Justice is blind to the colour of skin, religion, gender or political status of individuals. Mr. Lukashenko's track of the criminal activity goes back to the 1990's when he began to physically eliminate his political opponents and suppress basic human rights and freedoms in Belarus and continues today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IL6rMikkJg&feature=youtu.be; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhdCfXilD4o
According to the Rome Statute, the ICC can only intervene where a State is unable or unwilling genuinely to carry out the investigation and prosecute the perpetrators. Today, the state of Belarus with its ruthless authoritarian regime, its President and numerous officials in all branches of the government, legal, executive and legislative, are unable and unwilling to not only provide security and justice to the citizens of the country but repeatedly condone those crimes.
In the most recent violent acts against peaceful demonstrators, when at least 6 people have been confirmed killed by the government forces, and dozens injured, tortured, not one criminal investigation against those who committed such acts of violence has been initiated in the criminal courts of Belarus. Because of this, it is the responsibility of the ICC to intervene and bring to justice those responsible for the crimes against the Belarusian people and humanity.

Lukashenko is not the president of our country any more. And never was. He keeps his place illegally. He made lots of cruel things to us, peaceful Belorussians. He should be punished.

This violence must be stopped! We are free people and we want to be heard! Today there are repressions everywhere: you should not walk in a company, you should not wear white and red clothes, you should not go outside, you should not ding or dance. Our independence is stolen. My personal freedom is stolen

I’m signing because I’m tired to see Belarusians prisoned and tortured for no lawful reason. I can’t peacefully protest, I can’t vote and be sure that my vote won’t be shredded and thrown away. I can’t be sure that all my friends, relatives and nation is safe while this regime is active. There is no working law and justice. It works as it said by the government, not by constitution. People are chased at streets, at home, at the office by military workers. Please stop this Middle Ages in 2020 in Belarus.

Потому что Беларусь достойна свободной, честной, открытой демократии. Вместо затянувшейся уже более 26 лет автократии Лукашенко.

I sign because I want peace, I want to go out into the streets without fear, I don’t want to hear the frightened crying of children when people with weapons grab unarmed people, I want to freely express my opinion. I want to live, not survive, after 6 years of higher education I want to go to work with decent wages, and not prove that I am not a parasite, when there is continuous nepotism in the country and it is impossible to get a job. I want our grandparents to receive a good pension, not an increase in the retirement age. I want Belarus to be an independent country, without violence and genocide!
