this restaurant faces are as much to do with the very real competition it provides to the tired Italian diners around it, as bureaucratic inflexibility. Don't cross the Edinburgh mafia.

I have visited Edinburgh, and used to live in Great Britain. Edinburgh has a lot of character and atmosphere. The front of the Pomegranate Restaurant is actually very pleasing and suits the character of the city. Suspect the complaints have nothing to do with the esthetics however, which is very sad.
