Prevent RZM2022-00039

The lot is too small to support the requested number of townhomes, and the amount of traffic added at the intersection would be significant.

Charles Hardt (Dacula, 2023-02-02)

#202

The traffic on Auburn Road is too congested all the time now. There are so many accidents near Fort Daniel Elementary due to the volume of cars. It’s ridiculous to even consider homes on the corner of 124 and Auburn Road. There is always 4 lanes of traffic where the proposed entrance and exit is which would be ludicrous to add! Please stop the insane overcrowding going on in Gwinnett County!

Angie Barrett (Dacula, 2023-02-02)

#203

I am opposed to High Density in our area. It is not sustainable and will create more hardship in our area that is already getting overwhelmed.

Jennifer Franklin (Lawrenceville , 2023-02-02)

#204

Object the rezoning

Adrian Lupu (Dacula, 2023-02-06)

#210

The area does not need more congestion until the roads are updated to be able to contain a higher population.

Amanda McClain (Dacula, 2023-02-28)

#211

Saying No to towhomes

Shantiba Williams (DACULA, 2023-03-01)

#212

It is extremely congested and unsafe driving too many accidents and fatalities

Mona Hackett (Buford, 2023-03-02)

#213

I strongly agree with the reasons put forth in the petition.

Carol Atkinson (Dacula, 2023-03-03)

#214

To deny project that would increase density in 4/10 mile of auburn rd. Cause more accidents and traffic. Exiting my community is already difficult due to traffic.

Amparo Soto (Dacua, 2023-03-04)

#215

This is already a high traffic/high accident area. Townhomes do not fit in in this area.

Alice Mathews (Lawrenceville, 2023-03-05)

#216

The over growth in this area is very troubling.
We, Apts, Townhomes, within 1/2 in either direction of my home. The roads are not able to handle the local traffic, so we don't need to add more to this area, we are crowded.

Patricia Wickline (Dacula, 2023-03-05)

#217

I live very near this area right off of Hwy 324 (Auburn Rd) and the traffic on hwy 324 is already way too heavy and it makes it very difficult and dangerous for us to get out of our Belfaire neighborhood. So, I’m not in favor of more development in the area. I’m concerned about the extra traffic and concerned that our roads, our schools and our community aren’t going to be able to handle and serve more developments in this area.

Kimberly Diego (Dacula, 2023-03-05)

#219

This will impact traffic on a road that I use every day that is already congested. It takes two to 3 turn signal cycles and about 5 min to turn left from Braselton into Auburn road some times during the day. It’s not normal to wait 5 min at a traffic light.

Katinka Heyns (Dacula, 2023-03-05)

#222

It is so very dangerous and difficult to turn left onto Hwy 324 from Hwy 124 at the Kroger intersection and it is dangerous to turn left out of our subdivision Daniel Park onto Hwy 324 due to all the congestion on both these roads. Adding new subdivisions and high density housing makes these roads even more congested and dangerous. I have been rear ended twice outside my subdivision due to bumper to bumper traffic. Please protect the families in this area by denying these rezoning requests.

Maile Steimer (Dacula, 2023-03-05)

#226

I am opposed to RZM2022-00039. This area is already too crowded and congested. Our infrastructure won't support it. Additionally, it will create a traffic nightmare in an area that already has bad traffic.

Charles Ward (Dacula, 2023-03-05)

#229

Auburn Road is already extremely dangerous and this will make it even worse.

Faye Cone (Dacula , 2023-03-05)

#231

Adding a development near Daniel Park (the neighborhood that I live in, will only increase traffic more. There have been too many accidents outside of our neighborhood, including a recent fatal crash. It’s already extremely difficult to turn into and/or out of the neighborhood at most times of the day, not only rush hour!

