Public Petition of Easing the Access Restrictions in Mbizana Town for People who need to get essential needs/services

The Community of Mbizana has an outcry about the restrictions that are put by Municipality Authorities and Police which hinders them to access the town to get essential needs. Public citizens are subjected to intergorrations,intimidations about their  right to access pharmacies, clinics, food shops and other essential services as proclaimed in Disaster Management Act.

The purpose of this public  petition is to ask authorities to ease some of the bylaws that they have implemented that are not stipulated in the  Dister Management  Act, without compromising their application of the law where it is deemed to be necesaary. We understand the duty that is bestowed upon them. We also urge them to be effective  in guiding, comforting, and informing the community about this pandemic and the safety measures that were pronounced by the President to flattern the curve.

We hope that this will help the elderly, sick and vulnerable people who  need to access the medical, food, banking facilities. We support the government call for everyone to stay at home to break the chain of transmission during this lockdown. We can work together and defeat this common enemy!
