Opposed to Closure of Lane

Artarmon School has applied for acquisition of the only safe laneway (Abbot lane), off Barton Rd Artarmon which is used by the elderly, disabled and the community as a whole to have safe access to shops and their own homes.

We know its a matter of greed on their (the schools) part because they have been approved a $3,200,000 grant to build a library and upgrade staff/admin refurbishment under the Govt scheme p21 programme.   As a result  the new buildings have taken over their playground space, they now want to take the lane for them as well to the deprivation of all who use the lane, meaning the disabled and elderly has to go down the hill and through a very congested lane used by vehicles and very unsafe at all times.
Please do not let greed take over deprivation of safety and thoughtfulness for the frail community,  the workers who access this lane and the tenants who live next to the lane as a whole.