Nichole Schweitzer (Dacula, 2023-03-05)

#233

Saying No to the rezoning application

Tammy Oyer (Dacula, 2023-03-05)

#234

If You care about family and air quality.Safety in a congested area.Heritage being destroy for the old mighty dollar. Then you as a human should stop these discussion on putting another area of homes/condos ,apartments to dump traffic onto roads, that have already became deadly Due to over populated and traffic that is a crawl to get home or work. Why would Architect of people who does live in a area have rights to just buy out and plan homes for an area that already has an area that works with what it has.Stop this building of destruction for the sake of life.

Julie Powell (Dacula, 2023-03-05)

#235

I disagree with the rezoning and development of this property.

Amanda Panos (Buford, 2023-03-05)

#237

This area is too congested as it is with the houses that are already built.

Annette Mol (Dacula, 2023-03-05)

#240

I live in Daniel Park and traffic is already horrible. It's too dangerous to evwn use the front entrance of our neighborhood.

Jeanine Kennedy (Dacula, 2023-03-05)

#246

Auburn Road is not the place for a high density development.

Janelle Rushin (Dacula, 2023-03-05)

#247

I will NEVER be able to exit my neighborhood with the amount of traffic another huge development.

Jacob Mercer (Dacula , 2023-03-05)

#249

I do not want the land rezoned for traffic and safety concerns

Chris Kennedy (Dacula, 2023-03-05)

#250

I did not buy a home in a gated community to live next to townhomes.

Art Munoz (Hoschton , 2023-03-05)

#253

I oppose this high density development. It is a bad fit for this intersection.

Larry Wilkerson (Buford, 2023-03-05)

#256

The Buford and Dacula areas are already overcrowded for our infrastructure. Continuing to build these high density and rental developments in suburban areas is destroying the beautiful communities, safety, schools, etc. Traffic is becoming a nightmare with no clear plans on how that will ever be addressed.

Dana Hildebrandt (Buford, 2023-03-05)

#257

We need smart growth not spot zoning….with the middle school and elementary school tying up the intersection during busy times the last thing we need is a high density development.

Mitchell Lavender (Buford, 2023-03-05)

#260

I am fully against rezoning at corner of HWY 324/HWY 124, Case Number: RZM2022-00039. Traffic is so bad now that we are overcrowded on the two lane roads trying to leave home & return. Please do do change zoning.

Tommie Isom (Dacula, 2023-03-06)

#262

I am protesting the proposed development of housing on the corner of Auburn Road/ hwy 124.

Patti Agee (Dacula, 2023-03-06)

#264

This area is already overpopulated. The traffic is ridiculous. The roads, schools, parks and infrastructure are not able to support the current population much less an additional large influx this proposal would bring.

Judith Rocha (Dacula, 2023-03-06)

#266

I oppose this new development. Traffic in the area & especially, that intersection, is already very congested. More homes & more cars

Mike Kennedy (Buford, 2023-03-06)

#267

The traffic congestion on Auburn Road is already very heavy. This development would add to an already bad situation.

Richard Hudson (Dacula, 2023-03-06)

#268

I'm signing this petition to say NO to rezoning in regards to RZM2022-00039. We do not need any more additional traffic in the Hamilton Mill and Hog Mountain area due to the increasing car accidents and dangers around so many intersections from congestion.

Shinlee Wang (Dacula, 2023-03-06)

#269

RZM2022-00039 I vote no.

Serea Williams (Dacula , 2023-03-06)

#270

We already have too much volume on our street and this was make things worse.

Keith Barrett (Dacula, 2023-03-06)

#272

I live in a neighborhood next to this area. Traffic is already unbearable and sometimes it can take over 5 minutes just to safely exit the neighborhood. There have been many accidents here because when traffic is backed up it becomes impossible to see around it to safely enter or leave the roadway. The addition of these properties will drastically increase the traffic in an already heavily trafficked area.

Charles Parker (Buford, 2023-03-07)

#273

There is too much traffic to make this viable.

Charles Parker (Buford, 2023-03-07)

#274

Very concerned because of dense traffic situation at intersection of 124 and 324, many accidents, several street turns left and right into individual properties and subdivisions. This will make an already difficult situation impossible to navigate.

