Since i enrolled in my pharmacy degree i have been watching the role of a pharmacist in most sectors ive seen little by little a profession which during my studies i was told is ours to uphold and protect for citizens being taken from pharmacists one regulation at a time. Most laws that have come to pass are undermining to pharmacists stripping them of ownership of first owning pharmacies but still we could be RPs but now no the next step will be watering down our scope making us seem replaceable by a few short courses next anyone can do these courses although this is my conspirical thinking i understand the world we live in and more importantly to run a business you want as little specialised parts as possible making maintenance and improvement easier these laws unfortunately are what lead to lower assurances of medication quality and provision of pharmaceutical care to patients in the long run having worked in organisations where a pharmacists scope has been sold out i really see no one better equiped to control the pharmaceutical supply chain better than pharmacists who have graduated.

I believe that Qualified pharmacists are more than capable of upholding all the standards set out by Good Pharmacy Practice with regards to being a responsible pharmacist. Our training and experience allows for us to put into practice all the necessary requirements. An additional course would be useless and hindering for young pharmacists to venture into having their own business.
