This issue has happened to me and it was frightening. We need to be able to switch it off without the complex process and having to repeat this process every time you restart.Richard Bellero (Cairns, 2021-11-27)

I want an IDAS updateIn addition, I believe that Isuzu are breaching Australian design regulations with steering design as referred in the below regulations specifically section 5.1.6

It's an absolute pain to turn these settings off each time the Ute is turned on again. East to forget and hard to explain to other drivers on how to turn the settings off when towing big loads.Ben Butler (Epsom, 2021-11-28)

I’m signing because I tow a van and being able to turn off the IDAS with a one button press is so convenient. I hope it is just a software change that can incorporated in the MY21Ian Spencer (Baldivis, 2021-11-29)

Because IDAS is so dangerous on narrow country roads that I drive dailySam Brown (Strathfieldsaye, 2021-11-29)

I own a Mazda BT50 (D’Max variant) that has exhibited the same issues as stated in the petition and believe it to be a safety risk to myself and my family. When I test drove the vehicle the sales person turned all these features off so as not to have audible warnings etc activate.Mitch Forester (Toukley , 2021-12-04)

I want the comfort of knowing while we are travelling Australia with our van that an automatic turn off is installed in our 2022 model and we are safe. This is actually really concerning us and I'm considering cancelling our orderAnnette Newton (Nebo, 2021-12-04)

I'm concerned by safety systems being built into new cars that have serious safety concerns. I tow a caravan & although mostly when on highways I drive to the speed limit, some "cowboy" truck drivers insist on driving within 2m of my van - there is no safety margin.Warren Charlton (Townsville, 2021-12-14)

I'm sick and tired of having to go into the menu to turn everything off when towing a van. Every two hours! It also becomes dangerous to forget to turn it off as you have to fight the vehicle when you want to move out of the centre of the lane when a truck overtakes etc. New Gen MUX.Mark Wilkins (Avoca Beach, 2022-02-08)

I agree that the IDAS is dangerous and should be able to be disabled or default values selected automaticallyRobert Westaway (Kiama, 2022-04-24)

IDAS system forces the control of steering against the drivers control. This is very frustrating when trying to drive on country roads and manoeuvre around pot holes.
I have only owned the vehicle for days and feel like I should've bought a different vehicle.
The automatic headlights high beam is another frustrating and useless system.

I have a new 2023 Dmax X Terrain and the IDAS is a very dangerous feature. I have had the emergency collision avoidance activate for no good reason many times and it is only a matter of time before a serious accident occurs from this . I will use any other vehicle I have to take my kids anywhere before using this vehicle, I wish I had never purchased it . The driver needs to be able to turn all this off and have it STAY off until such time that they may want it turned on , not have to do it every time the car is started . I have contacted Isuzu Australia asking to have all this disconnected permanently and they are not interested in helping . Only a matter of time before an innocent road user is killed by this system.David Trevor (Mackay , 2023-05-14)
