Request for Speed Humps on North block of Thomas Road in Fairfax

We the residents of Fairfax request that two speed humps be installed on the north block (2200 block) of Thomas Road, between Sandra Road and Fairfax Blvd.

This block of Thomas Road has a hill that crests in the middle of the block.  The crest blocks the view of parked cars, bicyclists, runners and children playing on the other side of the crest to approaching cars until they have reached the top of the hill.  There have been numerous complaints regarding speeding in the neighborhood, including Thomas Road, and obstructed view in conjunction with speeding motorists, as well as Thomas being a "cut-through" to Murphy Road, we feel that there is a significant safety concerns for our neighbors and especially children.

We feel that a speed hump on each side of the hill will slow approaching traffic to a safe speed for anyone on the other side of the crest.

Requested approximate locations of speed humps in comparison to crest of hill.

View from crest of hill.  previous picture shows that you cannot see the car parked on the right side of this picture.  any car or person past the crest cannot be seen to vehicles approaching until they have reached the crest of the hill.  If the vehicle is travelling to fast, there is a significant safety issue.
