I think we have the right to keep what ever animal we want to without having a law state which one. So long as we treat these animals with the best care they require and are loved we should be able to have them.Rather concentrate on the poachers that poach animals just to kill them! For their horns or fur.So my vote is against telling us what we may and may not keep. :)

They are such nice animals, what did they do to you to deserve this. Animals are all innocent. It's the humankind that are cruel to them, and some people try to help the animals. So leave them alone!!!

Has Natcon thought about1) the number of jobs lost in the pet trade industry? 2) have they really done this with the best interest of the pets who now will probably just get slaughtered and killed inhumain manner? 3) Why not stop poaching as a whole and selling of camelions and tortoises on the Sun City road?  Who is really behind this th SPCA?

Who are these "decision makers" to decide what other people may or may not love and keep? These animals, NOT aliens, have loving homes and the people who care for or breed with them know what they are doing. How would these decision makers feel if everything they've ever cared for were taken away simply because "someone" doesnt agree? Some of these people involved with these animals are intrigued and amused by them, they study them and CARE for them some cant live without them. Its just a way of life for some people and I would want who ever this is that wants to take it away to just back off - I bet its enouhg to make someone go out of their minds! DO NOT take it away from them!

All species of animals need all the protection they can get from whatever source. Gandhi said that you can measure a government by the way it treats and protects it's animals animals! Let this be a lesson learnt by all governments of the world!

There are seriously more important issues to be worrying about. Surely if a person have these reptiles in their possession they are looking after them? and in many cases making sure that they are around for a lot longer than if they are just left to "run wild" where fearful people will kill them.

the people who want to enforce these laws should worry about more important issues in this country. save the rhino, stop sending them to botswana. how are they going to monitor roaches and worms. fools.

when this ignorant country fixes the poaching of our indigenous animals and the crime that affects all of us then maybe they can think of doing something as idiotic as banning exotic pets!
