The brutality of this senseless attack is utterly shocking and this individual is clearly a threat to all.

This ridiculous that old people are attacked like this and nothing happens to the perpetrators

Our neighborhood is a soft target now for criminals. Pensioners are probably the most vulnerable. Seriously tired of criminals not paying the price for their behaviour. NO BAIL!!!!

This is a senseless violent act on an old defenseless women. When people do such things they are begging to be put or remain in jail.

Rabin Singh (Chatsworth, 2024-02-22)

I vehemently oppose the bail application of this criminal who committed a heinous act.

Punnie Pillay (Kzn, 2024-02-22)

This is unacceptable. You cannot let a violent criminal walk the streets knowing he is capable of doing this again. This is the issue with the justice system on SA and the reason why the crime rate is ridiculously high, a blatant criminal has too many rights and little to no consequence for their actions.

Omkar Bhundoo (Durban, 2024-02-22)

Too often it's the perpetrators who have more rights than the victims. What threat does a 76 year old person pose to a criminal. Yet these savage and brutal attacks happen aily in SA, and these perpetrators are allowed back in society. How many times has he done this without being caught, and if the law is truly just, then he should not be allowed bail in order to continue perpetrating these crimes or even flee to another province to harm others.

Mohammed Rasool (Johannesburg , 2024-02-22)

Because he's a treat to our community, and for the elders that are in our community.

Jenny Christie (Durban, 2024-02-22)

I am outraged that a very dangerous criminal who is obviously capable of doing a murder should be considered to be able to get bail and be in the community, this person needs to be kept inside for everyone's safety.

Denise Colleen Masson (Durban, 2024-02-22)

People like this do not deserve to get bail they need jail time

MARC Bentley (durban, 2024-02-22)

What's the point of arresting criminals if you can let them out to commit more crimes? Seems counterproductive...

Crime is out of hands in this country and for people to be safe the law need to be changed to make this a better country

Parading GBV (Gender-based Violence) and femicide shouldn't just be a marketing front for businesses to gain community support, and made in the president's speech. Protection for women, especially the elderly, should first and foremost come from the legal system.
Allowing bail on a convicted criminal is a FAILURE to not only women, but to everyone who may be the next protentional victim. It's a failure on upholding the GBV and femicide movement, and the right to be safety.

This gentleman is a danger to society & he should not be given bail & should be incarcerated for a lengthy time. There is little chance of rehabilitation.

Chantal Scott (Durban, 2024-02-22)

He deserves to be in jail.

Yutika Gangadaran (Durban, 2024-02-22)

I am deeply disturbed by the extent this man took to so severely harm an elderly person and knowing he could continue to be free makes me scared for my safety and more importantly, the safety of the women he victimized
