I deserved that 99.6 percentile more than someone who scored 50 marks less than me irrespective of difficulty level, I could have scored same marks as them in their shift but it all came down to luck. Similarly, someone scoring a 190 deserves 90%ile more than someone who scores 151 in another paper.

Exam should be fair to everyone and not rely on some luck

Last year I got 92.06 %ile without even studying for jee and this time I came to Kota, enrolled in a coaching, did a lot of hardwork specifically for jee but still I am getting 93.18 %ile. I am totally devastated.

Thank you NTA for ruining my life.

NTA is a terrible organisation. Their normalisation system is terrible. How is it expected to get 278 for the 99.9th percentile out of 300, when it normally comes to around 240? WHAT? And how is that 236/300 marks are required for 99th percentile in the easiest shift and 151 marks are required for the most difficult shift in the 99th percentile. THAT IS A DIFFERENCE OF 85 marks, NEARLY AN ENTIRE SUBJECT. This has never happened in the history of the JEE Examination. Why such disparity? And it was not that the difficult of one was board-level and the other was olympiad level; they were all of nearly the same level.

NTA should re evaluate the results by comparing with mean results, or even median results but taking the %ile system got up a total failure

A highly competitive exam for getting into government subsidised colleges should be fair to all and never be based on luck, should contain less variations in difficulty across different shifts and must stick to the prescribed syllabus(shouldn't contain parts which are clearly deleted).

because NTA has been unfair with lakhs of students like me. Does'nt know how to coonduct a goddamn exam, people suicide because of them. TERRIBLE! I could have gotten into tier 1 college easily, but because of this shitty organisation, I am not getting any college now.

I also gave the exam on 27th January shift 2 and scored 110 marks. One of my friends who gave exam on 31st January also scored 110 marks but got 95%ile ie his cutoff is cleared whereas I'm stuck at 90.12%ile which as of now has little chance of clearing the cutoff. I want the cutoff to be reduced for 27th and 29th January.

I'm signing because the normalisation is not even a little bit transparent regarding releasing information about it by the nta and secondly nta being a shit organization putting 3+lakh kids on 27 and remaing on 29 and handful on the later dates

I wrote the 27th shift 2 paper and got 98.47 percentile at 195 marks and when I attempted the 31st shift 2 paper I scored 175 marks which is easily above 99.5 percentile, which would have given me CSE in Nit Trichy under HS quota. The best part is I attempted the 31st paper casually unlike my actual jee mains. Difficulty wise there should not have been such a huge disparity. I beg NTA to take better efforts in paper normalisation.
