As regulars to Woodgate Caravan, we believe the cafe was something that completed the holiday by serving beautiful food for either take away or dine in ! Such a lovely setting g under the trees and overlooking the ocean .
Please reconsider and reopen our cafe !!

Serenity Cove is a very special place to those who live or stay in Woodgate. Closing it is a bad decision. The community will suffer. GBU 9

This cafe has been an integral part of the caravan park in various forms on and off over the 40 years I have been staying at Woodgate on family holidays. The past 9 years under the management of Jacqui & Rob , Serenity Cove Cafe has been nothing short of ‘Beyond Outstanding’ in every possible way. This cafe is more than a drawcard, it is a part of the total holiday - this includes not only the location but the Amazing service , food, and friendship. It is a gross understatement to say that Serenity Cove Cafe , Jacqui, Rob & staff with leave a monumental hole in my future holiday experiences at Woodgate. VERY BAD DECISION BY NRMA TO ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN.

It’s such a lovely little spot to sit back and enjoy your coffee and a bite to eat when you’re visiting Woodgate and staying at the NRMA park. You don’t need to drive anywhere, just a simple walk to the front of the park. One of the many reasons I’m a return customer every year

Deb Spencer (Elimbah, 2024-04-23)

We’ve been coming to Woodgate for 17 years the cafe is always a place we have some breakfast, lunch and a dinner.
I really think it’s been great the kids go and get their wraps the hot chips and more.
It would be a fantastic opportunity for someone to have a licensed small bar and an early morning coffee outlet.
Coffee window was open far to late.

Trudy Lynch (Brisbane , 2024-04-23)

We regularly purchase food and coffee from SCC as do many other locals - not to mention the plethora of holiday makers. We need Serenity Cove Cafe in our small community. Please reconsider the decision to close it.

We would like to keep visiting the cafe
There are not many options locally and my husband cannot travel far so this was our treat

Barbara Otto (Redridge, 2024-04-23)

Because the cafe not only services the local residents at Woodgate but also the visitors that stay at the caravan park and in holiday rentals and this business booms down there. Without it there is nothing that comes even close. It would be a huge loss to the caravan park also as the main reason people go back to stay s because the cafe is just there in the park which makes it a wonderful place for people to stay, without it I think the caravan park itself will suffer a tremendous loss of business. This coming from a girl that has grown up holidaying at woogate all my life and also having family live there. Trust me you do not want to lose this business.

I visit Woodgate several times a year and love this cafe….it is part of the reason I stay at the caravan park.

Katrina Maynard (Bokarina, 2024-04-23)

Would love to see the cafe reopen as it is a major part of the caravan park and the local community.

Wayne Faulkner (Cashmere, 2024-04-23)

My family and I visit the cafe every year for our holiday, there is hardly anything at woodgate and this cafe is treasured by all, locals and visitors. It’s a huge mistake to shut this down

I’m signing because going to the Cafe is all part of the beautiful attraction to Woodgate !
Sunday drives and coffee or fish n chips
It’s a beautiful spot that deserves support to stay open !!

Kelly Horan (Bundaberg , 2024-04-24)

Other than Woodgate being a beautiful place to start with, Serenity Cafe was one the things that attracted us to Woodgate. To be able to sit outside, opposite the beach, and be able to enjoy great food and coffee was perfect.

Sheryl Bergel (Woodgate, 2024-04-24)

I am semi retired to Woodgate and it is a great place to meet friends and have amazing food and drink

Susan Leather (Kepnock, 2024-04-24)

We travel out from Bundaberg some weekends as the food and atmosphere are lovely. Would be disappointing to see it not reopen.

This little Cafe is the hub of the Woodgate Beach community. It serves very good food, and is a meeting place for many locals and tourist alike. It would be a great disservice for this Cafe to close.

Lorraine Hodge (Bundaberg , 2024-04-24)

The cafe has always been part of the complete holiday deal we used to look forward to. Not to mention the best food.

Dagmar Young (Brisbane , 2024-04-24)

We have been coming to Woodgate for ten years and this is the only place for a nice meals during the day and a coffee especially when staying at the caravan park please do not close the cafe

Natalie Wyatt (Brisbane , 2024-04-24)

I'm signing because we always have breakfast at Serenity Cove on our regular visits to Woodgate and we have taken visitors for lunch and dinner. It has always been the best food and service in Woodgate!

Penny Choyce (Woodgate, 2024-04-24)

we need good food options in woodgate

Serenity Cafe is our family’s favourite venue for many years. It makes Woodgate special. To lunch on the deck in the shade of the stunning almond trees, was always a special treat. The owners hosted my book launch and I wouldn’t have had chosen any other venue. It will be a big mistake not to reopen this very special, serene place..

Helena Botros (Redridge, 2024-04-24)

#86

I'm signing because I believe NRMA are unaware of the impact that closing Serenity Cofe will have on the holidaying community and on the local community.
Woodgate is a small close knit community that backs each other. NRMA you have a brand to follow, but there is always room to improve and room to retain the uniqueness of each community.