Suzanne Pic (Buford , 2023-03-07)

#275

I am against Rezoning the neighborhood.

Hashaan Rosenbaum (Dacula, 2023-03-07)

#276

I am opposing the development of case # RZM2022-00039

Michael Agee (Dacula, 2023-03-07)

#277

I wholeheartedly believe that adding anymore development along this already "stressed" corridor, will further degrade our neighborhood and others neighborhoods citizens quality of life. Traffic congestion and safety has been and continues to be an absolute nightmare.

OLIVER STROEHMANN (DACULA, 2023-03-08)

#278

Please no more residential buildings; traffic is horrible and dangerous.

Avery Hise (Dacula, 2023-03-08)

#279

I'm a resident at Daniel Park Neighborhood. and quality life got imacted badly after opening the new 118 exit at I85. which retoute all traffic to GA324. it is a real challenge and danger to get my son to Fort Daniel Elementary School becasue of the unbelievable traffic in the morning. I was about to have accident 3 times in the last 2 months only.

Ehab Mikhael (DACULA, 2023-03-08)

#280

I’m signing because it is extremely dangerous and I am unable to get out of my subdivision with all of the new construction going on in the area. There is wear and tear on the streets and the city and county cannot keep up with the accommodations for community members living in the area. Run down streets pipes that are not repaired. Sidewalks not repaired. No stop lights or roundabouts to create a safe environment.

Anna White (Dacula, 2023-03-08)

#281

I’m opposed to the development of the townhomes or any additional residential construction for this area.It is unsafe for families and anyone else walking in the community.

Undra Robinson (Dacula , 2023-03-08)

#282

I’m signing this petition because I oppose the County’s plan to build townhomes on this parcel of land. It is unsafe for children and other pedestrians walking around the neighborhood in this location.

Jo Robinson (Dacula , 2023-03-08)

#284

I do not want any more new development (residential) in our zone. 324 & 124 are extremely congested and since I have lived here, it has become more and more dangerous to come out of our community, Daniel Park.

Diana Hise (Dacula, 2023-03-08)

#286

There is too much traffic and congestion in my area.

Roxanne Seymour (Dacula, 2023-03-08)

#287

Opposed to more traffic in the area

Elizabeth Page (Dacula , 2023-03-08)

#288

Any residential new development has the potential to overcrowd a school system that received relief from overcrowding with the construction of a new high school (Seckinger). More residences threaten the barely 1 year relief experienced by Mill Creek families.

Rashida Wilson (Dacula, 2023-03-08)

#289

I live in the immediate vicinity of this location, and already have concerns about the heavy population and traffic in the area. So much so, that my husband and I aren’t sure we will continue to want to live in this area much longer. This kind of growth just cannot be sustained where we live.

Kathryn Hong (Dacula, 2023-03-08)

#290

I live in a subdivision on 324. It is almost impossible to turn left and sometimes right out of my neighborhood. There is an accident at least once a week. Most people do not slow down at the school zone. An all rental neighborhood is being built across from proposed community. It is almost done….majority of homes unoccupied. I do not believe we can handle any more people/cars on 124/324

Tamara North (Dacula, 2023-03-08)

#291

Our community is already over populated.

Jordan North (dacula, 2023-03-08)

#293

This area zone is already congested and will cause increased traffic and challenges in this area.

Shirley Eloi (Dacula, 2023-03-09)

#294

The safe traffic concerns for that area and the congestion it would bring to an already densely populated and congested intersection.

Leo Lussier (Buford, 2023-03-09)

#295

I have lived in Gwinnett County since 1986, I agree: Should residents of the area have to sacrifice traffic safety and quality of life because 11 of the 19 acres are unbuildable? The applicant cites the property’s “steep” and “severe” topography as the reasons for requesting waivers and variances and ignoring the Hamilton Mill 324/124 Overlay District requirements. The applicant claims the zoning is why the three parcels haven't been developed-it's not the zoning it's the topography!

John Hallaran (Buford, 2023-03-11)
