We have already registered for a trip during February, 2012. We will not miss the cruise because the trip was cancelled by the school board when they changed the calendar.

Don't worry, I won't be changing my plans either.  I will take my kids out of school in September 2011 for the cruise that I booked 3 weeks ago.  It is absolutely ridiculous that they decide to change the calendar less than 6 months away.  The decision for the balanced calendar was for 3 years and they should have waited for the 3 years before making an assessment, period.
