Due to the vast area from which the club members originates, it is a must that the club will arrange & accept virtual (on line) participation of club members who can not attend physical meetings, voting & consultation.

I'm signing because SCSA members are spread over a large geographical area and all members should have the ability to have their voice heard and be able to vote on issues regardless of their physical location.

I want our clubs meetings to be available to all members

I would like our SCSA club to be back to the way it was “fair and honest to all members “ I have no confidence in the president or vice president and would like a AGM vote to go ahead for our club

As a past permanent resident to the sunshine coast and SCSA member, and as a regular visitor to the area, I still hold an interest in the club and its direction.

The club membership has grown in geographical area, number of members and diversity of personnel / workplace commitments. That single point meetings at a fixed (sometimes remote)location prejudice a significant portion of the membership.

I can't guarantee I can physically make it to an AGM, but I still deserve to have my chance to vote.

We're in the 21st century and online participation is pretty standard these days.

Matthew McIntyre (Brisbane , 2024-03-08)

If we want a truly democratic club, then I believe online participation is essential.

Phil Kirkman (Maleny, 2024-03-08)

It’s only fair to have an online attendance if you have to travel interstate for work reasons or family medical emergencies.

Stewart Gould (Bokarina , 2024-03-08)

I live on the Sunshine Coast but I often work interstate.

We should do this

I believe in giving all members the voice and easy access to participation and decision making about club matters. We pay the fees and have the right to get involved as easily as possible. Transparency and involvement are the very essence of club aviation.

Reasonable and fair process which resonates with generally good or excellence in governance - hybrid meetings should be allowed to ensure all voices are heard.

I think it is important that all members have a voice at the meetings, which means wider accessibility and use of online voting.

Ben Clarke (Moffat Beach, 2024-03-08)

The technology is readily available and high quality, so why not enable as many people as possible to participate?

Susy Goldner (Nudgee Beach, 2024-03-08)

I'm often away for work and rarely make club meetings. It's only logical to allow online attendance for all members.

Tom Knock (Nambour, 2024-03-08)

I am keen to be part of the club and be involved in matters however my work and family commitments means I can’t guarentee my availability to make meetings.

Daron Brinsdin (Brisbane, 2024-03-08)

I believe the only way to conduct a fair and inclusive AGM is to provide online access for members to attend wherever they may be.

Carly Moss (Morayfield , 2024-03-09)

I would like to have the online voting option for important decisions that the community has to make

Gary Cox (Forest Glen, 2024-03-09)

I believe it is important for every member of the SCSA to be able to attend the AGM and other Meetings.

there are many benefits to being able to join online and this has been adopted by a lot of associations over the last few years.

Especially hard for some of us to get to the AGM as it is often hosted at the Teewah hanger which requires a 4WD to get to this does discriminate against a lot of people within the club from attending.

additionally trying to get a couple hundred members to drive all the way to a meeting (regardless of location) is a waste of petrol and a detriment to the environment when there are better options to allow for all members to attend.

Christian Garcia (Brisbane, 2024-03-09)

I feel with modern technologies shall come modern approaches to club meetings. With a busy lifestyle it can be hard for some to attend in person but able to attend online and cast their vote thus indicating a true opinion of current club members.

Mitchell Williams (Brisbane , 2024-03-09)

As a newer member, I'm invested in the activities of the club and how it works to support its membership. This proposal will increase transparency and make it easier for members to be informed and maybe offer a meaningful contribution, making the club stronger.
