I got involved in Rink Hockey in 2011, where I heped run a club and watch my two children playing.
I became a referee and secretary of the region, set up a second club with some senior players in the sport and watched the development of so many children whom were excluded from many other sports and found their talent on the rink playing Rink Hockey.
I feel it's one of the best sports where you actually see different developments in children and their confidence.
From the first time they learn to skate, to different skating techniques used in rink hockey (skid stop, skating backwards) to managing a stick and controlling a ball and scoring through slapshots or flicks etc.
Its Sad to see this sport is not included in the Olympic Games or recognised when there are so many talented players across the world playing this amazing sport.

It should be, it's a great sport and my children love playing it. Over the last season after my child did a 6 week taster course at school then joined our local club, had been picked for playing for England in Portugal and has gone on to play Regionals and Nationals with her team mates and that's just last season.
