Petition for Sabaton to write a song about Australia's war on emus

Did you ever hear about the Great Emu War? Due to thousands of emus raiding farmlands in Western Australia the country carried out a military operation against its own national bird in late 1932... with very little success. Around 10,000 rounds of ammunition were used to hunt down the animals. However, the three soldiers performing the operation only managed to kill a mere 1,000 of the 20,000 emus that were said to roam around freely, emerging as the loser of the "war" as it was proclaimed by the Australian media.

Funny story, right? So when I recently sat down with a friend and a couple of beers while watching videos covering this story, I thought to myself: "Man, Sabaton need to write a song about this". Because who would be better suited for this project than the probably most popular war-themed metal band on the planet?

So if you, like me, relish the idea of a band like Sabaton singing about emu warfare, just join this petition and spread the word, and maybe we can make it happen!

PS: The motivation behind this petition is by no means to promote animal cruelty or such, but simply to get the band to write, record and hopefully release an epic piece of music about a war on emus ;)