Desley Staatz (Woodgate, 2024-04-24)

#87

This is a local business that adds tremendously to the community.

Sarah-Jane Gregory (Woodgate, 2024-04-24)

Signing because Serenity Cove Cafe is like a landmark for Woodgate, for more reasons than one.

Lorraine Elsmore (Woodgate, 2024-04-24)

Woodgate needs a lovely cafe like this for its residents and the thousands of tourists who visit each year.

Irene Williams (Woodgate, 2024-04-24)

This is a part of Woodgate everyone loves, it is somewhere people from all over come together and enjoy the ambience of Woodgate.

I’m signing because this is an integral part of the Woodgate community and a great service to the caravan part visitors. It has a fantastic reputation for great coffee and delicious food.

Fran Smith (Woodgate, 2024-04-24)

#104

I’m signing this petition because this cafe has been a Central Park of our annual holidays for the past 10 years. Coffee on our morning walks, breakfast and lunch during our 2 week stay. We do t stay at the caravan park but we use and love the cafe

Karen casey (Albany Creek, 2024-04-24)

#105

This is everyone's "go-to" Cafe when visiting Woodgate and an absolute must for Woodgate's local community.
Not everyone wants to go to a licensed venue and neither the local hotel or club serve breakfast/brunch, which has become part of the Australian way of life.
I trust the NRMA understands they are doing Woodgate a disservice by closing the cafe and so too their paying guests, who rely heavily on this cafe for meals.
Shame on the NRMA!

Cate Handley (Hervey Bay, 2024-04-24)

The Cafe is one of our families favourite places to go to, for breakfast and lunch.

Emma Dempster (Glass House Mountains , 2024-04-24)

I agree that cafe makes Woodgate what it is, close it down you might as well shut down Woodgate.

Carol Williamson (Brisbane, 2024-04-24)

#119

I’m signing because this is a massive loss for such a small town, We are Woodgate residents and will sadly miss Serenity Cafe, we had many great times and great meals with friends and family.

Gary Donaldson (Woodgate, 2024-04-24)

#121

I’m signing because we are local Woodgate residents and have very much enjoyed breakfasts, lunches and early dinners from the Cafe over the years. The cafe is an integral part of the caravan park experience and the community more broadly - we don’t have a lot of options down here.

Di Donaldson (Woodgate, 2024-04-24)

#122

As a resident of our community, this will be a huge loss not for just Woodgate residents but all the tourists who stay at the park. People travel in our wider area also to Serenity Cove. The setting quite unique with the beautiful tree hugging the Cafe and ocean views. It is the only place with the beautiful ambience in Woodgate.

Jenny Ralph (Woodgate, 2024-04-24)

#125

Love going there for coffee or lunch and meeting up with friends

Barb Martin (Woodgate, 2024-04-24)

#135

I’m signing this because I would like to strongly put my name down for the NRMA Park to show that they need to keep a cafe at NRMA Holiday Park. It is not only good for the residents of Woodgate but also great for the visitors to the park. As the cafe has been closed and the lease not renewed.

Madison Vacher (Bundaberg , 2024-04-24)

#136

The cafe is such an important part of the Woodgate community. Woodgate locals and tourists will suffer greatly if this is to remain closed for good.

Lisa Arjona (Woodgate, 2024-04-24)

#141

Iconic cafe, we love going to Woodgate NRMA and just enjoy the atmosphere at the cafe. Bests breaky and coffee. Please don’t change that

#145

This is a sad loss to the people and visitors of our little piece of paradise. Serenity cove is the most popular meeting spot along the esplanade for both locals and visitors . This is a shocking decision by the NRMA group and clearly one made without a viewing by the larger corporate group.

leanne perry (woodgate , 2024-04-24)

#154

Woodgate needs this valuable service.

Donna Anderson (Childers, 2024-04-24)

As local home owners we regularly visit the cafe. Has always been a fabulous asset to Woodgate.

Fiona Jonker (South Isis, 2024-04-25)

#157

I think it's very important to retain a cafe at the park and also provide a choice for the people of Woodgate and holiday makers regards dining/takeaway options

Gary Glass (Woodgate, 2024-04-25)

#158

We go this park often for a lovely getaway. Always have snack from this cafe every trip. Big shame if it’s lost

We visit the NRMA caravan park in Woodgate quite often and love visiting the cafe for morning tea and lunch…we will be devastated and would think twice about visiting if the cafe is not there 😢

Marion Holland (Maryborough, 2024-04-25)

#181

It is an institution and you will lose many caravanners as well as the regular local business.

Robyn Taylor (Woodgate, 2024-04-26)

The cafe is an integral part of a holiday at NRMA Woodgate Beach. Will not be the same if it isn’t there

Kath Bartkowiak (Jamberoo, 2024-04-26)

We have stayed at the Caravan Park for 2 weeks every September for the last 15 years and Serenity Cove Cafe is a big part of why we come back every year.

I visit the caravan park regularly & often have a meal, coffee, takeaway etc from the Cafe. Being the only Cafe in woodgate it is a shame to know it has closed. NMRA please use your staff to man it
